This is a beautiful apartment in a superb location. Wonderful restaurants, bars and the fantastic daily market are right on the doorstep. The sandy beach is 5 minutes meander along the promenade or through the park - both always seemed to have something fun going on (we visited in August). It's surprisingly easy to get there by train from Nantes, with the station 10 minutes walk away. The apartment is very well designed and was ideal for me, my wife and 14-year-old son. The furnishings were of a very high quality, and the sofa-bed was about the best I've seen - really did turn into a proper, comfortable double bed with thick mattress. The kitchen is very well equipped. Fancy shucking some Oysters from the market? They have the proper knives. Want to pick your crab's legs - they've got those tools too! The owners are natural hosts and did everything they could to welcome us (including baking a wonderful local tart!). We had one moment of excitement as we left (our fault) and they quickly provided a solution - even though it was 5:00am!! Very highly recommended all round.

The beach is very tidal so you need to be a few hours either side of high tide for a decent swim (downloading a tide time app is useful). However it's not really a negative as around low tide it's great for exploring the rock pools and having a paddle.
