Loved sitting on the front porch reading with the ocean waves sounding in the background. You can see the ocean and some of the waves from the front porch so that was special. Great informal restaurants! Not crowded at all whether shopping or on the beach. Love that the area is so dog friendly!

Exactly as advertised with well-stocked kitchen, great communication with host, and beautiful view! Location was great - with easy access to the beach and center of the island. Very clean inside and out, pool was great, and laundry room was easy to access. The host thought of everything with even the small details such as extra towel hooks and empty baskets for storage! We were very impressed and plan to visit again in the future!

We've spent the last five years vacationing on St. George Island, and in those five years we've stayed all over the island hoping to find the one place we want to rebook and this year we found it! The location is perfect, the ease of access to the beach and the pool is so convenient, and the unit overall is in great shape. We really appreciate having a washer/dryer so that we can pack less and wash clothes during the stay. It is dog friendly which is RARE and they even have the unit equipped with dog blankets, crate, and gate. All of which came in really handy. I honestly can't think of a single thing to complain about. The only feedback I would offer is to up the amount of trash bags and toilet paper offered in the unit for a weeks stay. We only had a roll and a half of toilet paper and two trash bags - which for four women/girls is definitely not enough! We signed the guestbook and made sure to leave the home as we found it. We will definitely try to book this rental again! The hosts were so easy to work with and even let us check in early upon arrival so that we could get the dog out of the car. Thanks so much for an amazing stay on SGI! We hope to see you again next year!

We had an excellent stay, even though there were some pretty rough stormy days. We made friends with the neighboring condos… everyone was super friendly and respectful. Also, a huge thanks to the owners for letting us bring our dogs last minute. They loved every second of playing ball on the beach!

My family and I had a great stay, the island is a beautiful place to kick back and relax, very quiet and not overcrowded, small town charm. We only had one complaint, the picnic table on the deck was very worn on top and dry, splintering. However, the owners were very easy to work with and overall, we had a wonderful time.

We had a great time & the place was charming. The place was clean. It was nicely decorated. Great location. Nice owners. However, we had some issues with people below us who own their condo thinking we had more people than we actually had- my sister coming by to visit (my place was closer to the water so we hung out more at my condo) & go to the beach with her kids. It was extra small kids putting us over the limit. It was frustrating to have to keep reassuring the owner that we were not doing anything wrong. We were not loud, & not there much. We had company during the day but they left and went to their places at night. It was the septic system that was the issue i think. We made sure not to over use. It was understandable that the owner had to verify our group count.

The condo is clean, comfortable, cute, and conveniently located with a short, easy walk to the beach plus a view of the ocean from the deck. We loved it and hope to return.

We had a great time! A perfect convenient location with young kids. The property was just as shown in the pictures. The hosts were accommodating and easy to work with.

We had a great time here. The place is a good size for 4 people to stretch out. The condo is cute and clean and had everything we needed. We had our meals on the deck looking at the water. The pool was nice on the days we had rip tide warnings so the kids still got to swim. We rented bikes and didn't need to use our car except the day we went to Apalachicola. Would come back!

This is a very nice property..great location, super comfortable beds, kitchen could have updated pots and pans.. Main issues (which the hosts say will be resolved was major..very spotty internet and I had to cancel many pre arranged zoom lessons AND a very confusing access to the television in the living room. We could NOT get it to work and there were no clear instructions on which remote to use etc. The fix of the internet was not going to be addressed until we had already left and the person on the island in charge of housekeeping had zero clue about how to rectify the situation. There were alot of apologies but no warning ahead of time and no way to address these two electronic issues as the hosts were not on the island. We plan to be back IF these issues are resolved as well as send many friends and family to the same house.

As the description says it’s not a fancy place BUT I will say it was comfortable and had everything we needed. Super clean and in a fantastic location. We found the bed to be a little too firm for our liking but overall enjoyed our stay.

Well equipped with great beach access

We stayed for my birthday this year. It was very nice and updated. Clean and cool. Beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again. If I had to say any negative I would say the shower head needs to be changed to update. It sprays so hard. But really, that’s all I could think of to complain about. :) great condo on St George.

Location is exceptional!! Spent a very relaxing week for our anniversary. The view was perfect from the deck. The walk to the beach was very easy. The Condo had everything that we needed. Many utensils were provided. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a getaway without crowds.

Adorable rental. Had everything one needed for our week stay. We stayed with 2 teenage girls and they LOVED it. The pool was a great option from the windy beach. We will definitely be back. Hosts answered all our questions in a timely matter.

This rental itself is very nicely furnished, well maintained and comfortable. Kitchen is nicely stocked. Communication with the host was easy and informative to the point we had no issues or questions arise once we were all checked in. The location is perfect for beach access and a short distance to anywhere on the island. Great view of the Gulf from the deck. Can't wait to come back and stay in this location again!

Our stay at Beach Oasis was as advertised, the beds were comfortable and well stocked with pillows and bedding. While not beach front we had a beautiful beach view and could hear the waves from the porch. The owners were easy to reach and quickly responded to any questions we had. We almost met some wonderful people in the adjoining units!

The owners were very easy to communicate with and promptly responded to any questions. The condo was really clean and it was a pleasant place to stay. The pictures on VRBO were accurate, and the place is nicely maintained. There is beach access directly across the street, and it is 3-4 miles away from the State Park, with a bike trail all the way there.

The location and home were wonderful. The weather was perfect and management communication exemplary. We loved that we were on the east side but not too far so we could walk and bike wherever we went. The beach access and view were convenient and amazing. We actually did see dolphins off the deck and with our coffee cups on the railing.

This is our fifth year renting Beach Oasis. It is the perfect home away from home for our family, in a convenient location with a beautiful view of the beach. We look forward to coming back again next year!

Our family of 5, three were 8 and younger, enjoyed our stay at Place in the Sun #2. We were close to beach as well as all the restaurants and attractions on the island. St. George Island is the perfect vacation spot for anyone looking for a slower pace and relaxing atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back!

This was a great find. Cute place and very clean! Good size, great location. Great view since 2nd level. The only negative experience was with our downstairs neighbors. They were either super sensitive to noise or there was no sound insulation between us. I was walking through the condo twice this week and we got a knock on the door asking us to keep it down. This doesn’t change my rating or how I feel about our trip. We had a great time.
