Breakfast was excellent. Great country spot to get a way. Value was good.

Lona told us from the outset to make ourselves at home which was extremely easy. Sitting outside in the morning was very peaceful. Lona even took us up the hill to see the sunset one evening. I walked up to see the sunrise the next morning. The property is beautiful and the ridge was unexpected. This is a great place to just relax. Close enough to Nebraska City to visit Arbor Day Farm as well.

I was travelling across the country and it was the most interesting place I have stayed at and the most affordable one! The owner was really accomodating and flexible, as I was traveling for many miles every day, it was hard for me to plan to arrive early and Lona stayed up and waited for me regardless of my late arrival. She was extremely nice and baked delicious blueberry muffins in the mornig and offered me to have a hike at her property in the morning, leaving the detailed instructions for me, the hike was very nice and energised me for the whole day drive! Being a city person, I found it specifically exciting that this property was 5 miles away from the highway, accesible by the real country gravel road! This was truly a little advanture in itself! And I loved the old books with the photographs and history of the area in the living room.

This place is cozy and beautiful! You can tell great care is put into every detail. The bed was soft and I felt like I was visiting a friendly close relative.

The refrigerator needed cleaning, which I think says more about the conscientiousness of prior guests (since it’s a shared space) than it does about the owner. The owner is wonderful!

When I return to this area, I will definitely book here again! The host was very accommodating with my arrival time and left me a wonderful note explaining everything I needed to know.

I only wish I could've brewed coffee when I woke up!
