On the water!
Small room, bathroom and sink awkward.

The location was good, and that it was across the street from the water. However, my view was of garbage from a restaurant between me and that water the room was insanely small and I had to climb down, steep steps just to get into it. They said it had daily housekeeping, but the housekeeper never made the bed only brought a few new towels.
This room should not even be rented. I believe there was a nice room next to mine that was on level ground, but this one was is where Cinderella would’ve been sent.

The location was excellent! Foot travel distance to the beach, local shops, and the pub next-door. The room was also adorable and spacious. It included amenities that you don't usually think of, such as plates, cups, and silverware!
It is an older house, which means very thin walls. Not anything to knock the place, but something to definitely keep in mind. I did also notice some overdue deep cleaning in the room, such as behind the mirror.

Loved that it was quiet, even though right on RT 1, which made it a great location, close to everything. Room was clean and bed was comfortable enough.
Room is very small - too small to exercise, which I like to do every day.

Genuine and comfortable room by the sea.

Dorothee is full of energy and full of presence! The cottage is so beautiful and the position is what you would like to have! Wonder.

DELIGHTFUL LOCATION FOR A WEEKEND RETREAT! Lovely little village with good restaurants within walking distance, a beer store with driving distance, and a good story or two from generous hosts! A beautiful sunny porch for your morning coffee and a small sandy beach within 5 minutes of the cabin. Beautiful views of the quiet harbor, and pleasantly out of the mainstream tourist rush. Central to coastal locations.

great backyard and access to the beach
we stayed on the second floor of the apartment and had to be mindful of the guest staying on the first floor.

the room was lovely. Really well appointed with attention to every detail
Room was very small.

Had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, clean and cozy and near the water.
TV is very old.

It was clean and, I appreciated the Honeywell tower fan.
My room was the smallest they have, I appreciate the price I had on it, but it was smaller than I expected.

There was no breakfast. The location was the best part of this place. Beautiful view of beach and ocean.
This room is so tiny it really shouldn't be rented as a room. The bathroom was nothing more than a tiny closet with a toilet on it. Sink was next to the bed. I'm not a large person, and I could barely move in the shower. My husband literally got wedged in there! Worse part was, the kitchen entrance to the restaurant next door was right under the windows to our room. That includes dumpsters...which were slammed open and closed until 10:30/11 until closing every night when employees threw trash. Worse part was, the restaurant employees standing out there talking and smoking. They might as well have been in our room! Only saw the owner, Dorothee, once, at check in. She wasn't unfriendly or friendly...just seemed in a hurry, like she was being put out by having to check us in. Fortunately, we were not in the room most of the day, but the time we spent in the room was not comfortable.

It is a beautiful, friendly, cozy little town right on the ocean and Beach Cottage Inn is one of the best places I have had the privilege to stay in. The Inn keeper makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this place.

Very nice owner met us for check in and gave us information on area. This is an inn with rooms in close proximity and shared patio area. We had the smallest room which was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. If we returned we would opt for a larger room for more than a nights stay. Affordable compared to other places in the area. Excellent location as you can walk to the few restaurants available. Steps to the small beach area which was great and sunrise/sunsets so beautiful. Bonus was the Whales Tooth Pub right next door. Indoor and outdoor water view seating. Great food and live music. Met so many friendly locals.
We would have liked a bit more privacy for our romantic excursion but that is no reflection on the Inn. Enjoyed our stay. Camden and Belfast close drive if you want the " tourist" activity. This is a small, quiet area. Plan to spend lots of money if your seeking the "Maine" seafood experience.

The location
when we booked online it said we would get breakfast. Online it said the bed was a queen.
We got there and fond the room we stayed in was rather small.the bed was uncomfortable, and it was more of a double and not a queen. I'm glad we only booked for 2 nights.

Host was very friendly. Location was great, right by the ocean. Room was sparkling clean and coffee was provided in the room with full kitchen.

Convenient location. Lovely decor. Owner was friendly & knowledgeable about the area. It was a nice place to celebrate our anniversary. 😊
The mattress was worn out causing both people to roll into middle. This was hard on our backs.

Our Beach Cottage Inn room was very cute and spacious. When we arrived, everything was clean and ready for out stay. The location is lovely- you can walk to the waterfront from the Inn.

It was a beautiful apartment & comfortable. The staff was very friendly and took care of our needs.
I have a bad knee so it was a little tough to go up & down the stairs.

The Inn was cosy, clean, and there was a small beach at low tide. The innkeeper was wonderful and very responsive.
No matter the price, we would have liked to hang up our clothes. There was no place to sit in the 8 by 10 “Puffin’s Nest” besides the bed. The air conditioner was positioned right over the bed pillows, so we didn’t use it. May I suggest a good quality pullout sofa for that room? Then a wall tv bigger than 12” could be hung on the opposite wall, and the ac unit wouldn’t be blowing on guest’s heads as they sleep. Just a suggestion for small but adorable room.

very warm welcome, room clean and had everything needed. A few steps to beach and a few more to ferry. Excellent restaurant next door.
I could have missed directions on the website or email, but parking to register was a bit hairy, right off busy Rt. 1 (turned out there's plenty of parking around the back, using the next-door restaurant's driveway. While the inn itself is charming and my room was cozy, its location along the side of the inn meant that anyone coming up the side stairs could see directly into my room, particularly at the bed (which, in this small room, was the comfortable place to sit). That required deciding between having privacy or having fresh air through an uncurtained screen door. The view out of this door was the back of the next-door restaurant (and employees on break). I wouldn't choose this room again (although for one night it was OK for the price) but I would definitely look into other rooms at this inn and be willing to pay more. Great location for quite a few reasons, and as said previously, a charming spot on the shore.
