A propos de ce cottagerental
Self-Contained 17th Century Mill

Mill Cottage is full of character and very cosy. It is very well equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Carole and Ben are very friendly, welcoming hosts, and the welcome gifts were a lovely touch. Braunton is ideal for a holiday, with a range of shops and places to eat, and is very well situated for visiting the stunning local beaches and walks, and other attractions in this beautiful area. We really enjoyed our holiday and would not hesitate to return in the future. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay so much; the property was lovely and Carole was a brilliant host with just the right balance of friendliness and availability whilst leaving us to get on with our holiday. The cottage felt like home and was really comfortable with lots of little homely touches but not at all cluttered. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the furniture was comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. The WiFi and TV worked really well too. We were wary of the shower, having had so many poor ones at other properties, but even that was great. The little garden was an unexpected bonus. I would recommend to anyone else and I do hope we'll be back at some point in the future.

Spotless clean, Carole and Ben had really thought about the little things that make your stay away easier.

Fabulous Cottage
A wonderful little cottage., perfect position for everything we wanted to do. Carole and Ben were great hosts, greeted us on arrival and helped set up the BBQ when we struggled to connect the gas. They had left us a lovely welcome pack - including prosecco - which was really appreciated. There is a private garden to use as well which was great. Really clean and tidy, well finished and nice touches around the cottage too. The shower and water pressure were great. Plenty of storage and good size bedrooms. Would highly recommend this cottage and would definitely go back.
Thank you Carole and Ben for a lovely stay - hope to see you again soon.

Highly recommended
Lovely warm welcome from the hosts who showed us around and then left us to it, but also helped out when needed. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you need plus welcome extras (Prosecco and chocolates are a good touch after a four hour drive with a toddler!). Lovely garden area with barbecue too although the weather let us down a bit before we could make the most of this. The nicest holiday cottage we’ve stayed in, I think we’ll be back next year!

Ideal base for exploring North Devon
The cottage was ideal for our break in Devon - clean, comfortable, with very welcoming owners next door who could not have been more helpful. We had problems with a tap on our first day and it was immediately replaced for us. We were also kindly lent an extra body board to use at the beach. The location is a great base for getting to the beaches at Saunton and Croyde; the traffic could be a bit slow through Braunton as people went or returned from the beach but then it was peak season and lovely weather! We had a great stay and would be very happy to return.

Wonderful Cottage
Beautiful cottage, spacious and clean, with a lovely old mill attached to it. Carole was a great host, giving us some tips as to what to do when it was raining or there were no waves for our surging children. Would recommend this place.

Xmas In Devon
Spent Xmas week at Mill Cottage with my wife and our 2 little girls and had a lovely time. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner Carole, had kindly left us a Xmas basket of treats on our arrival which was a lovely gesture. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this property as a great place to spend Xmas or indeed any other time if the year!

Perfect house in a great location.
We loved this little house in a quiet location close to the town centre. It was perfect foe the two of us. We used the downstairs bedroom as a ‘boot room’ and then stayed in the comfy double on the top floor. The kitchen was very well equipped and the smart TV made for excellent rugby world cup viewing. We loved being able to walk to Braunton for dinner.
We were welcomed warmly by our hosts and thank them for a wonderful stay.

A North Devon jewel
We’ve just returned from a most relaxing weeks break at this delightful property- no doubt helped with six days of brilliant sunshine!
Upon arrival, owners, Carole/Ben were there to meet/greet and extend a very warm welcome to us and our pet dog Dylan.
This quaint looking cottage is immaculately presented, well equipped and most importantly spotlessly clean throughout. Many quirky features have been sympathetically retained during it’s renovation which adds character- not least the restored original Mill water wheel.
We enjoyed a few ‘sundowners’ sitting in the self contained lawned garden just outside the front door when we were able to let Dylan run freely around the safe/ secure garden.
Braunton village is a pleasant 5 / 10 min level walk away where there are plenty of shops/bars/ restaurants to suit all tastes.
We did a few of the many designated inland/ coastal path walks in the immediate area but the cottage also provides the ideal base to explore the many attractions/ resorts North Devon has to offer.
We adored our stay at Mill Cottage and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others thinking of renting a holiday property in that area.
(If Mill Cottage is not available, enquire about their new Piglet Cottage nearby)
From us - a big thank you to Carole and Ben.
Jacqui,Bev and of course Dylan. xxx

Beautiful Holiday in North Devon
From first contact with Carole, we’ve been really pleased with the information provided pre holiday and the prompt reply to all our queries.
Our two well behaved dogs were allowed to stay with us and Carole and Ben welcomed them as part of our family.
The cottage is very well appointed and felt like home, we especially enjoyed the use of the private garden to relax in on an evening. The king size bed was also extremely comfortable.
The cottage is ideally situated for restaurants, pubs, shops and cafes in Braunton, just 5 minute walk away and in a central location for visiting further afield be that the stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Saunton or the delightful villages of Appledore to the south and Lynmouth to the north.
While the cottage is an annex to the main house, with our private garden and drive for our car, it felt very self contained.
Carole and Ben were wonderful neighbours and hosts and were there if we needed anything and always happy to help with recommendations for places to eat and areas to visit.
We’ll certainly not think twice about rebooking at Mill Cottage the next time we visit the area.
