Every motel in Torrington is next to the RR tracks so you hear trains all night. Guests were noisy, one even was escorted out by the police. The shower and sink did not drain well. I reserved a double room, with separate areas with beds. They said they did not have a room like that but in the morning, I saw just such a room next to ours.

Cons: staff hygiene, found dirty towel in our bathroom upon check in, mold growing on ceiling in bathroom, facility under renovation

Staff were smoking right outside the door. Often times had to move the ash try to get in the door.

I have stayed here several times in the last month and I love it. Its clean, reasonably priced, the breakfast is amazing and the complimentary happy hour make this the best hotel around. I wouldn't even consider another hotel in this town or any other town I travel to.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and staff was pleasant.
Television did not work and shower curtain extended over side of walk in shower allowing water to just run all over bathroom floor. Could not be prevented. It took the shower mat and another bath towel to soak up the water.
