Charmant hôtel historique, parking gratuit, près de tous les bons restos, à distance de marche. Grande chambre confortable. Très tranquille.
J'aurais apprécié des rideaux opaques aux fenêtres, la chambre est très ensoleillée.

Friendly, helpful Staff;
Quaintness and historical feel;
Location
Lumpy, old mattress. Not as clean as I had hoped. Not bad tho.

Old fashioned with lovely furnishings

It was uniquely old building, lots of character, had an elevator, cool fireplace, complimentary coffee and tea at all hours, staff was attentive and friendly
It looked a bit abandoned in the back parking area, the inside could use some severe updates such as new carpets, locks on the doors were not modern or up to date for safety I would recommend bringing a door wedge. It was loud at night with people walking and talking all hours. There was no room service the three days that I stayed there.

quirkey great property with lots of history and terrific shops and restaurants nearby. Found a new cocktail bar around the corner. All was a wonderful surprise . Btw suggest reading the hotel welcome book and see the murals in the Vermont room.

From the checkin with Tom to checking out Sunday morning, all went smoothly and was quite enjoyable. My sister and I enjoyed Tom’s dry sense of humor. He’s quite the character. It was an easy walk to Elixir for dinner Saturday night and the service, menu selections and waitstaff were all exceptional. Our room was on the second floor facing the back of the building. Very comfortable, clean and perfect for our two night stay.
Our only suggestion is to install some kind of shelf or rack in the shower stall to hold soap, shampoos, etc.

A comfortable, clean, quiet, Hotel with a good location to get to Long Trail Brewery and the Annual Craftsmen Fair at Sunapee State Park in NH.

It was a cool experience and the property was neat for what it was.
The pictures online are a bit deceiving. The rooms were small- SO SMALL. The AC is a window unit that mean you can hear every noise outside. The elevator was so slow it was worrisome.

The charm of the building is in the age, with some nice period features. The location is good, and you can walk to several eateries. The staff were very friendly and the stay was a great value. The bed was ok. Obviously, remodeling and overhauling are pricey but this place could be fabulous.
The rooms need some remodeling, but even overlooking that, the housekeeping was not good. They need to replace their scratchy towels and lumpy pillows.

Some slats missing from blinds. Would have like room darkening curtains, or at least any curtains.

Good sized room in a hotel with a lot of character. I love old historic buildings! It's also very central in the town and yet so close to the highway.
The elevator was so slow.

Nice historic feel. Friendly staff.
Loud comedy club. also room had space heater in it. Should also note only local challenges.

Great old historic property. Comfortable and homey (fireplace, coffee, tea, cocoa in the lobby). We had one of our three children who was able to join at the last minute and the manager was able to place us in a different more spacious room at nearly the same rate. Helpful and friendly.

Need to have this! Not really available.
Place for a meal.

old world charm, historical.
the noise from the steam valve release of the old heating system, could also hear people outside on the street talking « thin walls? guess it sort of comes with the old world charm.

No in-house breakfast, but the nearby Four Aces diner is also a classic.
We loved it all, but if you're looking for cookie cutter American hotel chain style, this isn't it.

very nice staff
yes, it is vintage but vintage does not need to be so run down.

Andrew working the Reception and the lady (don’t have her name) the next day.
No microwave in the room. Lack of cleaning help so in a 4 night stay just 1 day of help making beds, taking the trash out etc.
limited to no options for food .. lack of restaurants the evening we arrived. Thankfully we could order pizza.
Suggest putting up a clock in the lobby. Lots of framed pictures but a clock a must especially for a hotel where guests are typically on a schedule..

For an older hotel it still had its charm and was well kept. The painting alone was remarkable. Cozy quiet and warm made for a good nights rest.
Consruction outside was unavoidable and made walking to dinner a bit hazardous for us older folks. The shower was a little weak and the soap bar so small it slipped into the open drain in the tub. A strainer over the hole is a simple solution.
