Wir hatten also kein Netz.

Fijne stoelen.

Perfect! I want live on this house!!!

We really enjoyed our stay in this cave house. There were only two of us and we had a choice of 3 very nicely decorated bedrooms, each going further back into the cave! Little kitchen/lounge to cook and relax in and a lovely big bathroom. All very clean, and overall a really fun and good value place to stay. Friendly host who met us at the reception address when we phoned, and took us to our house - a good idea as the reception address is much easier to find. He told us a nice walk nearby where we could climb up a small hill to get a lovely view of the city at sunset - which we did, and it was beautiful.
We liked everything, but thought it was best for a short stay just to experience a cave house, as the kitchen and lounge space is quite small (it is more of a kitchenette than a kitchen so OK for cooking but there is not much space).

Great central location in the cave district of Guadix, and very close to the cave museum plus a bar and shop.

wonderful to sleep in a cave :)

Very cosy and clean, with a nice bedroom carved in the stone, a well equipped kitchen, very quiet and silent, and in a very good position for visiting the Barrio de Cuevas. Highly recommended for those who like quiet and relax, very nice also for a family with children. The ownwer is very friendly and kind. Do not miss visiting the beautiful cueva-museum El Jaraiz!
Everything was very good!

Certainly a unique experience.
There is a washing machine but no washing product (power/liquid/capsules). We are trekking through Andalucía and it's always great to be able to wash your clothes.
The Wi-Fi is very weak and unreliable, which is unpleasant, because naturally there is no cell reception in the cave.
The place wasn't very clean and there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom.
The shower is very small for the size of the bathroom.

The layout of the property meant that there was little privacy for the three occupants. Two of them decided to stay in a nearby hotel for their second night.

Having always wanted to stay in a cave house, this certainly did not disappoint.
Being exceptionally hot on our day of arrival the cool temperature of the bedrooms was a real delight.
This cave house has everything you need for a family to fully enjoy a holiday.
Great little patio outside with table, chairs and its own BBQ
Sadly we were only there for one night, but would not hesitate to stay again.
We had no problem with the property itself, the only annoyance was the very persistent flies in the area, but that is obviously out of the owners control.

The cave house was marvellous and fully met my expectations. A friend had stayed there previously so I did know that it was going to be good. It is in a great location about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Guadix. The owner was helpful and friendly. The cave was spotless and was well equiped although as we were only there for one night we didn't do any cooking. The shower was hot and powerful. The beds were clean and very comfortable. I would not hesitate this place and I would definitely stay there again.
The only downside was the lack of parking spaces. There was some parking indicated but this just seemed to be for coaches. I did park on the street and it is a quiet area but the council should draw up sxome proper parking spaces for people who are staying in the area and clearly mark is as car parking.

Very comfortable accommodation hosted by friendly people in an impressive location. We loved it <3

It is an experience to stay in a cave, the area is quite peaceful. The owner is very attentive.
Restaurants are a bit out of the way, but you do have full kitchen. Not really a problem if you have a car.

Large, very spacious, with several rooms, all carved out in the rock. Completely furnished and comfortable.
If you get claustrophobic, there is a nice space to seat outside at front of the door.
Located in the "cave" part of Guadix, in a very interesting area, maybe 20-30 minutes walk to the centre.
The air was a bit damp - not surprising in a cave!
5.0
location- Area of the cave houses & museum, 20 min walk to centre.
Bedrooms were fine & I slept well.
Difficulty contacting the property owner, didn’t answer 1st call, then when I arrived they kept me waiting in the street, in the cold, for 40 minutes because they were eating lunch!!
The kitchen area was dirty, fridge dirty, old coffee left in machine, food bits in sink drain.. & to top it off a cockroach in the bathroom, this didn’t bother me as it is a cave house!! but the kitchen did, esp in Covid times!! 1 night was enough. It’s had good reviews in the past but it’s obvious that someone has lost interest in the business, shame.

It was spacious and the beds were quite comfortable. The owner was friendly.
It was cold, the two heaters provided were definitely not enough (we tried to sleep in rooms close to each other) and one of them actually did not work. As we travelled with kids ages 11 months, 4y and 8y, it is difficult with cold, but in summer I am sure, this is a great benefit as the caves offer nice shelter!
The overall cleanness was so-so, as it was dusty under the beds, the bin had not been emptied after the previous guests (it can happen, but there were no empty bags, luckily we had one ourselves) and there was no sponge to wash the dishes, luckily there was hot water, so we could still clean them. Only one pot, so it would be difficult to stay there more nights with a large company (as there was room for approx 8 people). But it is still nice cave for 8 people if you want to stay in the same apt.
It would have helped if the owners would actually check the Booking inboxes and answer questions (we wrote in bad Spanish, but got an answer 2 days after we left, which was just "ok", so not answering to the question). Also it would be nice to know in advance that the apt is a bit further away and you have to do the check in in the bar, luckily some locals helped us with that (we looked for a parking space, gathered all our kids and things, walked to the bar to do check in to get to know that we can go back to the car and drive to the next location, nothing major, but just annoying with 3 kids :))
As we stayed at the big apt, it is located a bit away from the other caves, meaning the bar and the museum are both a bit away, but at totally walkable distance, since the area is small.

Spacious and fully equipped. Nice and quiet location.
We were supposed to stay in a cave, but they gave us another place to stay that wasn't a cave with the excuse that the bathroom of the cave had a problem. The thing is that the caves had people already so maybe it was a lie.
The cleaning was very poor and many things were super dirty, especially in the kitchen.

Spaceous cave (living room with kitchen and bedroom), very friendly owner, parking of my motorcycle next to the cave (gated yard with a roof against the rain), viewpoint just next to cave. Spaceous bathroom. Good value
Electrical heater in the living room quite noisy but lacking of power - may think about another one.

It was a completely different experience staying in a cave house. Totally recommended!.
We slept so well it was a surreal but enjoyable stay.
The house was very clean and had all the amenties for a good stay.
Juan was on hand for any questions. His bar & restaurant are practically next door so we were able to have a superb lunch there.
Guadix is a facinating town, it is 20 minutes walk to the old centre. We visited the cave houses in this village and they are stunning especially that some people still live there. The scenery and feeling of being so close to this community is special. Recommended.
I cant think of anything.
