This house was lovely and very comfortable.
We had everything we needed in the kitchen, the bed was comfortable and the shower/bathrooms are lovely and as pictured.
We really enjoyed the pool overlooking the bay. There is shade and sun in equal parts all day - perfect for a couple one of whom likes shade all day and the other who wants sun!!
The small beach down the road in front it Cabier Lodge is postcard perfect. Only a few local people were there when we went and the water was warm and calm.
Vikki was great to communicate with and Christine was awesome and helpful.
Be aware that the house is at the end of a bumpy dirt road - you have to drive about 5-7 minutes to get to a paved road. We were fine with it, but you don’t just “jump in your car and take off”.
This area is far from the main beach & tourist area of Grand Anse (45 minutes) and there is only a small grocery/convenience store at the top of the dirt road. Be sure to do your shopping near the airport. Christine was lovely and stocked the house for us before we arrived.
Driving around Grenada is not for the faint of heart. Left side of the road, narrow roads, no shoulder and very very windy. If you want to come to the house, relax and cook at home this is the place for you.
The house is awesome and would highly recommend.

A beautiful, well equipped villa, off the beaten track ,perfect for 2 couples with the 2 en suite bedrooms. The perfect way to de-stress, relaxing around the lovely pool, with just the sound of the sea and birdsong or take a 2 minute walk to the beach that you will have almost to yourself! An opportunity to see the real Grenada away from the tourist hot spots and meet the locals, starting with the wonderful Mr Japal, who collected us from the airport and subsequently ran us around the island for the rest of our visit. Another big thank you has to go to Ingrid ,who is a 15 min walk away ,down the dirt track ,well worth the trek in the heat for her Grenadian breakfast or an evening meal, all made with locally sourced fruit and veg, some grown by Ingrid herself .
Vikki the owner and Christine the local manager are always contactable so you can be re-assured of being well looked after at all times. Thank you Tatou House for making some lovely memories!

Wow - what a fabulous property. The pool was lovely and the house was too. Everything you may need was there too, lots of added touches you wouldn’t expect, such as mosquito repellent, coffee, sugar. Christine (the manager) brought us shopping for the first few days until our hire car came (this was definitely needed). We ventured out a few times but the villa and pool made us not want to leave. We Wouk’s definitely recommend it. Thank you to Christine and her team. To Vikki - thank you for lending us your beautiful home

We stayed at the property for 3 weeks and can definitely say this is a fantastic property in a stunning location looking out directly to the sea and a 3 minute walk down to a lovely beach
The villa is very well equipped and has a lovely pool the owners and local property manager are very responsive and made the stay all that much better
You definitely need a hire car as the property is somewhat remote but this was a definite plus for us as the setting was quiet and serene
The island of Grenada is wonderful with some of the best scenery and beaches in the Caribbean

Truly an amazing place. My wife and I loved the privacy and relaxation. We also too full advantage of being close to the lodge in which we could enjoy meals without leaving the area. The lodge also kept a tab for us so we could just pop in for meals or a drink - although they do ask for a reservation for dinner. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We would recommend hiring a guide for any long trails and the one recommended to us, Ryan Bartholomew, was fantastic. We are so glad we stayed here and think our trip was that much more meaningful than if we had stayed in a larger city on the island. We can’t recommend it enough.

This house was amazing. My wife and were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and i also needed some recharge time away from work. This property gave us everything we needed. 3 of the 8 days we stayed we never ventured out. Swimming in the pool while staring into the Atlantic or a 5 minute walk to a secluded beach that never had more then 2 other people at it. Evening drinks at the lodge near by , just us and a bartender , no one else. If your looking to be close to attractions this place isnt for you. If you want solitude in paradise, i would strongly encourage you to rent this house. We are already planning a return trip.

