Ce rustique, la maison Adirondack style est plein de charmes et de bizarreries. Familles et amis ont été de retour ici, à chaque fois, juste pour profiter de la magie qui est 'Camp'. Fantastic family vacation
Our stay at this house on the lake was exceptional—the lake, the sunsets, the fire pit (and s’mores!), the dock, the kayaks and canoe, the raft (and cannonballs!)—it was the perfect location for our extended family to relax and enjoy. The expanded kitchen was a great plus and easy for several of us to work in at a time. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Paradise on Lake Champlain
We are so thankful for the opportunity to spend a week at the Lake House...if you're looking for a Hilton Resort - this is not the property for you...this is a true Adirondack Lake House with years of family history..... clean, comfortable and with all the amenities to make your family's stay a special time......our family so enjoyed the kayaks, canoes and fishing....a great place.......THANK YOU.........Jim and Linda Persons and our family members who were with us !!!!

Even better than it looks
I booked this property for a college reunion where we filled every bed of this house for a week - a week that turned out to be one of the hottest on record (August 2021). Even though nearby South Hero temps were mid-90s, our location remained cool and comfortable due to the prevailing winds off the lake. The water access was excellent for swimming and boating and there was very little motorboat traffic in the area, which made for quiet, unobstructed views of the Adirondacks. The house was charming and my two concerns from the photos - that the kitchen would be too small for large group cooking and that 1.5 bathrooms would not be enough - had been solved by recent renovations, in which they doubled the size of the kitchen and added a second shower (plus an outdoor shower). We spent the week jumping in the water, hanging out on the wraparound porch, eating around the picnic table, stargazing by the firepit, playing volleyball, cornhole, and basketball - and just breathing in the fresh air. The one slight complaint was that the house was hot for sleeping - the result of it being a very hot week and that many of the lovely old windows do not open. There were ceiling fans throughout the downstairs and box fans for every bedroom, so we actively managed the airflow and it worked out. Thanks to the owners who share their special family place with the rest of us!

Family Lake Week!
We have stayed here more than once and come back for the beautiful lakeside location, ease of enjoying Lake Champlain and simplicity of the camp. The place is equipped adequately and cleaned well beforehand. We like using the canid, kayak and paddleboard to explore.

Great Lake house. My family enjoyed the time in a secluded area on the lake. The location for the fire ring is outstanding. One of the best weeks away we have ever had.

Private lake view
What a wonderful location on the water. Camp style house rustic as described, but had everything we needed. The sunset views and water access could not be beat. Great for our (small this time) family gathering.

Nirvana
What a special place to spend a week away from the craziness of 2020. The setting on the lake with the massive water frontage and the peacefulness was reinvigorating. The house itself was campy and could use an update but that didn’t take away from the setting. The house had everything inside and out that you would want for recreation, fun and relaxation. The fire pit on the lake, the swimming dock, eating outside on the water were but a few of the highlights. Proximity, less then a mile, to the winery and bike riding without traffic was a pleasure. We will be back to this very special place. Brittany and Ron as well as Jen were always available for anything we needed. Well done Camp Rushford!

Private setting
The place is just what we were looking for. Traditional Vermont cabin, with one of the nicest settings I’ve seen. We’ll try and be back every year. I was impressed more when we arrived than the pictures showed online.

Fabulous location - great vacation rental
Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The property itself is gorgeous - far more spectacular a lakefront than the pictures can do justice to. We had plenty of space for four adults and five teenagers, and plenty to do. The kids rode bikes all over the place and loved the freedom - roads were quiet and made for easy biking. We didn't leave the water often, but when we did, there was plenty of room on the ample waterfront for the kids to swim and play and have their own space and leave the adults undisturbed. The house itself has quirky charm - if you're looking for a resort feel with full-service everything, this will not be the place for you. We felt like we were part of the family there - easy comfort, well stocked kitchen, great game and puzzle selection. We loved the location so much we tried to extend (they were fully booked) and loved South Hero so much we are looking at buying our own property there. It is a perfect family location. .

Lake Life
The setting of this camp was unbeatable - beautiful rocky ledges, clean water for swimming, a steady breeze, and complete privacy. The kids loved catching frogs and swimming to the raft. Biking to the Snow Farm Vineyard was awesome, too. The family made wonderful memories that will last a life time!

Magical Spot
For our family this location could not be better. With adults and children that love the water, fresh foods, an opportunity to bike and best of all an wonderful outdoor shower it is heaven. Rustic yes. A camp yes but that is what we want. We are blessed to be able to go to South Hero. Thank you.

An awesome lake house!
This was the perfect property for our big group that came to Burlington for the marathon. The house is even closer to the water than I imagined. You can hear the waves lapping at the rocks when you wake up. Incredible views! A great, rustic house to enjoy the lake and unplug with friends and family! We would definitely like to return!

