Molly at reception was very nice and accommodating! Our room had a nice view of the private marina and the water and the room was clean!
The rooms are very dated and not attractive.

OMGOSH! The brunch was great. Truly farm to table as we were able to tour the gardens that we were going to be eating from. It's in a beautiful location and such a unique use of an old industrial plant. We both loved that it was a mix of old and new and a bit eclectic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. Bed was very comfortable and our room was of a pretty darn good size. This keeps prompting me to tell a little more and I could keep going just singing their praises. We live in state and we like to visit different locations for extended weekend getaways and this was one of the best ones we've had. If you ever get the chance to visit the Old Alcohol Plant and stay there, listen to your inner self and just do it.
The Wi-Fi could have been a bit more consistent, actually, a lot more consistent LOL. But if that's the only thing I can find to complain about, I think I'm good to go. Who needs wi-fi anyway when you want to relax and have a good time.

Would be better if they offered breakfast. In room coffee not very good.
no breakfast available, had to drive.

There was no breakfast. The view was great. Staff very helpful
Room was right over fans and was very noisy until I told staff who had the fans turned off. There were stairs up to the bed area and my partner is slightly disabled. We didn’t know about the layout in advance. We were right on the water but the dock was off limits to guests.

Very nice facility and staff.
The lobby smells a little funny, and it closes down at 8 pm.

Location
No breakfast at restaurant, mattress was really lumpy, toilet ran on carpet and stained cloth chairs yuck

Excellent location and great staff.
Outdated facilities, mattress was not comfortable.

Selected the hotel specifically because it had a restaurant and it was our anniversary. Extremely disappointed the restaurant was closed and nothing was open in the area. Had to eat at the local tavern. Very unhappy.
Would have been happy if the restaurant had been open.

everything was beautiful super cool and very luxurious I loved it for the most part!
the spa tub had hot water for the first 4 inches but turned ice cold, the shower was in a inconvenient spot and the shower nozzle was not attached all the way, the bathroom lights were out :/ other than that pretty decent

We got this room for the view, balcony and the jetted tub. You can't beat the view of the bay! It's also located in-between Port Townsend and Ft. Flagler, two of the places we wanted to visit.
Missing a curtain on the window that looks in at the jetted tub. I was quite annoyed! Many light bulbs were burnt out and it was VERY dim in the room. The coffee table and one of the chairs were so wobbly I thought they might break!

The view was amazing!
The room needed more lighting. Not all fixtures and outlets work. The decor needs to be updated.

Very reasonable rates. Large, comfortable room.
I couldn't figure out the temperature controls and it was a little cold.
There was no food service at all, and the hotel is a bit of a ways from any restaurants.

The property is by the bay and good view of marina. clean room. nice and friendly staff
dated furniture. need better decor. bed was not comfortable. over priced for what hotel offers. breakfast basket was indeed stale muffins and concentrated orange juice plastic bottle in a brown bag left in front of room

Location was great.
Did not like that the bed was in an enclosed area three steps above the rest of the room. Lighting was bad so it was hard to see where the steps were getting up during the night.

Overall it's a nice place. Off the beaten path and very quiet. The grounds could use a little clean up but it is fall. Lots of spider webs. The restaurant was understaffed but they were accepting applications. Staff is very friendly. We called for extra pillows but the girl at the desk forgot.
The bed. Not very comfortable. Bathroom could have been cleaned better. I guessing that housekeeping did not get to this room. The floor was gritty, there were peanuts in front of the couch and the linen did not smell or feel fresh.

Really nice, unique place to stay with great history. Awesome grounds and views. The staff - particularly Emily was fantastic, loved the Inn's farmstand, and will definitely come back.

room had a funny, musty smell. bed was very uncomfortable and had to use pillows from couch to block the mattress springs.

There are beautiful views from the hotel and the room was very comfortable. The evening meal that we had there was also nice. The ethos of the Old Alcohol Plant is very different from normal hotels as they help homeless people locally.
Lack of breakfast/accurate instructions re where to get breakfast. The information in the room identified venues to which you could drive but the locations and opening hours were wrong. The nearest venue on weekdays was permanently closed/up for sale when we got there. The next nearest breakfast restaurant was open at different times from those shown.
As other people have mentioned, it is a shame that you aren't allowed to walk down to the water from the hotel. There is also nowhere else to walk to.
It had been my intention to give the hotel a higher rating but I encountered a significant problem re the security deposit. It took 30 days for the 'hold' on my $200 security deposit to be fully released - despite repeated communications with the hotel and my bank. To be clear - there was no dispute re damage so the security deposit should have been completely returned immediately. My bank (a large US one) say that the problem arose because the transaction was not properly cancelled by the Old Alcohol Plant when I checked out. I can't be sure if it was an error by the hotel as they say that it was my bank's fault. However, I didn't encounter this problem at the other 4 hotels that I stayed in this August and communicating with the Old Alcohol Plant about this issue wasn't straightforward. They didn't respond quickly (or at all) to some messages. My rating of the hotel has therefore been affected by this disappointing experience.

The hotel was unique and charming with an interesting history. The surrounding area was beautiful and the hotel restaurant was terrific. The grounds had a sustainable little garden with herbs, produce, and edible flowers used by the restaurant (extra produce went to a little farm stand on the premises). The staff were very kind, knowledgeable about the facilities and the surrounding area.
At the time of our visit, there were large flies that occasionally made their way into the suite. Fortunately, they were slow and easy to catch/release.

Liker the bigger rooms, liked that it helps the community so much. Like that it was very quiet and peaceful. To make this the best it can be ket a coffee counter and a small international-style breakfast thing going on.
With so little around, I would have loved a Coffee Service or at least upgrade the coffee pots in the room to Kuirigs. No Breakfast or even a Basket as I read. They have so much lobby they could do a small table with a few things for breakfast. Also, the restaurant opens late no breakfast or lunch. It is not exhausted properly, so the hallways, lobby, and elevator smelled like too many ingredients and there is a lot of seafood and very few other items. Not for someone with Seafood Allergies. No smell in the room at all which was good. Also, surrounded by private property that is marked, do not enter. An EV Charger or two would be nice since it is so far out.

Views were great.
No access to the water/beach that you can see from your room. With access this rating goes way up.
4.5 / 5.0
The history of the building was fun, and character of the room was great.
The restaurant and bar closed way too early for a Saturday night.
The restaurant closed at 8pm and the bar closed at 9pm.
The food was good, but it would have been nice to at least hang out in the bar for a while. There are no other restaurants or bars in waking distance. Uber and Lyft don't work in the area.

The property and our suite were wonderful! The view from our top floor suite was AMAZING! The staff was great and made our 10 year old son feel like a celebrity. The food and staff at the restaurant were all wonderful too! I would DEFINITELY stay here again for our yearly family trip to the area!