Nothing can quite prepare you for the 3D of Tatou House. This was a solo retreat for me to reconnect with myself. When I walked through the gate and looked to the right, I was speechless... Photos do not do the view justice. I spent two weeks taking in this view. I wrote, swam, slept, read, meditated, cooked, breathed, ate and practiced deep self care in this place. I was rewarded with reconnection.
Vikki, I am forever grateful for you and your Team's care and kindness. Thank you doesn't seem like enough. I will be coming back again. You are blessed to share a bit of heaven. Thank you!

The property was in a great, private location, close to the beach. We had a rental car which made it easier to get around the island and have access to local amenities. There is a grocery store located in close proximity to the house which was super convenient and I don't believe it is noted in the rental listing. Christine, the property manager was very responsive and helpful - she provided many recommendations during our stay. She also helped with some reservations when were were having some challenges. We loved the island and were able to see most of it during our visit. The house is located ~20 minutes from Grenville, which we found to be a great town with a lot of amenities (market, grocery stores, etc). And most importantly, the locals were all so friendly which certainly contributed to a wonderful vacation. We even got some recommendations from Ingrid who owns and operates the lodge up the road (and makes amazing food) on things we should see located close to the rental house. Such a great vacation :)

This villa has a location to die for! Remote but beautiful. The excellent facilities offers by the villa combined with the nearby restaurant of Cabier Lodge ( walking distance) makes this into a memorable holiday of a lifetime. Please don’t book it - we don’t want the competition for our return visits!

Our flight got in about 8 hrs late. It was pouring down rain and we were lucky to get our rental car. Made the drive up in about 35-40 mins as we lucky to have a local in front of us most of the way making our drive much easier. I highly recommend a SUV with AWD or 4x4 as the roads off the main roads can be quite rough. We arrived at a beautiful where Christine had dropped off a case of water earlier prior to our arrival and was definitely appreciated. Once unpacked and settled in, we enjoyed a late night swim in the amazing pool. The house is well stock with all the essential things you would need. You will also find various spices, coffee, sugar, and creamer. There was also a couple types of salad dressings in the fridge as well along with a brita filtration pitcher for water.
There is a laundry room and detergent if needed and the pool room has plenty of water toys, snorkel masks, boogie boards, etc for your days down at the beach. There are a few places to eat close by and more things to do in the town of Greenville. Granted we were only the for a couple of nights we made the most of seeing the entire north and east side of the island before our next stay that would allow us to visit the southern and western Caribbean side of the island.
Overall we really loved our time at Tatou House and would def stay again when we visit again. Vikki and Christine are amazing people.
Now lots of people will say its a long ways from everywhere and for the most part that is true but when viewing on Google maps you would realize that. Other factors that play a role is your comfort level and style of driving. The roads can be rough, quite narrow, steep with hard turns.
There are plenty of great places nearby that have great food, groceries , supplies, etc that are less expensive than the tourist side of the island. Many of locals have very small businesses such as mom and pop food stands, bars, mini mart with much of it along the side of the roads.
Will these folks may be in an area that doesn't receive much of the tourism dollars the service and food is exceptional. The people are very friendly. and really appreciate the opportunity to sell you their snacks, hand made goods, etc.
Be sure to have a currency app to make it super easy when trying to figure out payment and be sure to bring plenty of small bills. Most likely if you are traveling to Grenada you have the means to give an extra $1 and I assure it you it means the world.

We had an amazing 7 days at Tatou House in Grenada. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed. We arrived to fridge filled with beer and wine. Christine was extremely responsive and helpful. She calmed my anxiety about our car rental, helped facilitate a cab to the offsite car rental. Assisted in arranging a romantic beach dinner (we canceled). We had plenty of towels, beach towels, bed linens. Mosquito repellent was stocked as well. We were offered a mid-week cleaning. JoAnn was so pleasant and personable.
The only draw back is how far this villa is from St George. We were all over the island and had an amazing time buying fresh fish from the fish market. Exploring 2 beaches a day.
Our most memorable experience is swimming in the pool at night turning all the exterior lights off and swimming in the moonlight. WE WILL BE BACK!

