Everything. Our stay at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, an IHG Hotel, was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the entire experience.
The rooms are incredibly comfortable, with plush bedding and stylish decor that create a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax and feel at home.
The dining experience was also a highlight. The restaurant offers a fantastic menu with delicious options that cater to a variety of tastes. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance made each meal feel special.
The hotel's amenities are equally impressive. The gym is well-equipped with modern machines and weights, making it easy to stick to your fitness routine. Our room had a view of mostly the air conditioning unit. If the hotel isn't full I don't think you should put people in that room.
The water control for the shower is in an unfortunate position.

Absolutely love this hotel! It is our second stay and so happy we stayed here again with our soccer team. It was a great place for our boys to have to hangout during down time. They loved being in the rec room and playing chess. Housekeeping and the front desk was great. The gym is well equipped and the restaurant was great the 3 times we went!

An awesome building with lots of character and great amenities. The game room was awesome. The rooms a comfy, clean, and very nice. The hotel is perfectly located to enjoy the restaurants and nightlife of downtown Winston Salem.
Check your bill at checkout and then check again later. Our bill had a valet charge at checkout even though we didn't even have a car with us and didn't use the valet. And then a couple days later some mini bar charges showed up even though we did not touch the in room mini bar.

Such a nice hotel, loved the coffee & wine in the lobby. Great staff. I love that it’s walkable to so many downtown Winston hotspots. I will definitely come back!

The staff was friendly and able
to answer all questions. The complimentary wine and small plates were fantastic!
It smelled like marijuana intermittently in our room. Also, keys stopped working during our stay. The room service prices are incorrect on the TV just an FYI.

Arrived at our room (city view) and found a dead bug on the towels in the bathroom. While turning down the bed, the sheets where full of hard crumbs. Overall cleanliness was disgusting.
We were moved into a room at a lower floor (view into open office spaces and the cities jail) with the same lack of cleanliness.
Got up next morning and no warm water was available (was fixed just before lunch).
Will not stay there again, even if I would get paid for my time there.
