We were given a warm welcome by 'Yesw' the owner, who could not do enough for us during our stay. She even got up at 5am to see us off when we left. The buffet breakfast was both fabulous in quantity and quality. Everything about Norbu House Hotel has a strong influence of Tibet. Our room was spacious and the extras included were 5 star standard. The views from the open walkway outside our room were to die for. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay and will definitely be back.

This hotel really exceeded our expectations. The rooms were lovely, clean and well stocked. In our whole stay this was the only hotel to provide complimentary welcome drinks and snacks. It was a great place to stay and great value for money - the location is perfect just outside of the main downtown. The staff were very wonderful and so helpful for anything we needed. Be careful of monkeys at breakfast though!

Nothing to criticise

The property is located with a beautiful outlook with each room having a room of the valley . the rooms were extremely neat and clean and the refreshments in the fridge were all complimentary which was a pleasant surprise.😀

the breakfast was splendid and we specifically enjoyed the Tibetan meal . The outside sitting arrangement with a beautiful view of the mountains was an added bonus.

More options in the breakfast menu. And all the service staff could be taught to speak in english as there are a lot of foreign guests staying in the property

The staff and management were extremely helpful in giving recommendations for the area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were given a room upgrade because a room with a better view was available!!!! We decided to extend our stay and they were able to accommodate us without having to change rooms. Breakfast was amazing and the views from the eating area are spectacular.

A small point but the waiting staff kept their hoodies up when serving and made quite a lot of noise watching things on their phone. They were lovely though!

The views from the balcony, service and breakfast buffet

This was without doubt one of the best stays we did in the last couple of years. The hotel is cozy, very well located and peaceful. From our balcony, we got to enjoy an incredible sunrise and sunset every day, with a view on the mountains overseeing the whole valley. A place where it is very easy to meditate, read a book, or just to spend a moment with your own thoughts. Mr Tenzin and all the staff were very caring and helpful. They helped us with logistics (big thank you also to our driver Shami), gave plenty recommendations on interesting points to visit, hikes and trails. The hotel offers amazing breakfast, with a great selection of continental and Indian cuisine. We felt better than at home and would love to return here.

This beautifully decorated hotel is situated close to the temple and main streets but is in a very quiet location. The view is fantastic. The room was warm and very clean with good, hot showers. And the breakfast which was included in the Tarif was abundant. The staff are extremely helpful particularly Tenzin in reception - nothing was too much trouble. He helped organise taxis, airport transfers as well as a couple of sightseeing trips with Sonu, a local guide from Tours by Native who was very professional - also highly recommended. A great place to stay!

Approach to the Entrance gate

The location of Norbu House is ideal and the views are exceptional ~ just absolutely beautiful. Couldn’t be better 💖 The breakfast is basic but charming. Staff just can’t do enough for you and couldn’t be kinder, more willing or more humble ~ they’re an absolute Joy. Simply the most wonderful little place ~ and in ALL my years of travelling around the world, THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED EVER!!

The floor in bedroom could be lethal. it’s fantastically shiny & a tiny drop of water could make it interesting if you become unbalanced. Two additional pieces of rug. One by bathroom especially would make it safe. Have similar tiles in my own bathroom. just minor issue
