Le wifi capricieux

Wir waren sehr glücklich mit unserem Aufenthalt im VLFB-Hotel. Insbesondere die super Lage und das schöne Zimmer. Auch das Frühstück war top! Ich hätte mich über etwas Gemüse noch gefreut, aber das ist eine Kleinigkeit.

Zwei Kleiderhaken im Zimmer und einer im Bad wäre von Vorteil gewesen

Dank Upgrade hatten wir ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Seesicht. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut

Empfang war nicht nur freundlich sondern man hat gespürt, dass die Menschen vom Personal Freude an der Arbeit für die Gäste und das Hotel haben. Frühstück und Service ebenso sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Eine Nachbestellung z.B. noch einen Cappucino, auch kurz nach 10 Uhr wurde freundlichst serviert.

Zeitweise hat ein "Lüfter oder Motor" oberhalb des Zimmers auch in der Nacht etwas störende Geräusche gemacht. Kann auch sein, dass das von einem Gast stammt, war nicht klar zu orten.

Feines Frühstück, Sitzplatz mit Blick auf See. Herzlicher Empfang. Upgrade! Lage zur Altstadt. Sauberkeit. Moderne Einrichtung. Unkomplizierte Verlängerung des Parkhauszuganges mit Badge-Rückgabe am Nachmittag. Freundlicher Stuff. Angenehme Atmosphäre ohne laute Musikberieselung beim Essen.

Internet funktionierte im Hotelareal nicht überall gleich gut, jedoch für mich unbedeutend.

Das Hotel ist schlecht zu finden! Wir kennen Ascona gut und wohnen seit Jahren im Riposo. Rezeption und Eingang schwer zu finden. Schlecht angeschrieben!!! ging anderen auch so hörten wir beim Frühstück. Im Seven stranden oft Gäste die das Hotel suchen. Wir haben uns ausserdem gefragt, WO in diesem Hotel eine Adresse für ein evt. Problem (med.?) zu finden wäre. Als Ex Hoteliers und Gastronomen denken wir, dass das "Pflicht" wäre in der Schweiz. Kompliment für Ihre Zimmer Ladies!

Von Sa auf So war n achts bis 3 Uhr viel Lärm auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite. Bar? Geschirr und Gläser Geklapper bei offenem Fenster. Bei höflicher Bemerkung an der Rezeption, reagierte der Herr in Charge, unbeteiligt und völlig desinteressiert. Schade. Es bitzli Empathie könnte nicht schaden :

Het ontbijt wordt in een ander pand vlakbij geserveerd. Dit vinden wij geen probleem. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd. De dame bij het inchecken was zo positief, aardig en heeft ons goed geholpen. De kamer was zeer mooi ingericht met prachtig uitzicht. Ook fijn dat er koffie- en theefaciliteiten zijn!

De badkamer ziet er heel nieuw uit (heerlijke douche). Het wastafelmeubeltje was echter heel erg klein...

Great location - good breakfast - friendly staff (more bellow)

Our room was located in a small street behind the Piazza Motta (seafront). Was a bit noisy due to partying people and bars around. Size of the room (bit small but ok for one night) and the fact that parking is not right around (Migros, 550m) the building.

Buffet breakfast is good though somewhat expensive. No vegetables were included in the buffet but were served upon request.

The building we stayed in was partly under construction, and noisy during the day as a result. Not a question of dislike, but driving to the hotel is via a pedestrian area, and parking is at a distance requiring about seven minutes walk.

Having balcony overlooking lake was magical. Well setup comfortable room. Bathroom small but perfectly formed. Parking garage arrangement very efficient. Possibility of driving onto pedestrian street to unload very helpful. Didn’t take breakfast, generally bought coffee and pastry from open terrace cafes. Recommend this location

What a location! Our first time to Ascona and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The team are great and extremely helpful. There are a couple of parts to the hotel, the actual seafront part and the part we stayed in, which is set just behind, so no view of the lake, however the rooms are new, fresh and clean. The breakfast buffet is served in the front part of the hotel and everything was well presented and delicious. Although in a restricted area, pick-up and drop-off by car is allowed and parking is available nearby. The public car park at the end of the pedestrian area has no height restriction (useful for campers and roof boxes) and EV charging points. 20€ covered parking for the night.

We had a great stay, we couldn't have hoped for better.

We had a late check-in and the reception was so kind to leave the key in the keybox. When we arrived at the hotel at 1am our keys were not working so we could not enter the room :( had to wait outside in the middle of the night until the emergency contact arrived. The next morning we discovered ants everywhere!!!! In the bed, on my toothbrush, in the bathroom… We were given another room (apparently an upgrade because of the lake view) which reminded me of an old hostel: Very run down, small bed, old bathroom.. the standard was very low compared to what we booked… very disappointing experience Good thing: Staff did their best and location is great.

The room and furniture were newly renovated and exceptionally clean, staff was hospitable. The location is perfect! You just need to remember for the first time visiting that reception and the entrance are from different sides of the building.
