The staff was friendly, that was really all I could say. They did the most with what they had.

I had a standard room and when I got there my heart sank. It was on the back of the motel section meaning I felt pretty exposed, the room was very worn, the sheets wrinkled beyond belief and sounds could be heard from adjoining rooms. It felt like a room that might be rented by the hour. I ended up turning around and going back to the reception to pay for an upgrade to the premium room. That was also a bit worn down but felt safer but the bathroom was definitely not cleaned properly. There were bits of lettuce on the floor and dirty shelves. In the morning I was awoken to a strong pot smell coming from the hallway. On top of that, the pool which was part of why I picked the property was closed, probably permanently.

Bad area, feels extremely unsafe. security guards at the gate of the driveway, hotel bar is full of local people. There was a car parked outside our room that looked like it had been there for a long time with the amount of dust on it, the car looked like it was stolen the whole front half of it was damaged. The person next to our room looked out of the window to see who we were, they came out of their room and were on the phone yelling and saying how he couldn’t wait to get on the drugs again. We instantly checked out of the accommodation after being there for less 10mins due to feeling extremely unsafe, still waiting for our deposit that was taken for any damages to the room and refund on the room. It has nearly been a month now. Do not book here.

I liked having a security guard at the gate-made me feel safer in an area of Oakland that isn’t considered safe.

The staff were very friendly. The accommodations in the tower room was nice, and it was very reasonably priced. We ate at the attached restaurant which was fine.
