I went with a group of friends to do a train ride and we booked 2 rooms. The location was convenient. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The old building had character, yet the rooms felt modern enough and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend!

Our room didn't have a bathroom, but it was nearby, and even though it was in the hallway, there was still a bathroom designated for our room. So was not an issue at all.

I have not received a refund for my 2 night stay. When I arrived at the Inn I saw too many stairs. My partner was in a knee brace. The "owner" whom no one has met, offered a refund via text messaging. I accepted. A week later no communication from the "owner" about my refund. Why would I pay nearly $200 for nothing? Like I said, no communication from the "owner" who calls himself David. Has anyone actually met David? He was accommodating at check-in, and in collecting payment. He did not follow up with the refund that he suggested. I did not stay at the Inn.

There was bottles of water and coffee

The place wasn’t clean, no one on site to tell you where to go or room #. The room wasn’t ready for an hour after check-in. No wash cloths in bathroom, no offered wifi code because no one was there except 1 house keeper and we didn’t see her anymore after check in . No one to check you out so I videoed how we left room and left

Nothing.

When I made the reservation, I tried calling days prior to confirm a check-in time and the phone would ring, and ring, and ring, eventually giving me a busy tone. I also sent an email, no response there either. So I arrive, walk in where it says to do so, it reads “Cumberland Inn and Spa check in”. I proceed, and it takes me to an area where it looks like they’re remodeling, I walk a bit for a good few minutes and no one is in sight. I start yelling hello, nothing. Still calling the number listed as it says to do at the “entrance” nothing. Not only is this extremely unprofessional, but it is also not safe!! The door is always unlocked I’m assuming, anyone could be waiting in there looking for trouble.

Nice and clean.
