Location was good, not too far from places to eat, as well as shopping.

Whirlpool was nasty, shoe print on side (see pictures below) Some of the staff were very nice and would make sure we had what we needed, then there were other staff members who were rude and didn't have customer service manners. Ask 2 different members of front desk for extra towels one said get from house keeping when they were on the floor the following morning (husband & I weren't there when housekeeping was) the other one gave us towels back for the dirty ones we had but only gave us 1 each of towels, washcloth, & hand towel (2 towels, 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels). We stayed at this location for 9 days and the last 3 we had the only 2 towels that were given to us from the one front desk clerk b/c the other clerk would not give us towels, washcloths, or hand towels (4) b/ said we needed to get them from the housekeeper when they were on the floor, it wasn't there place to give us those essentials for the room. As I said, my husband & I were not there during the same hours as the housekeepers were, so we couldn't get the essential things we needed for our stay from the housekeeper. Mark, the girl on nights (night auditor) and the long hair guy on nights (night auditor) were all 3 amazing and would help any way they could(wish we would have as for towels from them), the older lady, the gentleman with the accent, and the other lady (all day time people) were rude and the 2 of them are ones who we ask for towels (only getting 2 of each) but wouldn't give us any more then those. The older lady is rude, I asked to add another night to stay here, and she replied,'No ma'am we will not, we sold the room for tonight to another customer.' I ask to reserve another room (without whirlpool) older lady replied, 'no ma'am we are completely booked tonight, you need to check out today understand!

The property was close to Appalachian State and plenty of restaurants and stores.

An easy chair was missing from the room!

The staff was amazing they made the stay such a positive and easy experience!! The view we had of the mountain side was also a great plus.

The shower curtains and comforters had some stains on them and the breakfast was nice but could have offered more options.

The door locked successfully.

TV remote did not work. Took second day to get a working one. Fan in bathroom was completely nonfunctional. The room had no kleenex when we checked in. We called the desk to request a box. They said " we'll try". They did not. We finally ask at the front desk and received a box. There were no instructions on how to operate the TV. Trial and error were finally able to get a few stations.

Staff was so nice- Lashundra couldn’t have been nicer… very helpful & friendly. Another staff member, we think was named Jerry, gave us great advice too. The two staff members made our stay rate exceptional.

Not crazy about breakfast options but I don’t eat processed foods so understand there would be little to no choices. A batch of oatmeal would be nice rather than packets of instant. There was no fresh fruit & that would have made me very happy.

The breakfast was not what I was expecting. It would be nice to have some eggs, bacon, sausage and toast.

Loved the pool. They also had a pool table, claw machine and arcade machine. I also liked the rocking chairs, even though one was broken, and the swing out front.

The location was great, although old overall hotel was in decent shape for the price.

The attention to detail and cleanliness l was far below expectations. I didn't expect the Ritz but in a time and place where we are now concerned with human hygiene and cleaning it seems these have all been forgotten. Signs of being green and conservative of water is an understatement. Simple cleaning of bedsheets and areas were lacking to say the least.

The hotel room was dirty. Hallway carpet dirty and spotted we were supposed to get 2 adjoining rooms. I booked it months ago. This did not happen. The staff very unaccompaning. Our TV had to be reprogrammed twice. My room smelled musty..

The room wasn't as clean as I'd like. Chunks of food on the floor. The tables were sticky with an unknown substance (like dried jam). The staff never seemed available at the front desk like most hotels.

staff at breakfast did not stay around to keep coffee pot filled, food was slim and poorly presented. property had not been kept up, yard over grown with weeds and trash. Cigarette butts all arou nd entry. Room was in need of vacuuming and dusting. Refrig. did not have control to regulate temp.

The beds were comfortable and I liked the pillows. Often hotel pillows are too thick, these were just right. The breakfast is minimal, but sufficient.

The hotel overall could be cleaner.

Convenient location

Bathroom shower curtain was mildewed, down comforter had stains, not dusted At checkin clerk gave rules about police being called and jumping out windows. This set a negative tone. Also smell of marijuana in hallway and my room was right beside elevator.
