I booked this room for my friend and he really enjoyed the stay compared to me who stayed at the Crown.

Being an old building it's a little quirky, creaky but don't let that put you off.

The place is very pretty and quiet yet so close to the town. Perfect location, pretty setting and lovely staff.
The room was beautiful however the mattress wasn't for us, maybe fine for most but I suffer with a bad back and it wasn't firm or deep enough, was quite achey in the morning. Its just personal preference that's all. The bar wasn't open much so we had to go into town, which isn't far but that's the only down side.

Hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner though close to the center of Stone (5 min walk) and very convenient. it’s family run and hosts were very welcoming. We stayed on the hottest day of 2022 and fan was provided for the room. breakfast was excellent.

The Breakfast was perfect and plenty of it - We ate in the restaurant both nights and if you like Tapas, Paella, or Steak you will love their menu - we could not fault anything - great choice, service, and value.
There is a short walk into Stone ideal for walks along the Canal

Everything was done on the cheap. Inferior Bran Flakes. No choice of yogurts..again the cheapest priduct

Toilet seat broken as lid kept hitting you in back as you sat on toilet.
Tv not functioning at all so no TV
cobwebs hanging in bathroom corner.
Heating not on in our room until after we returned from dinner 10pm.

The Mill itself was lovely, full of character. The staff were very welcoming and willing to help make the stay as satisfactory as possible. The restaurant was atmospheric with the old mill machinery in evidence. The food was tasty and good value, served cheerfully and efficiently. The breakfast was, again, tasty, served with keen energy.

The shower dispenser fell off the wall in the shower. Fluctuating Temperature and etremely poor flow. Toilet lid would not stay up. The wooden floor in bedroom not particulary clean.