Very nice and quiet house in an amazing location
Great 2-week stay last August 2018, on the lake, with a private beach, facing the Adirondack mountains, with gorgeous sunsets. Lots of rooms and a large living space on 1st floor. Comfort is basic but that's what you can expect from a lake house. Shopping on the island is not too far away and Burlington is only 30 minutes by car. We loved the Thursday evenings at the local winery, half a mile from the house, with food trucks, local beer and live music outside. Just a wonderful experience that our whole family did enjoy.

Incredible property
Our family stayed for a week at the Rushford Camp and had a wonderful time. The house and location are amazing and water access and views unbeatable. Plenty of space with large bedrooms, a big dining room table and space to lounge in the living room or on the porch. The rustic feel of the place might not be for everyone but it was exactly what we were looking for.

Old fashioned summer House with Fabulious Rock Shore
It was the hot spell! High ninties everyday. the water was perfect, the breeze was strong all day. Multiple fans made summer sleeping a reality. One must enjoy the hum and the fact the upstairs did not fully cool until the weather broke.
Plenty of play space for our young and the rocks easy to manage, the canoe and kayak a joy for the families.
We had been there 2 years a go. It is fantastic not to have to bring your own linens and the new mattresses are wonderful. Greatly appreciated additions.

Great for a group
We stayed at the camp for a week with our friends and kids and had a great time. The house has plenty of space, and the beds are new and comfy! Access to the lake was a bit tricky for the little ones, but we found the cove on the property and used that area more. We loved using the kayaks and paddle board, and swimming to the dock was a favorite activity. I highly suggest checking out the Thursday night concerts at Snow Farm winery, it's only minutes away (we rode the house bikes there!)

Perfect getaway
The camp was exactly what we were looking for. We had a group of 12 and the house had more than enough room. The waterfront was truly unique and unforgettable. We had a fire every night (right on the waterfront!) while the waves splashed off the rocks. The camp is definitely secluded but not in the middle of nowhere. We caught some live music at the winery less than a mile from the camp and Burlington is less than a 30 minute drive. The house if nicely furnished but it’s a vacation home, if you’re looking for 4-star amenities then you probably want to check something else out. The home was clean and full of character. Also, our lab was welcome at the camp! Absolutely perfect... We will be back for sure!! Thanks!

Rustic perfection
My family stayed in this rustic and warm home for a long weekend in October and had the time of our lives. You feel isolated from the world on an incredible peninsula with spectacular southwest facing sunlight. We brought our bikes and within just a few minutes ride down quiet West Shore Road, we stumbled across a lovely winery, then an apple orchard, then antique shops... and just a 5 minute drive was wonderful horseback riding through the Fall colours on trails. We enjoyed BBQ meals on the picnic table overlooking the lake, as well as canoe rides and basketball in the yard. We can't wait to return with our other children in 2015!

Perfect Place on Lake Champlain
Our group of 10 had a fantastic weekend at this incredible property right on the water. Remote enough that we felt like we had the lake to ourselves, the cabin slept us all comfortably and the large dining table enabled us to have really fun communal dinners together. We used the grill for a cookout, had a lively game of horseshoes, and a few of us even braved the cold lake water! The owner was very helpful and prompt in answering any questions. We'll definitely come back as soon as we can!

This property is one of the most peaceful I have been to. we held our family reunion here; the water was beautiful, accomodations were rustice and very charming. The buildings and out buildings were in excellent condition. We had no problems at all with bugs of any kind??

The camp on Lake Champlain has spectacular frontage comprised of fossilized bedrock. The cedars surrounding these formations are a reflection of life in a wild and untamed area. The house itself sits above the rocks, surrounded by a wide porch. There is room for comfortable and relaxed seating, as well as the grill, fishing tackle and what have you.
Green paint and cream trim give the house an earthy appeal. The camp house contains mementos of past outings, family treasures and past artwork from family and friends. The kitchen has every conceivable plate, platter or utensil for cooking, and the long narrow tablein the dining room seats all members of a crowd. The bedrooms are quaint and in keeping with the rustic nature of the property.
Having access to a boat, dock and floating dock made for hours of family fun. The rocks are a perfect place to lay out on a sunny day, with a view of the blue mountains.

As a UVM graduate I was familiar with the lovely Lake Champlain Islands, so I wanted a property next to the water, yet easily accessible to Burlington. We, along with two other families, found this private location with its spectacular view. There was plenty of sleeping room for us all and a large table with benches to accommodate many eaters, hungry after a full day of swimming, boating, and biking. The kitchen had been modernized, while the house's other rooms retained their old time rustic charm. There was even cable tv and a dvd player. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch, grilling our evening meal, and feeling the breeze from the lake. It would be hard to find a better spot for a group of friends or family members to get together!

We rented this cottage for a friends reunion in early may. We were 4 couples (8 adults) and everyone found more than enough space. The big table was well appreciated for playing games and catching up. The owners were extremely attentive and every detail was taken care of. The cottage is rustic and very comfortable. Since it was early spring, we didnt use the lake, but loved the sunsets. Thanks for sharing this place with us!
