Fornalutx is a really picturesque village in the Mallorcan mountains. The house is located in one of the nice cobble-stone staircase streets and you'll find many tourists taking pictures of the street every day. Free parking is available close to the property, a little bit up the hill, but be aware: Only the white-marked spaces are free. There are also some blue-marked places in the parking and those are paid during the day (machine is down the hill). The house has several rooms over three floors with a roof terrace that has sun (in December) until 16:00 approximately. Ideal for a glass of wine with a mountain view.

The weirdest thing of the property is the fact that there are plain-glass windows between the shower and the balcony. Hence, people on the balcony (and some of the neighbors) have an unobstructed view of the bathroom. This should really be addressed with some foil. The process of checkin-in is a bit cumbersome. After booking, you get contact details of the host who should hand over the keys. The host outsourced this to another person and eventually, we got the keys from the lockbox next to the front door. During our stay, the host was very responsive on Whatsapp and very helpful in finding supermarkets open on 24-12, etc. We left the tourist tax and deposit for cash pick-up by the host and he paid the deposit back by bank transfer a couple days after the stay.

Perfect location in centre of village. Was very lively due to 10 days of fiesta! Traditional house with lovely main bedroom and terrace. The air conditioning was our saviour in the heat and humidity. Very pretty stairwell which attracts lots of photographers!

Sun parasol was missing despite a request for a replacement and had to use beach brolly given it was 32c and very sunny. Needs a proper replacement!

The weather!

This authentic town house has a great location in beautiful Fornalutx. We loved the terrace which is spatious and comfortable and has a great view. Aina is a perfect host and we felt very welcome. Free parking is available close by.

The electric induction hob failed at the start of the holiday but was rectified by engineers by the second week.

Second time we've stayed here, so you can see we like it. Lot's of space for two, idyllic location nice roof terrace with mountain views opening off the main bedroom. Some beautiful old furniture.

Could do with a little updating, but the new owner is planning to deal with this. The other two bedrooms don't have much natural light.
