Residence "Regina Margherita"-between the Sorrento-Amalfi coast and Pompeii

We were looking for a place to stay in between sorrento and pompeii and found this listing. This was a great neighborhood a few blocks from the ocean boardwalk with shops and restaurants.
Its a 5 min walk to the train to go to sorrento.
The host and nostess of the house were so hospitable and provided us with a warm welcome.
We loved our stay and plan to return.

Had a great experience and the service provided was excellent. Quick communication and very friendly

The property was as described.
We were a short walk away from shops, restaurants and the train station. We used the circumvesuviana line to visit Naples, Sorrento, Pompei and Herculaneum and took a ride on the cable car too.
The principal downside to the visit was the attitude of the ticket clerk at the railway station. We had one or two run-ins there - the most disasterous being when we boarded a train he said would take us to Herculaneum but which did not stop at that station and we found ourselves in Naples instead (a 60 euro taxi ride to get back to where we wanted to be).

Lucia's apartment was perfect for our stay in Castellammare di Stabia. We wanted somewhere close to the archeological parks (easy train ride/short walk) and the Amalfi Coast, and a pleasant place to rest and relax by the sea.
The apartment itself was spacious, cool, clean and comfortable. It was equipped with everything you needed to eat in and the homegrown/made produce on arrival was a lovely touch.
We would highly recommend staying at Lucia's place.

Lucia has thought of everything you could possibly need! After travelling throughout Italy in sometimes cramped one bedroom accommodation with two teens this accommodation has space & then some. Room for our teen daughter to chill out in a room of her own with the Wi-Fi, space for our son to chill with games provides & of course space for Mom & Dad. Lucia was so thoughtful to leave water, juice, coffee, milk, fresh pastries and lots more. Best accommodation with super comfortable beds, clean linen, plenty of towels and air-con (needed in this heat wave). The area is busy with lots of restaurants and bars down by the seafront. It is a pity the beach isn’t better kept by the local area but it did not deter us from taking a dip. Overall super accommodation.

Great apartment home with room for family of 6 to spread out. Bedrooms have AC. Kitchen and bathroom are large. We cooked breakfast every morning and dinner a couple times. Everything is provided including plenty of towels and pillows which is nice. Very quick walk to train station to go to Sorrento or Pompeii etc. Owners are very accommodating! Grazie mil!

Lovely space with excellent air conditioning which was needed. Close to the train station which was needed. On arrival we found local wine and fruit which was great. Ideally situated between Pompeii (amazing) and Sorrento (lovely). We hired a boat from Stabia and were able to get to and around Capri. Highly recommend. No licence required. Check out Click and Boat.

Spacious apartment and excellent communication
Lucia's apartment is large, comfortable, and includes all the amenities we needed (air conditioners, dishwasher, clothes washer and drying lines, fully stocked kitchen). She was a very kind host and responded to all messages quickly and thoughtfully. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train station and close to markets, shops, and the city center. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this apartment as a home base for exploring the Naples area!

Nice place to stay
The flat is convienently situated (near bus stop and train station, just few steps to the center), very spacious, lovely balconies. Very warm, wellcoming and helpful hostess (homemade wine, selfgrown tomatoes, figs and delicious pastry). All the information we needed was given immediately. We felt welcome😽😽😽

GENIAL

Beautiful, rustic apartment in an amazing small town
Traveling with 3 kids and two sets of grandparents we enjoyed this apartment for all 9 of us. I was worried about only having one bathroom and no AC but it really wasn't an issue. The house is a 5 minute walk from the train station and very close to a grocery store, fruit stand, pizza place and bus stop. We were please to find a sampling of homemade wine and pastries waiting for us after the harrowing journey from Rome through Naples to Castellammare di Stabia. The town itself has a really cool cable car that goes to the top of a mountain and offers an incredible view of the Sorrento coast from Capri to Vesuvius. My only regret is that I didn't have more time to explore the town and learn more about it.

Close to Sorrento!
Francesco’s place is close to Sorrento and is in the humming busy center of Stabia!
Lucia and Francesco were very hospitable and even had wine, pastries and local oranges when we arrived! They do not speak any English, but we did just fine with Google translate and I tried my best hand at Italian! This apartment is huge and very spread out! It has 3 bedrooms and just 1 bathroom, but does provide a washing machine and place to hang laundry out to dry! There are also 3 porches that overlook the street below for people watching.
Stabia can be a bit intimidating if you’ve come from Northern Italy before your visit here, but the locals are warm and friendly. There is a lot of street noise, so if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs!
This place was very close to Sorrento and Pompeii and there are trains that can take you there, as the traffic is a bit insane! If you haven’t driven in Italy, you’re in for a shock! Take the trains if you’re uncomfortable. There is a parking lot that you can lock a rental car up in though; just be aware that it closed up at 10:00pm and you can’t get your car out until 7:00am the next morning. If you have an early flight, this is important to know! There is street parking too though!

