Location was perfect for the grotto, hotel and rooms were clean, and staff very accommodating.

Breakfast was expensive

The hotel offers a brilliant location to visit all the religious sites, literally not more than five minutes walking distance. The hotel is an old building that is well maintained and provides good car parking facilities.

Room was comfortable but small. We didn't opt for the €19 breakfast as this was too much food and too big a cost to opt for on a daily basis. More choice in this regard would be helpful.

I got the sense that the hotel staff are primed for getting customers to buy more, from the moment the guest enters the hotel. That may be a necessity but it could be done more professionally. Lourdes' traditional demographic is, essentially, dying out and the town would be well advised to understand that the people who opt to visit the area are more likely seasoned travellers who are not focused only on the religious aspect of what the area offers. The hotel didn't have any wheelchairs to hire and I was bascially left to my own devices to secure one for my mother. Luckily, I managed to hire one from another hotel, but only by chance. Without this wheelchair, my mother's stay in Lourdes would have been much less enjoyable.

- Location was great. Some receptionists were helpful, some were outright unhelpful. - Room was ok.

- Shower was very weak and poor - Room was not stocked, the cleaners did not replenish the coffee, milk pods. When we arrived from the sanctuary the 2nd day, the receptionist said that he cannot help and that we would have to wait until the next day to get the coffee and the milk. 2 days running we had to contact the reception for this service. Not acceptable at all from a hotel of this standard. The Booking said coffee and tea was available in the room. - The mens toilet near the restaurant was filthy. Again, this is totally unacceptable. - The lamp in the room did not work, it had a loose connection.

After 5pm all surrounding shops and restaurants are closed.

The location to the Grotto was excellent. Staff was helpful & multilingual. It is a beautiful property and they have parking for a fee but you can come and go as you please.

It is a really big hotel so the elevator system really needs to be explained by the staff which they did but it wasn’t so convenient when you have a lot of bags. The bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast was not appetizing to us at all.

the restaurant was a chaos, and decided not to have breakfast or dinner. on our previous stay the restaurant was what attracted us to this hotel

Location! Its very near to the sanctuary. They gave me the room that I asked for with a tub. The gentleman gave me an urgent attention when I needed an ice pack as I had an accident with one of the guests and injured my knee, he was really helpful in attending to me. The housekeepers are doing an excellent job in attending our needs and made the room spotlessly clean.

For a 4 star hotel, an option of having a bedroom slippers would be great. The hotel reception area needs a bit of an update, it looks tired for me.

Nice and beautiful place to stay.

Sofia at the front desk is a Super Star. Always very friendly and helpful. This hotel is close to the St Joseph Gate of the Sanctuary which is so convenient as I'm a hospitalier. I could see the Sanctuary from my room, thus watch the processions if I couldn't participate. Plus I sat on the balcony everyday to drink coffee, eat my lunch or dinner. The lounge and the bar areas are also comfortable. Caroline, bar manager, is also excellent and makes a great cup of coffee. I plan on staying here every year when I do my service.