Absolutely gorgeous! Prepare to cook your meals as the road is rough coming in and out and not a lot around. Amazing kitchen and tons of space (the island is HUGE). The pictures are accurate and that view is outstanding! Pool is 4 1/2 feet to 6 feet so bring your floaties! The patio is amazing for an evening for dinner, watching a movie, listening to the waves or a night swim! Highly recommend it :) Tons of beaches close by to check out!

Hidden gem
The house is located in a quiet, calm area and it has a beautiful view of the sea. It is a great place to relax and rejuvenate. The bed in the master bedroom was quite hard for us, but the other features of the house were great, and we enjoyed walking in the area.

Superb location & great villa
This holiday was made by having this slice of luxury with all we needed. The information from the owners was comprehensive and the local contact Linnette was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were fantastic and it was a pleasure to stay here. I highly recommend this property (hire a 4x4 as recommended by the owner if you are planning any trips or take taxis) and we look forward to returning again one day. Mark, Melanie & Mary Anne

Great spot!
This is a special place with a great setup for several people to stay and hang out with a great view. The biggest challenge is the location is a bit removed from "town", but once you are here you have everything you need to have a great time (kitchen, AC, wifi, pool, laundry along with a 2 minute walk to a great little beach). I recommend you ask the owner or property manager about doing the traditional Grenadian dish "Oil Down" with some of the staff - we did it on the beach and it was a great way to get a true sense of the culture. Thank you to Vikki, Lynette, Joanne, and Devon for a great stay!

Tatou house is in an ideal location for exploring the south and north parts of Grenada. Hiring a 4 x4 makes this easier and comfortable. The villa was immaculate, everything is there for a very comfortable stay and its layout means it is an easy and relaxing place to be. The view from the outside area is gorgeous and such a welcome sight in the mornings! Linnette and her team ,who look after the property are exceptional and could not have been more welcoming and helpful. To have a meal ready for us when we arrived was fantastic. Cabier Lodge just down the road is an excellent place, providing a 3 course, delicious meal on a covered terrace overlooking the bay. A great place to have a drink too. Supermarkets can be reached easily - one in Westerhall, Sog and another in Grenville, Kalko. It is easy to reach the wonderful beaches in the south with restaurants that provide great food. Travelling up to the northern part of the island you can see the beaches of Levera and Bathway which are stunning. The interior of the island can also be reached easily. We cannot thank everyone who helped us enough, we have so many happy memories of Grenada and would not hesitate to recommend Tatou House.

Beautiful property. A hidden gem for couples and small families. Stunning views! Clean property😊
The experience was wonderful. Linette got us from the airport and we were whisked off to St. Andrews. The drive there is a bit long (about 1.5 hours) as St. Andrews is far from St.George' if you want to venture rent a car! The property managers can help with that one. Ramon and his brother set us up with a wonderful car that got us around and both were helpful with general tips on Grenada. This spot is the perfect place for honeymooners as well ;). Most likekly you will be offered a chabce to taste some peronally made food on arrival dont miss out on that one! The options are between chicken and fish and are prepared with Local Grenadian spices. Very much worth it! 10/10 stars

We had a wonderful 3 days stay in Tatou House. We have lived in Grenada, returned for vacation and were amazed. The house is modern, beautiful, well designed, fully equippedand very clean. Everything you need is available. The outside terrace is great, view is spectacular and the pool is fabulous. The road up to the house (which takes about 7 minutes) wasn’t that bad at all. Although a bit remote, we always felt very save. We very much appreciated the meal Joanne made for us. We can highly recommended it. Communication with the local manager Linette and the owner Vicky was very easy. They take good care.

