It didn’t matter but the room/upstairs of the hotel was a little dated in its decor (in contrast to the reception and bar area).

Lovely room with sea view. Excellent breakfast. Julian and all the staff. The food and staff at the restaurant. We ate there for two nights they were so friendly and kind (especially Faiti) The location of the hotel and restaurant was just fabulous. Excellent value for money

Great spot at end of Isle de Re! Room had beautiful view of the water right across the street. Big room. Comfortable. Quiet. Pool, sauna, jacuzzi. Good restaurant. Very helpful staff who spoke English beautifully (especially nice to find so far outside Paris). Stayed extra day because it was so pleasant and relaxing. Picture is from window at low tide which is dramatically different from high tide.

If you are used to Swedish or Asian massage you will be surprised at the light touch of the masseuse, even after repeated requests for stronger massage. Pleasant, but may not be what you are expecting.

Their breakfast buffet was very good, fresh croissants and breads, charcuterie, yogurts and cereals. They offered AC in the rooms.

Several things in the bathroom need a little attention, mostly the fixtures. But the bathrooms are clean and updated.

We have enjoyed our stay at Hôtel de la Marée, the room was cozy and very comfortable, we had plenty of sun in the morning on the common terrace outside the breakfast area. The staff was always extremely helpful to address our questions and we even dined in the hotel restaurant one evening and enjoyed the serving and food selection. Excellent choice for a stay in low season on Île de Ré, as you have all the amnesties you need!

Warm welcome at the reception. The service is nice. The restaurant is super, I had one of the best 'pain perdu'.

Very large and spotlessly clean family room, with a separate room/area for the children that had bunk beds and its own storage. We loved the pool and jacuzzi, and the seating area around them. Despite facing a road (and the seafront on the other side of the road) we heard no outside noise as the room was so well soundproofed. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome, going out of their way to help us when my husband lost his jacket. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. If eating in the restaurant at dinner, there was a choice of three fixed price menus (mainly seafood, which we loved) plus a children's menu that you could mix and match from - all the food was of an excellent quality and service was great. Children were charged half price for breakfast which, at 7 Euros, was great value. Parking is within a couple of minutes walk, with a locked secure car park and good value at 10 Euros per day. We will definitely stay here again :)

Am sure it would not have been an issue in summer, but there were a limited range of places to eat in Rivedoux-Plage that were within walking distance. Can't think of anything to improve in the hotel itself.

I eat very little at breakfast time but there didn’t seem to be an option to pay only for coffee and fruit.

We loved the room with a little balcony overlooking the sea and the bridge. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom inviting. Breakfast was amazing, buffet style with a great range of tasty food.

Perhaps more informative instructions on parking.

Pool was great. Room and bathroom nice. Nice balcony. Beer and wine prices were reasonable.

Curtains broken and wouldnt close. Toilet seat cracked. No plug in the bath so unable to use. No room service. Air conditioning not very effective. Not enough tea and coffee. No milk. Had to buy our own.

All staff and management were very welcoming and helpful. The location was excellent and the room was clean an comfortable. In addition, the food and drink were thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel enabling discount on bike hire was also very welcome. Thank you.
