Host and location of the b&b was perfect

Great location, lovely host. Good value for money. Nice, chilled atmosphere. It was our first time in Reggio Calabria and the people really made it for us. Lovely, unstated and non-assuming people and the town is a real gem. Its got everything: history, sea and some of the best food we’ve ever tasted (and we travel a lot).

It was in a good place and the host was really helpful.

Parking is a bit of a problem. One can find free parking in the neighbouring streets but to pack out of the car at the appartment parking has to be payed. It is not a problem but there is no prkometer. Parking ticket has to be bought in a Tobacco shop or in a bar nearby.

The location is great, very close to the seaside, the cathedral and the castle. Free highspeed wifi and a fresh water dispenser. The room and the bathroom were spacious with a balcony on the street.

The check in happened at distance. It would have been nice to have met the owner or at least have received a bit more welcoming by phone. The doors frames were broken and from the air-conditioner water was leaking on the desk.

The lady was nice!

We arrived at the property and had to call the phone number, which we found on the internet. Once inside after a hassle, the showers didn’t work. We came after a long 12 hour journey and this was really tiresome for us. On top of that, the room itself was really dusty and smelled of smoke. At the time of checkout, card wasn’t accepted and we had to wait 30 minutes until someone came to accept our card. Overall, we wouldn’t stay again if we had the chance and definitely don’t recommend.

There was enough space for the four of us. The toilet was also spacious and clean.

The door is veeeery difficult to open. This makes us a bit tense every time we are coming back to the hotel. It seems like an easy thing to fix and that should be done in order for guests not to go thought the same suspense whenever trying to go inside. Also, the receptionist does not speak English, which could have been a big problem if we were not from Latin speaking countries.