Amazing House!
The house is absolutely beautiful! The pool was so nice for mornings swims, or night swims, or any time of the day swims. The privacy was very nice and for the most part we were left completely alone. The restaurant and bar at Cabier was very nice and the food is very good. The beach is extremely close and very nice. Most mornings, we had the beach to ourselves. We loved the fresh breeze through the house, but enjoyed having the air conditioning unit in the master suite at night! You will definitely need bug repellent!!! The no-see-ums are everywhere and bite regardless of weather, time of day or the wind. The food on the island is really fresh and delicious. We visited the fish market in Grenville for fresh fish which was delicious. The Belmont Chocolate Factory was fun and delicious. The driving is very intense but if you pay attention, you will catch on quickly. We didn't give a full five stars only because the staff knew about a few stray dogs that were on the premises and told us just to not feed them and they would leave. The dogs ended up causing damage to the outside area and never left. I'm positive that Vikki will take care of that issue quickly. We occasionally had a few people come through the trail and surprise us after we saw them in the parking lot, but they never bothered us and we always felt safe. The house security was never compromised and there is an alarm system to help keep things secure. Make sure you visit Grand Anse beach and eat some delicious sushi at Carib Sushi. On Friday around lunch time, stop in a local restaurant for some Oil Down. The Seven Sisters Waterfall was so fun and refreshing and the restaurant at the Seven Sisters trail head was delicious. House of Chocolate Grenada Museum on Young street is worth a visit! Their cakes and treats are so amazing!!! We had a lovely time, but absolutely loved the Tatou House! Over all, we had a lovely visit.

We - a family of four with children aged 9 and 12 - spent two and a half weeks over Xmas 2018 in Tatou House. Tatou House is a well equipped, modern house, well thought through, very well climatized using natural winds with sheltered outdoor living areas. Considering the geographic location, we found amazingly few mosquitoes in and around the house - and the most spacious mosquito nets we have ever seen spanning over the beds. The house was spotless clean and very well maintained ... and so were the garden and the pool. The view from the patio and garden over the bay is amazing - we could never get enough of it.The road from Crochu to Tatou House is quite bumpy in parts. After occasional heavy rainfall, it is a good idea to drive a 4x4, otherwise any car will do. Saying that, a car is nice to use but not really essential if one does not mind a half hour stroll to the main East Coast Road which is served by plenty of busses (not on Sundays or bank holidays). For us, Tatou House was the perfect base to visit the entire island: distances are not that long.Eating out is quite nice in the area ... although the choice is somewhat limited. Everything is on offer from pricey in very classy style to low budget in simple but very friendly environment (and still very tasty).Tatou House enjoys perfect privacy. It is at the end of the road with only one neighbour - and a dense hedge to that property. The local manager was available whenver we contacted her and invisible otherwise: just perfect. The only problem was leaving after the 17 days we had booked when really we would have wanted to stay for much longer ... maybe some other time. :-)

A great place to unwind!
We enjoyed our stay at Tatou House. Over the years we have stayed at many villas and Tatou House was one of the better ones (beautiful location, perched on a peninsula in south western Grenada), and with the high standard of amenities provided at the house. We were made very comfortable by the property manager Linnette along with Joanne and Timmy on location. An SUV is essential to seek out supplies and visit the many beautiful places the island offers. 4 stars only because of the long drive for supplies to Grand Anse and St.Georges, geographically not far, but a winding 50 minute drive each way - but some would like this aspect as well! All considered, it was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy!!

Perfect place to drop out and watch the world go by
The property is exactly as pictured and described. No surprises at Tatou. The house is well designed to catch the breezes and views. Furnishings are comfortable and attractive with lots of attention to detail. The kitchen is better equipped than my kitchen at home! Bathrooms are beautiful with louvered walls that afford great views while showering. Tatou House is located on a very quiet side of the island. The house is very secluded and private which is exactly what we were looking for this trip. 4-wheel drive is a requisite as the road down to the house off the paved road is rutted. We were so content that we chose not to venture away except for an occasional lunch excursion at a marina about 25 minutes from the house. There is a secluded, clean beach about a 2 minute walk from the house. We were often the only ones on that beach. Pre-arrival communication with the owners and property manager was superb. Linette the local property manager is never more than a text or call away...she is a gem. If you want to drop out, relax, sit, nap, read and just watch the world go by this is the place for you.

