"Out of the Blue" was quite stunning --- *very* well equipped and comfortable, and an amazing view out of the front windows. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Hoping we'll be able to go back as we really loved it. Thoroughly recommended.

Fowey is a wonderful little Cornish village and well worth a visit. House location was great - short walk into village, nice views over river. House was homely with everything we needed to make our visit enjoyable. We had no problems with parking at the public car park which is about 2 min walk from house.

This was our second time at Out of the Blue and we had another wonderful stay. Fantastic location just a short walk from the centre of Fowey with outstanding views of the river, we loved watching the Boddinick Ferry and river traffic. Clean, comfortable and brilliantly equipped cottage - a real home from home. We enjoyed playing the board games! Thanks so much Debbie & Chris for all your help and support, such thoughtful hosts. We look forward to returning again!

We stayed there for almost two weeks & really very much enjoyed the house, the town and the friendly warm and welcoming atmosphere in and around Fowey.

We changed place after one night, because of constant noise from a car ferry crossing every ten minutes from 7.00am to 21.00pm for 7 days a week right in front of the location. Such an expensive stay shouldn't offer disturbing noise when you are on holiday. Very dreadful experience because we had to search for another cottage and pay twice.

We enjoyed our stay in June 2023 a lot. The accomodation was beautiful as described and Fowey turned out to be the most beautiful place in Cornwall compared to other villages we saw. I can highly recommend a stay.

Thank you Chris and Debbie for sharing your lovely home with us, the view of the Fowey River from the lounge creates a very peaceful setting. The house is very well situated to walk into the little village for dinner in the evenings or just to go exploring. Just wonderful sitting out on the balcony watching the sunset, however it would be great if the outdoor furniture could be cleaned as the pigeons had obviously enjoyed watching the sunsets before us! Thank you again for a lovely stay.

We were delighted with Out of the Blue- it was exactly as I thought it would be! Perfect for the two of us to explore Fowey and it’s surroundings. The house was clean, spacious and had all the facilities needed (we ate out for the duration but could see it was well kitted out!) The milk was handy. It felt off the beaten track, but close enough to the twin for a short walk and the car park was an easy walk and reasonable- £6.10 for 24 hrs. The little car ferry going back and forth is a bit noisy but you get used to it and it’s fascinating watching all the river goings on from the balcony, Would recommend.

Super little house in Fowey - clean, bright, well situated for amenities and with a terrific view of the estuary. We had a brilliant stay and would definitely return.

Property is situated in the perfect spot. Easy access to car park when going to beaches and you are in town any way so coffee in hand within 3 minutes walk into town. The flight of stairs didn’t bother us with a 9 month and a toddler. Beautiful views of the water. The property was very clean and tidy we absolutely loved our stay we will definitely be back again. Best staycation we’ve had to date with the weather being absolutely stunning too.

This is a sweet spot overlooking the river, a short walk from the centre of Fowey. Everything was comfortable, clean and in order and the host was helpful. Fowey is a super base from which to explore Cornwall or just hang out - the eating out options are great and there’s lots to explore. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was well located, very comfortable, and very clean. It has everything you need for a great break.

The house was in a lovely position overlooking the Fowey estuary where we sat and watched the world go by. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely return

The cottage was absolutely gorgeous with everything we needed as a family of three. The view was great across the River Fowey. We sat outside in a number of occasions just watching the river traffic. The location was great with only a very short walk to the main Fore Street. The cottage was cosy in the evening with a log burner to keep the chill away. We throughly enjoyed our break there and look forward to returning in the future.

We had a lovely short break in Fowey (our first visit) in a perfect cottage. The cottage was very clean with great views over the river/estuary. It is ideally located just a short walk to town and nearby parking (it is best to have the Just Park App). We really loved Fowey and went on a great walk from Fowey to Polruan, on the coast path to Pencarrow Head and then back to Bodinnick (over on one ferry and back on the other). Highly recommended.

I liked that it was clean. I did not like the long, steep staircase that was the only way up to the house. Carrying our luggage up was quite difficult and my husband actually fell. We would not have booked this had we known. The bathroom was on the ground floor which was a big inconvenience. Most annoying was the requirement to remove all garbage from the house upon leaving. Garbage collection had been four days before we left. We had to sneak around the town looking for places to put the garbage. Also, we had the pass code for the wifi but did not know which one to connect to. We finally found the small tag that had this vital information behind the tv. The tv remote had a dead battery and we were left with exactly one toilet roll upon arrival despite what it said in the descriptor. This property was not what was described or rather omitted its shortcomings.

We had a wonderful week here in August. We were very comfortable in the cottage and absolutely loved the view of the river. Perfect location for a short, easy stroll into the centre whilst being in a peaceful spot. Debbie was so helpful in the leadup with lots of information and advice. We hope to return!

The house was perfect for 4 adults staying for the week. We were spoiled with amazing warm weather, so ate breakfast out the front of the house in the sunshine every morning. Debbie was very responsive to my questions before & during our stay. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a week at the end of June. There was almost perfect weather and we had a very special week. The recommendations from the owners for restaurants, bakeries, and things to do were spot on. And should be noted. And sitting out on the porch with morning coffee, watching the boats in the river and people below on the street pass by became a morning ritual. Hopefully we we can get back to “ out of the blue”

Excellent stay in this charming terrace property with great views of the tranquil river Fowey. The cottage was very clean, and well maintained with excellent facilities. Fowey is such a lovely small town with very good eating opportunities.

A very well equipped cottage with wonderful view in quiet part of Fowey. The owners have done a wonderful job of decorating the cottage and have made it feel very welcoming. Lots of directions and advice on things to see and do. Would recommend to stay.

We stayed for 4 nights over Easter and the cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Waking up every morning to the sound of boats going up and down the river was perfect. The property has an uninterrupted view of the river looking upstream and you can load / unload directly outside where the old ferry slipway is located. The Caffa Mill car park is just a 2 min walk. We love Fowey and have been visiting for the last 18 years. ‘Out of the Blue’ was the ideal base for our latest visit. Thanks Debbie and Chris.

We really enjoyed our visit to Fowey and our stay in this beautiful house - the weather treated us very favourably and we followed the hosts’ suggestion and ate at Sam’s on the Sunday evening which we all very much enjoyed. The house is lovely and the location is perfect - we really enjoyed our morning coffee on the chairs on the front terrace watching the activity on the river. The house is equipped with everything we could have asked for and a lot of things we would never have thought of - obviously a lot of thought has been put into it. Fowey itself is very quaint and has plenty of options for eating or for a drink. Thanks again Chris and Debbie

Lovely cottage on the river. Came out of season so Fowey super quiet but great restaurants open.

Enjoyable long weekend in Fowey. The house is the perfect size with a really well equipped kitchen. Nice view out the front it the house. Short walk to the town centre, 1 minute to the car park in the other direction.
