Peaceful place, close to Diamond Beach, on the Ring Road. Kitchen facility was good, shared toilet and shower. Ok to spend one night.

Very small room, only one socket where to put all your gadges... Only two toilet/showers which many rooms use, usually at the same time. Toilet floors were wet and dirty after many users, as you can imagine. A bit too expensive in my opinion.

Great kitchen. Wish we would have brought stuff for breakfast, as well as, dinner. Clean and comfortable.

With everyone arriving late, we ran out of hot water. No shower.

It looked like the bare minimum was done to accept guests. the bedroom was simple and clean but no pictures on the walls or practical features like towel racks or enough drying hooks etc to hang wet clothes etc. Bathrooms not finished/shower not in good shape and in same room as a storeroom with junk piled up. In the living area old chairs stacked in corner and pots either burned or without lids. it wouldn’t take a lot to make it at least look like someone was making an effort.

that you have to go and collect the information about the keys in other location. around 3 km away. also, it is no groceries shops or gas stations arounds - I recommend to have this in mind

We loved the waterfall behind the cottages. The views were spectacular with the glacier and ocean out the front.

We had trouble finding the specific guesthouse because we were late getting in. The houses and drives weren’t very clearly marked.

Great location close to diamond beach. Decor and fittings are aged but all work adequately. Well equipped kitchen.

Little bit on the tired side

The space was huge with the whole cottage to ourselves, and a very very warm heater and hot water. We only had 3 people, but I think the cottage was capable of up to 8 beds or maybe more, which is a valuable place.

The check-in instructions were not sent to us prior to our arrival, and we had trouble contacting the staff as the location provided on booking.com of this place is NOT where the staff were. We were driving around the place and couldn't find the right place. We actually saw a piece of paper directing us to a different place saying " private property, not the hotel", so I guess many people staying at this place got lost a lot, not just us. We had to borrow a local phone to call their staff, which was not friendly for international travelers who cannot call with their phones. After we called, they sent the check-in instruction to our email, including the map to locate our cottage and the password to obtain the key, and it was very late at night. I hope they could have sent us the email sooner, or tell us the correct check-in office to meet up with the staff.

This is the best accommodation in our trip to Iceland this time. We all really like it. Everything was great! Some bulbs were not working, but they came over to check immediately and explained that there was some shortage which was totally understandable.

We were told to pick up key in a different location and turns out to be just a code so could have send us via the message, might be more efficient for both side.

we liked the proximity to see the glacier for our ice cave tour.

The hosts were kind. The house is comfortable and nice.

Location was great.

Tv didn't work, heater was broken and hanging off the wall. It seemed a bit worn / tired. The couch was old and dirty and covered in hair.

The place is located in a quite area (although everything is quite around there) very close to the glacier and to jokulsarlon, making it a great spot from which to visit the main landmarks and hike. Rooms where small but comfortable, and the common area with the shared kitchen was usefull as well as cozy.

The doors of the rooms where incredibly loud, so you would clearly hear every time someone would leave their room (which would happen relatively often considering that there were shared bathrooms). When we arrived we had to pick up the instructions to get the keys from another guesthouse which was only 3km away but still, it was a bit annoying considering we hadn't been told about it, it was late and we had been driving for hours.

I booked double room and I got twin room. Not enough hangers.
