We opted for an "off-site" apartment that was listed on the Harbor House Apartment website as being "part of the Harbor House Inn." We chose this option due to having 7 people in our party. However, on the day of check-in, I received an email clearly writing "BREAKFAST, SNACKS, BOTTLED WATER, COOKIES OR ACCESS TO THE SCREENED IN PORCH AT THE INN ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO STAY IN THE APARTMENTS" The main reason we chose Harbor House Inn was so my elderly parents could utilize the porch to enjoy the views of the channel and relax indoors while we did other outings they couldn't do. Our off-site apartment was filthy. There was dirt and dust on all the counters. The pull-out couch sheets had so much dirt on them that my son refused to sleep on it. We were on the 3rd floor with loose and broken steps. My Mother just had knee replacement surgery 8 wks prior and could barely get up and down to the apartment. There was not enough room for vehicles to park in the driveway (unless all 3 parties drive small cars) so we had to find parking down the street.
I was told by the Harbor House staff that the apartments were NOT a part of Harbor House Inn yet it clearly states they are on the Harbor House Inn website. It was an extremely disappointing stay. Thankfully the nice lady working that evening at the Harbor House Inn allowed us to cancel our stay for the remainder of the week and we were able to find a hotel close by. I'm sure the Bed and Breakfast is amazing but the off-site apartments were extremely disappointing.

The door to the second floor stairs didn’t latch which means every time another door opens it rattles. It’s an easy fix-
Don’t close it or fix the latch. It kept my wife up the first night especially.

Clean and quiet
Very old style. Physical keys. Room didn't have fridge or microwave. Shower didn't work properly with scalding water. No elevator. Very mediocre breakfast and snacks

Property is within walking distance to beach and downtown Grand Haven where you can find restaurants/bars and shopping. Check in is easy, staff very friendly.
Centennial breakfast (cold). Nothing special. When staying at an Inn, expect a bot breakfast option.

tested out the jet tub and a bunch of black scummy stuff came out of jets.. never ended up using it… the must not get cleaned.

Love the location and updates you made to the rooms.
I think the breakfast could be better. The eggs were not very good. Could change up the breads you offer; not the same multiple days in a row. Previous owners used to offer a really good cinnamon bread from a local bakery. Need to offer a few more options for the price.
