We stayed 2nights in second week of April. Managed to catch northern lights right behind the chalet in Ounasvaaran Latukartta, a winter walking route which has a small mount. Big spacious chalet, semi-detached unit. Two full bathrooms, one upstairs and other the one down is with sauna. One bedroom down and one upstairs. Two more single beds in common area upstairs. Full equipped kitchen, washing machine (no dryer) and vacuum cleaner. 6 adults can stay comfortably.
Location is bit interior, no amenities nearby, except for one restaurant behind the chalet Better if you drive. Druve to Sampokeskus Shopping mall in 10mins.

The location was great. We were able to see the Northern Lights at night. There was also a fireplace.
They didn't have lighters to light the fireplace, so we had to go to the store to buy.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay...holidays unfortunately ended too soon. :)
We liked the location away from the city, becasue we had better chance to enjoy activities on snow (skiining, cross.country skiing,...)

We spent 4 nights in Ounasvaaran Lakituvat Chalets, a family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 13 and 10. The location is amazing, like being in a winter fairytale.
The cabin was specious, super clean, beds were super comfy and all that you might need for a self-catering holiday is there. There are many winter walking trails at your doorstep and it's only a 10 minute walk to climb a small hill from which you can view the lovely aurora. There are sledges available for kids as well. Check out is till 12pm which is great if you have a later flight.
I would highly recommend these lovely cabins!!!
We did experience a slight problem with the locking/unlocking of the front door.
We had to ring the reception as we struggled to get in on our first night, problem was solved quickly.

Everything about the accomodation was top notch. The location, the hotel 500m away, the ski slope 500m away, wonderful forest walks outside your door. Supermarket 900m away.
The only thing negative about our stay was that the underfloor heating kicked in after we lit the stove, the heat upstairs was nearly unbearable!! The second night we didn't light the stove and it was perfect throughout the chalet!!

Excellent position for the ski lovers. Lots of trails surrounding the chalets.
The sauna was ineffective, almost useless. No coffee, no oil, not enough sugar, everything seemed to be extremely economically. I would definitely think twice before booking this place for more than 4 people.

One room was cold all the time.
Couldn’t get any TV to watch. Was an old TV and CD or DVD player????!!!!
Kettle was dirty - couldn’t use it.
Beds very uncomfortable. The mattress was not supportive.

Incredibly cozy chalet in the middle
of the Lappish forest, in Ounasvaara, just a few minutes drive from Rovaniemi and the best attractions on the area.

The cottage was clean, spacy and very well-equipped. It really exceeded our expectations, especially compared to the price. The staff was friendly, the check-in and check-out process was straightforward, the parking space was right next to the cottage and the location of the house itself was excellent.
This became our favourite place to stay when visiting Rovaniemi :)

The fireplace was so enjoyable and kept the whole chalet warm and cosy.
There was unfortunately a party which happened opposite our chalet during our stay and since the chalets are relatively close to each other, it became loud very fast. The management made it extremely clear that it was forbidden to have parties, which was good. But we wished that this rule could have been more effectively enforced.

The house was comfortabele and well-equipped. Two bathrooms were nice, as was the sauna.
For me the beds were ok, but my husband had a back-ache because the beds were to soft for him.

Location was amazingly good, we had a lot of fun. Also the interiors were perfect for a group of friends and there was enough space with 2 floors. Also the sauna and fireplace experience was quite commendable as well

I stayed with my brother for three night in the chalet. It is located in the middle of the forest but only 12min away by car from the center of Rovaniemi. The chalet is beautiful and perfectly equipped for the cold days in Lapland. The fireplace and the sauna make the experience unique and cozy. The hosts at Safartica replied promptly to all our questions and check-in and check-out were very easy and accommodated to our needs (we were arriving very late and leaving very early). Overall an amazing and relaxed stay, and considering the prices of other hotels in the are, very reasonable.

Some appliances could have been better, like the TV (no hdmi cable, didn't read the usb either). Internet connection was weak.

We’ve had a wonderful experience and do not want to leave!! We already extended our stay a night rather than spend a night in Helsinki. We went out on a couple of day ans night adventures, but could have been just as content to stay at the chalet. The chalet was very welll equipped, the staff very friendly, and we enjoyed our northern lights excursion with safarica, even without having seen the lights.
Transportation is a bit complicated, but if you’re ready and plan well, it all works out. We didn’t want to pay the 20e for a taxi each way, so we relied on a bus (12e for a family of 4) that could only pick us up at 9am and drop us back off about 4pm (a perfect amount of time for an outing, but less convient to pop out for a few things. This but will get you into town, to the train station, as well as out to Santa’s Village. We planned a couple outings accordingly, ordered grocery delivery one day on Wolt (delivery app), and otherwise hung around the cabin and went sledding nearby.
