The room was clean and comfortable. Hosts were very kind and also they let us leave our luggage before check in and after check out as our schedule was beyond estimated hours.
The room does not have black out curtains so it was illuminated both at night because of the garden’s lights and during the day because of the sun. It was not great for sleeping.

The room was spacious, cheerful, with high ceilings and lovely light. The tree-lined street made the room feel welcoming and homey. There was a large sitting area downstairs and breakfast was made to order.
The furniture was old but lacked charm. The staff was efficient and professional but not necessarily warm. It was lovely to feel what it would have been like to live in an old graceful row home in a beautiful area of town but the building felt tired and lacking a little love.

In addition to being clean and well maintained, the room was very well appointed with traditional style sofa, chairs, tables, lighting and basic necessities. The continental breakfast was more than complete and included a freshly baked quiche and apple strudel. Breakfast was served with real dishes and utensils and not disposable stuff. This was truly like being at home as opposed to a fast-food place.
The most enjoyable aspect of the stay was the warm reception and attentiveness of the staff (Maria). The hostess made certain you were sincerely welcomed and comfortable. I am already looking for an excuse to return.

Everything about La Reserve is wonderful. It is conveniently located close to Rittenhouse Square and some wonderful restaurants. The whole city is walkable from this location with its museums and shopping.

Such a charming B&B, home away from home! Staff is very nice and helpful. Location is convenient. Will stay again for my next trip to philadelphia!
Certain upgrade/repair will be needed. I think they are working on it as they have a new ownership.

The fact that this cost as much as an airbnb but you get so much more was worth it. Complimentary breakfast every morning downstairs with coffee, eggs, and a great atmosphere. The room was spacious, bathroom extremely clean, and the staff were very kind. Planning to stay here every time a Philly visit is in order.

Great location near Rittenhouse Square, beautiful old row-house with spacious, high-ceiling rooms and antique furniture.
We had no problems, partly because our room was one flight up (in a four-story building without an elevator and it had air conditioning. At this time there are some rooms without air conditioning, so check if that is a concern.
