the view and how close it was to the beach and walking trails. also loved the bathtub and fireplace with morning/evening deck views of the ocean, especially at sunset.

very nice place for staying

The view was amazing. And the walking trail was right outside our room, but it was too cold and windy/rainy to walk. It was a winter visit, so we didn’t expect to walk.

The room was very cold when we got back from dinner. The heater was insufficient to warm the room. The bed coverings were skimpy, so we were cold all night. There was a slightly unpleasant smell to the room. The bathroom needs updating. It took a very long time of running the hot water to get hot water. The toilet was low to the ground and the bathroom was cold.

Beautiful large ocean front room. The room had a large minifridge with freezer and a microwave. The was a balcony with chairs to watch the sunset. The fireplace worked very well, in fact it kicked out so much heat we had to open the doors to cool the room back down. Great location just north of town with an oceanfront walkway that will take you to Glass Beach. The folks at reception were very friendly/hlepful with suggestion about things to do in the area. Amazing room for the price-will stay here again if back up in Mendocino County.

ocean view was the only thing that I liked about the property.

Rooms looked like they hadn’t been updated since the 1950s. Purple carpets look worse in person than they do in the photos. Bathrooms door looked like someone had kicked it in. The living room area looked out window into an 8 foot high wall that was 4 feet away (i.e., no view and not outside light). When we saw the property and the room that we were given we asked the front desk if we could cancel but the manager held to the 72 hour cancellation policy and kept our money even though we left and booked elsewhere through booking.com.

Large clean room with two separate sleeping areas, Receptionist was very friendly and helpful - full of good answers to my questions. Great view of the ocean. You can hear the surf from your room.

The view and walking trail were fabulous. The black out curtains worked well.

The couch in the sitting area was old and uncomfortable.

very clean with a beautiful view

Smokers came to the back of the building and smoked on the path near our room, making our non-smoking balcony very smokey. The lights at night outside our room shined into our room; the bed was set up so that light was directly in your eyes. There was no microwave.
