The Porter is neat, clean, and comfortable. Quite adequate for a one person, one-night stay in the springtime. The adjoining restaurant with entrance directly from the hotel provided great French food at surprisingly reasonable prices.
I had a "two twin beds" room, which was small yet impressively designed to make use of every square foot. The bathroom was probably no bigger than 6 ft x 6 ft. The walk-in shower had a door that opened INTO the shower, making it tough to get in and out. (I'm medium sized. It would be even more hassle for a large person). There was no closet space, and minimal drawer space.

Gaps under bedroom doors, too many staff sitting around at reception can be a bit intimidating if you want to speak about an issue

The location was good near the T line, shop and cafe nero which was convenient. Hotel was always clean and tidy. Beautiful area to the rear, would be fabulous if it was enclosed more for guests.
Staff checked me out on the last day after I told them I had to go back up less than 5 minutes previously for my suitcase.
I didn't like the major gap under the bottom of the room doors or the air heating/cooling system in the room... too extreme.

The hotel room was really cute and cozy, and the hotel was in a GREAT location! Price of a double room was incredibly reasonable by Boston standards.
Free parking would have been nice.

Friendly staff tried to help. Nice restaurant in the lobby.
Tiny beds. The standard room seems like a small boat cabin. Having two people in the room could be a fire hazard as both could not walk to the door at the same time. It's that small.

Noise from the road. No breakfast facilities. Air conditioning not working had to ask for it to be turned off as the fan was running continuously

pretty much everything about this property was great. The staff were fun and friendly. I liked this hotel and hope to return again
nothing. Only thing to note is the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast on-site but they recommend a great diner called Andy’s a couple of blocks away.

The hotel is exactly as described on the booking site. Fresh, clean, comfortable. the room was not too big, but as described. There was a microwave at the lobby, and a complimentary coffee was also nice.

Booked hotel on line and looked at the list of amenities. "Free Parking" but when I arrived I was informed of my parking options: Valet or on-street parking. Receptionist gave me a discount of 1/2 off the fee.

They charge your credit card without permission. 10$ have been taken and the hotel is claiming I left the car at velvet parking after 10am which led to the amount. This is not possible since I left 8.45 and handed in the car 9.45 at the airport. This is very dishonest behavior

The staff was excellent. Both individuals at the front desk and the valet staff were very kind and helpful.
Room was quite small and without a microwave or refrigerator, but I believe that was disclosed in the information and I had just forgotten.

This was a well-located hotel close to the red line train, where it was very easy to get to Harvard, MIT, and downtown Boston. The room was reasonably priced given costs in the area. The restaurant and bar was unexpectedly quite good. And the staff were very kind.
Nothing to complain about really. The rooms were pretty small, but that's the Boston area for you.