Grande casa pulitissima

The apartment is big and well equipped.et
This is a conveniently located apartment with lots of room. But it is on a noisy street that continues well into the night. There is no Air Conditioning so it is very warm in the summer months (we were here in July). It is reasonably close to the waterfront area and a good walk to the supermarket. Would be a good place for a family because there are 3 bedrooms.

Bay of Naples part 2
Owners were very helpfull and provided some fresh local pastries and drinks for us. Apartment was clean and had everything we expected but could do with a fan since there is no air con. The dropped star for us was due to the noisey location...for me personally in the frknt bedroom it was difficult to sleep so I purchased some earplugs, the rear room was much better. Castellamare was good for eating out, nice and cheap and we really enjoyed the seafront evening walks. We used this as a base to Sorrento, Almalfi Coast as well as Pompei and Vesuvio so were only in the apartment during the evenings.

Better than the pictures
Lucia and Francesco were amazing hosts. Communication was excellent. Francesco was waiting for us when we arrived, helping us with our luggage and making sure we had everything we needed. We loved the pastries, champagne, assorted juices and most especially the fresh cherries that the owner left for us. The place was immaculately clean. Our family of 7 had enough space to spread out though we had to take turns to use the 1 bathroom. Not a problem really for us. I agree with the other reviewers that the noise from the street can be bothersome at night but nothing that ear plugs cannot fix. And by the 2nd night, the sounds on the street didn't really bother me (maybe I was super tired too). The apartment was located very close to the train station so it was convenient to tour Pompeii, Sorrento - from Sorrento we even rode the hydrofoil to Capri. We had an amazing time in the Campania region. Thank you so much Lucia and Francesco for your hospitality!

Location is great if going to the Pompeii and area ruins and dont want to stay in Naples or Rome.
The owners couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. The homemade pastries were above and beyond. So delicious and wonderful! They were also very quick to respond when there was some heat issues. Very easy walk to the train which made getting to the sites very easy. Would recommend 2 days at Pompeii to see everything. The road is quite loud so bring earplugs.

ALL YOU COULD WANT FOR COMFORT AND AN EXCELLENT BASE FROM WHICH TO EXPLORE THE AREA
There is nothing we would want to change. Before our arrival, Lucia was responsive to all of our emails, and always replied quickly to our questions.
The apartment is at most a 10 minute walk from the train station. You do not need a car as Castellamarre di Stabia is on the CIRCUMVESUVIANA train line, and trains are frequent from early morning to late evening, even on weekends. As a result you can easily reach the entire coast from Naples to Sorrento without additional connections (including the sites of Ercolano, Pompeii). If you want to go further afield, it's easy to get to Naples for any other connecting trains.
You are within walking distance of small shops, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.
Before and during our stay we had contact with Lucia, her husband, and her son and they were each very helpful and welcoming. A level of hospitality that would be difficult to match.
I hesitate to mention the lovely welcome gift of sweets and a bottle of Italian bubbly that was on the kitchen table in case that isn't always provided. Mmmmm... the sfogliatelle and frolle (local pastries that were to die for). Such a nice way to begin our stay.
The apartment is just as presented in the photos. Large, high ceilings, spacious. If you are traveling as a family there's a large twin-bedded room with games and play space. We were just a single couple, so more than enough space to lose each other. The beds were very comfortable.
Every room (including the bathroom) was spotlessly clean. Lots of closets, and storage space. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of work space, and a small dining table, and a separate dining room with another table.
Wi-Fi worked great.
Thank you again Lucia, Francesco, and Vincente for a really pleasant stay.

Very convienent accommodation
Lucia and her husband are very nice, hospitable and caring people . They provided us all information on car parking, public transport, shops, siteseeing in English in writing when we met. The appartment is very spacious, clean, comfortable. There is wifi internet, TV, washing mashine, bathroom, big kitchen with all equipment, etc. The train and bus station is very close, also shops, cafes, food markets, fairy boat to Salerno, Capri etc. We will definitely recommend this appartment . Lucia made us a surprise - special Italian sfogliatella napoletana -she made herself, and her husband treated us with tasty house wine., for which we thank you. We are grateful to these people for our nice stay in Italy this summer.
