This place has the absolute best view in all of Ortigia. The terrace alone made the stay worth it. The location is also perfect, there is a shop, gelateria and ample restaurants about a minute walk away. The interior was also designed well with cool art on the walls. It was an absolutely gorgeous place.This terrace and location made the place a 5* place. Also, the landlord was very communicative and check in and out was a breeze.

There was no shampoo or conditioner, and no dish soap either. When my husband sat on the beach lounger the morning of the first day, it broke, and though it looked like an easy repair the landlord wasn't helpful at all so the rest of the trip we only had one between us. The bathroom smelled horrible, like sewage. Finally, the pillows were really too thick and affected our sleep.

The host was extraordinarily rude and unhelpful No face to face contact and any communication curt in some circumstances extremely rude. (actually called me a “liar” because I was unable to find a second corkscrew , and this was after the cleaner barged into our apartment unannounced and proceeded to remove glasses and the corkscrew from our cupboard!!!!

We loved the view. Breathtaking and as advertised. Location was excellent. Spacious, clean and comfortable apartment.

The only small negative was not being able to figure out the washing machine easly. Minor detail that in no way impacted our enjoyment of this property.

The view was absolutely amazing. It was pretty breathtaking to be able to wake up to this view. The location was not bad too even though the parking was 15mins walk away from the accomodation, it was a nice and easy walk. The owners or caretaker or the properties are pretty informative pre-check in, making check-in a very smooth process.

The cleanliness of this property was appalling. The floor of the entire apartment was sticky and dusty when we arrive, the owners were kind enough to organise for a cleaner to come in a few days later to clean up the apartment floor, but it didn't make a difference at all, the cleaning was as to no avail. Of course, I understand that the property cannot be absolutely clean since we have used it for a few days already but it was as if it has never been cleaned before, so I am not sure if the cleaners actually made any effort to clean. We also found some baby silverfish in the apartment (of which one came back to our home with us in one of our bags, its shocking). This puts the cleanliness of this apartment in big question. I don't know if the owners are aware but it seems like it is a long running issue whereby the cleaners just have not done their job properly everytime. There were also so much crumbs on the dinning chair cushions that were not cleaned before we arrive. Some furnitures in the apartment eg. sofa is so worn out, there is a big black mark on it. The shower head in the bathroom was very weak and rusty, only half the amount of water came out each time we shower. They either need some serious cleaning or replacement. The owners should consider changing their cleaners. We are very aware and concern about the condition and cleanliness of the apartment because we are travelling with a young child. I have stayed in many places in Italy, and the condition this apartment is not great. I totally love the view and the coziness of the apartment, and I thought to myself, what a shame that the maintainence and cleanliness of the apartment has completely failed. It seems to me that very little care has been put into the management of this property sadly considering how beautiful this apartment could have been. I rate it a 6 purely only because the views of this property acted as a compensation for its poor cleanliness and maintenance.

Although the location seemed to be a street back from the water in a narrow alley, our apartment had a balcony right on the esplanade overlooking the bay. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable with a fantastic view. The air conditioning was effective and much needed during the very hot evenings.

The only thing that disappointed was that we had to leave!

It really is the best spot to stay in in Ortigia. You have everything on your doorstep. Start to finish a great stay and even better that the host also does swift comfortable airport transfers. Perfect package! While you are there, appetitivo at Calarossa Cafe almost below is the perfect way to start your evening or granita on you way home from a very local swim!

The view, the aircon, the beds. I would stay here again, best location

Wifi was bad and didn’t work in every room , no working remote for tv, but could work with new batteries. You can’t keep the aircon on when you leave the apartment because of the key card is used for entry and power. Would have been nice to have multiple keys, so you could separate from each other without coordinating. It would be nice if they had beach gear for you. You are so close to the beach and tge umbrella would be so nice.

Mouldy walls. Disgusting drainage stench in kitchen & bathroom. Dirty, tatty, common area and entrance. Falsely advertised.

Nice apartment looking over water and picture like Orteiga. Comfortable bed, everything you need in well equipped kitchen ( including coffee machine with simply great coffee pads), very helpful apartment owner.

The terrace and it’s extraordinary view is the nicest I have ever seen.

Even though on the property preferences it is clearly stated that pets are allowed, the person I had on the phone at our arrival (nobody there to greet us either!) threatened to have us kicked out for having brought with us our small dog, a 5kg bichon maltais, very clean and very quiet. We were outraged that they made us feel like we sneaked the dog in like thieves. Clearly bad manners. The staff is absent or arrogantly dismissive when called for help with our stay. At 10AM sharp the cleaning staff came in and forced us to leave promptly.

A beautiful spot right on the sea. Newly renovated and very comfortable and spacious. Emmanuel was a gracious host in spite of a small confusion in the beginning as to whether we had the correct property. As a result of the beautiful renovation the new space did not look like the original photos. Would definitely return! The location was perfect!

We loved everything!

We had a great stay in this apartment. The terrace was absolutely fantastic with an amazing sea view and we spent a lot of time there .Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was great with a good shower. Emanuele was helpful whenever we needed anything . The apartment was in a very central but also quiet part of Ortigia. . We just wish we stayed for longer!

This is a lovely apartment with a fabulous sea view. It is well equipped and spotless. The process of getting the key was easy and the host was very efficient and prompt in answering questions. There is a small balcony overlooking the sea, great for having a drink in the evening time and the bedroom was really spacious with plenty of storage etc. It is in a great location for restaurants, bars and sight seeing.

The shower looks great but is very weak and I would have liked a stronger pressure. This is not related to this particular property but in Ortiga if you plan on driving or hiring a car please be aware that you are not allowed to drive or park on the street anywhere except when arriving or leaving and parking in car parks is expensive and you need to download a parking app. Again not related to this property but there is very little beach to sunbathe so you will need to go to a beach club which is 25 euro per person per day.

Modern facilities with all the comforts and a GREAT location with an amazing view to the sea!

No parking available close to the property, the only option is 15-20' away walking. Uncomfortable sofa - bed and bathroom with a door that merely closes.

Great location, good air conditioning system, comfortable bed and awesome view of the ocean.

Neighbor is doing construction on the property so we were awoken every morning to construction noises. This is not anyone’s fault but good to know still.

The huge terrace facing the bay or Ortigia, the beach just downstairs.

Kitchen equipment is basic. An oven or a microwave oven would have been appreciated.
