The location of the castle is beautiful, calm, classy...what you may expect of a castle. Excellent communication with Emmanuelle regarding our late arrival, meals, breakfast etc. The inside of the castle is comfortable, beautiful, cosy... Excellent continental breakfast.

The Chateau is a lovely place, full of charme. The room was spacious and comfortable, albeit a bit cold. Staff was welcoming and professional. The shared spaces are great too. Would definitely come back, perhaps on a warmer month

The chateau is very charming, and the surroundings are lovely with woods and a small pond. It was a pleasant stay in the country and you need to like being away from city traffic and noises. There is a billiard room, a large fireplace in a dining room, and both were great for entertaining ourselves. I asked for wine glasses so we could drink some wine we purchased from a shop in Dinan and they provided that. We booked the room as it was near where would be interested in visiting and still be away from it all. There are no neon signs lighting the way or street lamps, so be sure you are comfortable driving in the country to find it at night.
The internet service is very spotty. It is an old stone building and even the best wi-fi routers cannot work around that. The room needed a space heater and one was left outside the room in the corridor for us. As we were the only people there, I think the breakfast provided was a little different from what I read in reviews. Pancakes look like they came out from a package. It was typical French breakfast of bread, cheese, butter. The jams provided were in little single serve containers. We are not fussy and it served its purpose. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Outstanding building, with some wonderful features, and helpful staff. Rooms are cheaply furnished and fairly basic.
The website shows plenty of images of wonderful looking food dishes. Not being a French speaker, I assumed there was a restaurant - only to find out that I had arrived at a lovely chateau in the middle of no where with no evening meal available. After a 250 mile motorbike trip this was extremely disappointing, and the last thing I needed was to ride out again in search of dinner. It was suggested that I could eat in Dinan, but if I had wanted to eat in Dinan, I would have also used a hotel in Dinan.

Its a great place, sad we were there when days got shorter and nights longer. Quite, peaceful. Very friendly people. Not suitable for wonabies.

Emmanuel let was welcoming and helpful for us English speakers. The manor was authentic old chateau. Huge rooms. Fun to wander around. Rooms could use some updating but enjoyed our stay!

Nice grounds and location, welcoming friendly host, free wifi, comfortable bed, large room. First night very quiet.
No coffee, tea, mini bar in the room, bar or restaurant on site, all as advertised on the Booking.com web site. After travelling all day we did not want to go out looking for a restaurant so settled for the, do it yourself, microwave meal that was offered. Breakfast was very basic. Bathroom sink is cracked, floor tiles loose. No hot water on the last night and morning so cold showers. Last night very noisy guests - shouting, loud music, cigarette smoke coming into the room and no staff on duty to police it. Only a two night stay and sorry to say would not have stayed for a third.

Emmaneulle was so lovely and wonderful! All the little touches were unexpected and fantastic. Welcoming cider, drinks waiting for us when we got home, the nicest pool table I've ever used. Wish we'd stayed longer!
There was nothing we didn't like. :)

It’s a castle: smels like a castle, sounds like a castle (floors), feels like a castle. Quiet and peacefull place with an amazing garden. It is not for the people looking for a modern place to stay, but for those seeking a magical place. We loved the stay!
Breakfast could have been a little more consistent, but the croissants where delicious.

Idyllic away from it all location outside a small village, with gorgeous lake views and wonderful public rooms. Nice breakfast, and friendly proprietor. Swimming pool is unheated and quite small but lovely on a warm day. A really, really nice place to get away from it all.
Wi-Fi was too weak to work properly most of the time. You have to drive to eat, as there is no restaurant either in the hotel or in the nearby village. Dinan is not far and has many restaurants. Toiletries are almost non-existent so bring soap and shampoo. No TV in the room but this did not matter to us.
