Breakfast was good. Hotel was clean.
Front desk staff was not very friendly. We had a 2 night stay and were not notified that the room would not be cleaned. We were out of the hotel for most of the day, when we returned later in the afternoon we noticed that our room was not cleaned. We informed the front desk and were told it would be cleaned. We returned 2 hours later and it still was not cleaned. Finally, a different person at the front desk informed us that ever since covid, the hotel does not routinely clean the rooms and provide new towels. We were not informed of this at check in. This was very frustrating. Finally they sent us clean towels.

surprisingly quiet given close-to-interstate location. well taken care of. excellent breakfast
maybe it's too much to ask for a Hilton Garden Inn, but there was no one doing the kind of things that the bell captains of old used to do-- knowing the area, restaurant recommendations, etc. Post-covid, 3-star hotels are now all charging 4-star or 5-star rates, but not upping their service level accordingly.

Appear to have been overcharged. No final bill received, requested in person and then subsequently through multiple booking.com chat messages with zero response. Booking.com should make things easier, I do not want to make international phone calls to fix things. If you are on booking.com you should respond to booking.com messages.
Update: Eventually sorted after a few weeks.

Loved the night front desk and bar and grill staff they were great. Nice location. Nice size room. Breakfast was good. The gym is very well equipped.
The floors in the elevator were messy. And the tables in the eating area needed better cleaning. Also, the room had a little bit of an old smell.

We loved the location it was close to where we were visiting. The man named John at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was very kind and welcoming. The pool & spa was nice as well.
Saw two men go from sweaty fitness center into pool. Ew!

I asked for an invoice, and they said it was charged through Booking.com., so not there responsibility. when I received my credit card charge it was direct from the hotel, so I rang them to request an official hotel receipt, and they again said it was not possible. When I checked my booking in booking.com, it correctly stated the hotel will invoice directly. Is this the only hotel in the world that cannot issue an invoice? I have not had a problem at any other Hilton or other company.

Very loud wedding party woke me up late at night and continued for some time. Front desk said next day I should have called to be moved… at 2 am with a sleeping child. 🙄
