excellent hotel

couldn’t add nights when they were available. booking dot com was not helpful at all in modifying the reservation.

During off season, you pretty much have the place to yourself. Although a lot of the restaurants and stores are closed, my husband and I enjoyed how peaceful it was. We’ve never staying in the winter time but have visited north star and it gets pretty busy. Since winter season was over, we had no issues going in and out of North Star.

We did have a little bit of an issue checking into our room. One of the bathrooms was not cleaned and the main bed was not made all the way. There was also crumbs in the living room table and kitchen counter. We contacted the lobby and they had us transferred to the 5th floor with the same floor plan within a reasonable amount of time. (Plus!) They also extended our check out time which was wonderful! My husband and I were able to sleep in and we absolutely love their mattress!

very bare bones. no hooks to hang up coats, ski equipment, etc. no towel holders. not as advertised— said 2 king beds and 1 room with twin beds. no twin beds. it was a queen. not enough room in the ‘lockers’ to hold the skis and snowboards elevator was broken for several days of our trip. had to take the stairs with all our ski equipment. there is only one elevator(when it was working) for the building and it was a very long wait each time. we were called and notified about the elevator and we could not get our 83 year old father up. there was no offer of discount or compensation. nothing to make it right or correct the inconvenience it caused. staff was not helpful. would not tell us our room number in advance so that the grocery delivery service could get in. the is the first time that we have dealt with not being told the room. lastly— this is the most premium of buildings in the village. we have stayed in this building several times, but we did it feel that we received premium service and a premium room and a premium experience this time.

In that you had a great location you also had the noise of the slopes being maintained during the night.

We loved the unit we rented with the exception of very poor lighting. Our other disappointment was the closure of many restaurants in the Village. Perhaps due to COVID or being the summer season.
