The price, it was low cost. Comfortable bed.

Run down property and surrounds. Shared balcony and fridge (which was out on the balcony), is not ideal. Noisy at times as shared space utilised by neighbours who smoked so much that it kept wafting into my room.

There was a large group of banana pickers staying at the property who made an incredible noise till 2 o’clock in the morning.

Nothing to like about the place. Very unwelcoming place - doesn't look like an Aussie holiday place The beddings look like they had bed bugs and very dirty. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Everything about the room and place. The room and beddings were Stinky and smelly, like not washed and changed.

We let them know we were checking in at 7pm, when we arrived, no one was there to check us in. There was a phone number but it wouldn’t connect through We spoke to various people who also tried to phone and didn’t work. Luckily someone noticed there was an empty room and a key so we just slept in there. The guy on site the next morning said he was out for dinner.. it is advertised as a hostel but there are just workers living there. There are signs for bus shuttles but the owner said it was old. It was over a hour to walk to the beach and no public transport

Scotty was so helpful and accommodating - he was able to help with dinner suggestions, transport and where the closest supermarket was and made sure we had everything we needed. Amenities were great and we had a kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave and cutlery/plates. The bedroom was very tidy and clean, as was the bathroom. Scottys was right by the beautiful beach. Great value for money!

Though close to the beach, the closest restaurant and/or shop is roughly 25mins walk. If you’d like to visit the main mission beach area then you can get a taxi for around $20 which is under 10 mins. Recommend a car here.

We liked our room, it was clean, the bathroom was definitely the best part of the room, it was modern and the shower was really nice.

Firstly, their was not traveller atmosphere, the majority of the property was occupied by workers (mainly male) and as mentioned my the owner a dry camp. The lack of traveller atmosphere made the atmosphere unwelcoming. The workers dominated the common areas. As two female travellers it would of been nice to be made aware of this as we felt slightly unsafe just due to the general lack of traveller atmosphere and being placed within a dry canon. Secondly the kitchen although it was spacious and a nice area, it was left dirty, with lots of flies and food in the sink from the workers. The kitchen was left in this after the cleaning it had been apparently been clean.
