Having spent 4 nights in Trogir and 5 nights in Splitska on the island of Brac we decided to spend our last 7 nights on the Makarska riviera at Villa MirA, which is a fabulous new modern style villa up in the hills of Makarska. The villa has 3 stunning bedrooms all of which are ensuite and each has a lovely balcony facing the sea. The largest bedroom also has its own separate dressing room and lounge area which has a sofa bed. The main lounge, kitchen and dining area are open plan and are bright and airy. On the ground floor there is a gym, a sauna, a further shower and a laundry room. Outside is a futher dining area with barbecue facilities with stunning views of the Biokovo mountains. The private pool is located at the front of the property along with a seating area and good sunbathing facilities which has wonderful views out to sea and over to the islands of Brac and Hvar. The views of the sun setting over Brac were outstanding. The villa was very easy find and has private parking facilities. The hosts ( Mirna and her husband Miljenko) made us feel very welcome and provided good recommendations on local restaurants and places to visit during our stay. They also kindly accommodated our requests regarding our arrival and departure times which were outside of the normal hours. The villa, which is finished to a very high standard, provided us with an excellent base for discovering the lovely towns that make up the Makarska riviera and of these we particularly enjoyed visiting Breda and Podgora. We would highly recommend the villa and we will definitely stay there again when we next return to the Makarska riviera.
