Best price in the area. Laz and Des accommodated our late arrival without an ounce of complaint despite it probably causing them an inconvenient late night work. They helped warm the milk for our little one, and gave us the equipment to warm a bottle in our room during the night without us needing to ask for it. They just knew! They accommodated a 7am breakfast for our early departure the next morning, with an extremely good value cereal and toast breakfast, with plenty of tea and juice for our family of 4. The room was cosy, and the picture showed what we were getting before and was plenty big enough for us to spend the night in comfortably, even with the addition of a cot that laz kindly provided and set up for us. Really conveniently located for getting to the ferry port in no time at all. Would definitely stop here again!

Breakfast at 10 GBP is a little bit expensive as compared to price for the room (room cost + 2 breakfast = 90 GBP = equivalent to higher rating hotel with breakfast included).

George was so very helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic. Overall a wonderful experience.

Lovely clean room with double bed and a chair. Kettle with plenty of provisions. Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast along with cereals etc... Well worth paying for to save the hassle of looking around. Nice friendly couple who run the B&B. Only a 10-minute walk from town. Recommended.

It was a basic room, one night only so it was not an issue but rather expensive for what it is.

The fact that I could park my car for my stay. The hosts are wonderfully kind people and nothing was too much trouble....even when I had a swim that started at midnight and went throughout the night.

If i had to find something, the shower could have done with being a power shower. But I am being very picky. It met my needs and my room was on the top floor.

We had a very warm welcome from Laz & Des on arrival and they made us feel at home throughout our stay. They offered lots of local tips for the area and were very accommodating of dietary requirements. The room also surpassed our expectations - it was large and the bathroom facilities were clean and worked well.

A very small issue that I encountered was that I prefer to sleep with the windows open, and since our room was facing the street, there was noise coming from people talking outside in the early hours of the morning. This is obviously no reflection on the guest house which was lovely, just a personal preference.

Excellent breakfast available. Parking on the road outside the Guest House and close to the railway station. Within walking distance of the town centre, castle and museum. Perfect for an overnight stay before a channel crossing

The hosts were very kind. They’ll always receive you with a smile and share insights about Dover with you. I couldn’t recommend a better place for people to stay for a weekend getaway.

Great place (comfort, location, convenience) and awesome super hosts From booking through to checking out it has been a wonderful experience and awesome hospitality by Laz and Des who are both incredible superhosts. It’s such a lovely place, very conveniently located, clean, tidy, tastefully decorated, spacious airy rooms, with all amenities. In prep for the trip I had emailed with queries and they were very quick with their response and every communication with them was so positive and helpful. I arrived during the heatwave and they had a fan for me in the room and also very kindly let me keep my dads insulin in their refrigerator. They go above and beyond to make the guests feel at home. I had ordered take away on my first evening and even before I could ask they gave me plates and cutlery. I am a nervous driver when it comes to parking and Laz had not only saved me a parking spot but also very kindly parked for me when I was struggling. I was very impressed with all the hand sanitizing stations on different levels of the property and precautions they have taken to keep their guests safe. Full cooked English Breakfast was really scrumptious and we were very looked after. Location is convenient and spot on as it’s a stones throw from the train station and walking distance to the high street, restaurants, shops, marina and beach and close to the castle and port. I highly recommend Norman Guest House for a stress free and relaxing trip for anybody visiting Dover, Deal, Folkestone. I will definitely come back again.

Very clean, with very comfortable bed. Good size room and bathroom. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and there is a very friendly atmosphere in the house. Wonderful breakfasts! Central Dover so easy access to all amenities and the ferries. I would definately stay here again if in the area.
