We have an annual get-together with some of my high school friends every year and we meet in Wausau because it's a central location. We used to stay at a different place, but that hotel is now closed, so we gave the Rib Mountain Inn a try. It's delightful. The inn primarily serves skiers at Granite Peak during the season, but it's a nice spot tucked into a high-end residential neighborhood; it's cozy, less than 20 rooms, and you do have some stairs to navigate, but they're quite upfront about that, so we were not concerned. We had two rooms and they were both comfortable; one of the rooms had a kitchenette and a nice table that made it possible to sit down and have snacks and beverages right in the room. It's exceptionally quiet; no traffic noise or other distractions. They had a simple but adequate breakfast selection and all the coffee we wanted. We even worked in a game of cribbage while we ate. We'll definitely be back!

Checkin person was ok. Not what I would call welcoming. Breakfast is cold. Breakfast sandwiches to heat up, pastry, etc. Booking said unit was on ground floor. It was not.

No hot tub, but didn’t say this anywhere when I booked so family so disappointing as they were looking forward to it. Black hairs on my daughters pillow and blood on my bed, but found at 1130bpm when no one was there, so dealt with it. Couldn’t get the Tv to work right - didn’t have ROKU passwords and couldn’t change to other stations, no passwords to use. Loud noises cam from air conditioning so I only slept 3 hrs.

The mini fridge made a weird noise all night but nothing too bad to deal with.

Avoid Room 8 . The shower head doesn’t work properly .. water does not spray comes out like a garden hose . The tv / remote doesn’t work unless you’re standing inches from the router . A staff member reprogrammed tv but it didn’t help .. hotel is aware of problem but refuses to update per employee.

Quiet convenient location. Large clean room with balcony with wooded view. Friendly desk clerk..Good bed. Nice updated bathroom. At foot of Rib Mountain.

Outside landscaping neglected. Minimal breakfast but adequate.

The tub/shower that they ok hours to drain after one shower. My granddaughter refused to shower. A/C was inadequate. Morning worker walked in late (7:03) then griped that she would need time to get breakfast ready and stated she didn’t think any of us would be up already.

The breakfast and location we’re perfect for our needs.

Bus spa outside was not in use and we sure would have liked that as one of their advertised amenities.
