Magnifique petit coin de paradis insoupçonnable depuis la route. On est complètement déconnecté de l’extérieur. Petite plage privée avec kayaks, paddles, bouées, transats, hamacs, etc… . Tout est très bien pensé et fait avec goût. Les chambres sont toutes différentes et on aimerait les visiter toutes ! On sympathise rapidement avec nos voisins car c’est une petite structure. Personnel très agréable et discret. Un endroit vraiment à part.

Nous regrettons de ne pas être resté plus longtemps…

Nothing to do with the resort by travelers should come prepared: mosquitoes are always there because of the climate snd vegetation, bring appropriate clothing and insect repellent.

Everything was A+ …… the shower would not drain but you had it fix very quickly….. but like they say “shit happens” 🤣

I echo what the vast majority of positive reviewers have said about Island Bay Resort. This is a really well run, well maintained, and attractive location. It has its own private sandy beach, nice comfortable porch decks on each unit, facilities (such as washers, dryers, outdoor showers) to help out with all your needs, Easy access to nearby restaurants. We would most definitely book a stay here again next time in the Keys, and would certainly recommend it highly to anyone thinking of staying here.

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at this over-priced and unfriendly “resort”. Firstly, it is not a resort, it is a selection of tiny cottages, chargeable laundry facilities and some sun loungers and hammocks. Secondly, the hotel states it doesn’t allow children. However, they had no issues with children running around during the night and during the day from a nearby villa. Additionally, on our arrival we asked if we could have a late check out as our flight was at 9pm. We were told yes that’s no problem as they had no bookings for our cottage until the day after we were leaving. However, the most unfriendly and unhelpful member of staff told us at 12.50pm we had to vacate the cottage by 1pm as they had taken a booking. Had we been made aware we could have planned our day differently, but to be given 10 minutes notice to leave was totally unacceptable. The staff member had no interest in our well-being, only in their own profiteering. Would I recommend this hotel? Certainly not, there’s much nicer resorts in the area with more amicable staff who are interested in making sure your holiday is a pleasant one. One final point, there’s nobody on-site after 6pm and they don’t respond to any emails if you require assistance, just like we did when there were lizards in the room which additionally has an unbearable eggy smell.

Island Bay is absolutely gorgeous! No detail has been missed. As you walk down to the water’s edge you will see so many surprises. Perfectly placed shells beside one of the hammocks or a driftwood sculpture along the way. I stayed in the Bridges suite. It was spotlessly clean, modern and fabulous. There were hibiscus blooms tucked into the beach towels placed on the bed!

Beautiful little cottages, facilities very clean and in fantastic shape. Nice private beach and plenty of things to do, kayaks, peddle boats, paddle boards, etc.

Island Bay was really great. 2 things. I know it's Florida and roaches are a thing. Found one big enough for a saddle, I quietly discarded it before wife saw. Second, no change at the front office for laundry machines. They do have a bill change machine in the laundry room which is convenient. I needed a couple quarters to finish laundry and had to cross A1A by foot to the gas station. ( I only had change from my car cup holder as I don't carry cash.) A little inconvenient but overall this is a beautiful place. Brand new bbq grills for what looked like every room. Grounds meticulously kept and pristine. Hammocks, lounge chairs, kayaks, paddle boards and boats all free to use. I enjoyed snorkeling under the dock. Some broken cinder blocks made a great little reef with all kinds of fish. I will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone looking for a post card view, comfortable amenities and friendly hosts and staff. Would have given a perfect score if not for the roach.. Otherwise, chefs kiss!
