Tiny shower, but fine

A small haven that Jean filled with every possible amenity. it truly felt like a luxury stay, with robes and slippers, a welcome basket, beautiful lanai, flowers and a beautifully designed space. And that shower! Jean was incredibly thoughtful as well — my partner hit his toe on the bed and then realized it had been covered with foam. That’s just one small example. We would recommend anyone stay here. And if you love gardens, you’ll be wowed by the green thumb. beautiful plants, a water feature…basically an oasis.

The hostess was very responsive and friendly. The studio was well designed and comfortable and contained everything a guest might need. The garden was peaceful and exceptionally beautiful.

everything was just a notch above what you usually get. The welcome basket was huge and had pretty much a whole breakfast in it. Although the cottage is quite small, it is very thoughtfully designed to make the maximum use of space. All the furnishings were top rate and she has supplied just about anything you might need

The cottage was perfect for the two of us. We found it to be clean, comfortable and functional. Jean left a large basket for us with fruits, coffee, tea, rolls and snacks which was very much appreciated. The kitchenette was truly functional and well equipped and the bedding so comfy. Very close to Downtown Hilo and attractions. We would most definitely stay here again.

The property is beautiful and the location good but it was difficult for us to find even with instructions emailed to us by Jean. We had to make two telephone calls to Jean for directions before our arrival there.

Beautiful private backyard cottage with lanai overlooking private garden and koi pond. inside two ceiling fans and windows on all sides that let in cooling breeze on hotter days. Very comfortable queen size bed hidden behind TV and book shelf living room area, comfortable shower with good water pressure and hot water. The lovely owner met us with a welcome basket of coffee, orange juice, fruit, snacks and chocolate covered macadamia nuts. She also gave us some bottled water in the fridge. We also liked the private off street parking and quiet neighborhood as we had a rental car and expected to have to drive and park closer to the downtown. TV had Netflix and cable.

We found the bathroom, like most rentals, could use more toiletry room around the sink and a foldable suitcase stand or two for luggage in the living area, although it did have dresser drawers for clothes.

Our stay at Paradise Cottage was wonderful it was honestly like our own private slice of paradise. The cottage was adorable and was stocked with everything we could have ever needed and more. The owner went above and beyond to make our honeymoon so special and I can't thank her enough. 10 out of 10 recommend we will stay there again.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about our stay. The pictures don't do it justice it is better in person. I had never booked a private rental before and was nervous to do so for my honeymoon but everything worked out perfectly. If your going to stay in Hilo stay at Paradise Cottage you won't regret it.

The location was excellent for exploring the Hilo area. We arrived to a very nice welcome gift basket with fruit, coffee, and other local goodies. The cottage was cozy, and well stocked and appointed for two. Linens and facilities were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The kitchen was compact, but had everything needed for light, vacation-level cooking for two. The garden was beautiful (Jean obviously loves to garden), and attracts lots of birds. Our host was gracious and accomodating, even in the midst of attempting to resolve an unfortunate payment snafu (caused entirely by my error).

Anthurium Hale sits in the midst of a garden filled with Hawaiian delights: giant Hapu ferns, a koi pond with a little waterfall, flowering trees and bushes, and ti plants. Morning is filled with the sound of birds—delightful. The small cottage is lovingly and generously appointed with all you might need for your stay. Nothing is overlooked. We were impressed by the skilled craftsmanship evident throughout the cottage. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We have got a very warm welcome from Jane - with a basket with coffee , bread,fruits and other things .The appartment is very well equipt for cooking and relaxing and is located in a beautiful tropical garden.