Well designed house with wonderful views and sounds of ocean. 4 wheel drive essential to get away!
Tatou house is well designed to take advantage of the sea views and refreshing winds. Lovely views from terrace (great day bed for lounging), living area, main bedroom and shower!
The comprehensive fly screens allow you to keep doors open for cooling breeze at night without letting insects in.
It's a modern house, clean lines and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked with every dish, pan and implements imaginable!
The benefits of being in peaceful and secluded location is a little offset by the bumpy 7 minute drive to main road. We got used to it but we weren't keen on driving it in dark as more difficult to see the holes so we changed our eating habits and tended to eat lunch at one of many excellent restaurants in south of island, then cook simple meal back at house.
Alternatively we ate at Bruno's for dinner, you need to give them advance notice but Bruno delighted in preparing vegetarian options for my husband while I usually chose to have surprise! Food was fresh and excellent and supper at Ingrids at Big Sky Lodge is another option- although it entails a drive back track in dark.
Also Joanne will prepare wonderful meals at Tatou for you.
For the beautiful beaches of Grenada you need to drive to Grand Anse area which we managed to do in about 42 minutes driving quite fast. There are ones a bit closer like La Sagesse- 20 minutes.
The manager Linnette was cheery and very helpful as were Joanne and Timmy,
In conclusion, location is a delight and a challenge because of track however we much preferred it here to busy ness of Grand Anse.

Wonderful vacation
We had a wonderful vacation in Grenada. The house is very comfortable and as described in the pictures. If you want to relax, this is the place to go. Vikki was wonderful in answering all our questions before our trip. In Grenada, the manager, the housekeeper and the gardener were extremely helpful in giving us tips about what to do and where to go.
The tranquility is great but you are a bit far away from everywhere, especially (40-45 minutes by car) from the best beaches (Grand Anse, Magazine) that are on the west side of the island. There are two beaches by the house. The one on Cabier point (were Bruno's restaurant is) is fine but not what you expect from a Caribbean beach in terms of white sand and crystalline waters as it is on the Atlantic side. We never went there. The other one is filthy. But the pool is wonderful and you really do not need to go to the beach!
We spent 2 fantastic weeks and we highly recommend the villa to anyone.

Modern Oceanfront Paradise!
Our family spent 7 days at Tatou House and couldn't have enjoyed it more. I would highly recommend this property for those who want privacy, a remote location away from the tourist hubs and a stunning home overlooking the ocean. The house is modern and clean built by a local architect (Bryan Bullen) with clean lines and top notch everything. Great communication throughout the process from Vikki (the owner) and we were well looked after by the ever so helpful Linnette who manages the property. She arranged a car, a local cell phone, some groceries and a meal by the amazing Joanne upon arrival. Timmy showed us the home and everything we needed to know and we were set. We spent New Years Eve at Brunos down the path at Cabier Lodge and had the most marvellous dinner. We had Joanne come back and she cooked a second amazing shrimp meal. We felt so spoiled. Roads are windy and it takes a while to get places, but once you get the hang of it, it's fun. The people are extremely friendly and helpful and we always felt safe. We went to St. Georges for shopping, and Grand Anse Beach for swimming, then we explored Grenville as well. Try the local ice-cream (nutmeg flavour was delicious) and especially try the Grenadian chocolate, it is simply the best! We spent time hiking around the property out to the point (that you can see from the house) and we visited the beach nearby that we had all to ourselves. We spent a lot of time just hanging out by our pool and enjoyed not having to get dressed for dinner. We totally fell in love with this property and we will definitely be back!

Perfect, perfect, perfect!
We have been lucky enough to use many Homeaway properties over the years and have never been disappointed but Tatou House will always hold a special place in our hearts. Everything from day 1 of contacting Vikki, the owner, through to checking out with Linnette, the local agent, at the end was as straight forward and as easy as possible. Our enquiries and requests were always responded to promptly and even if they might have seemed trivial we were never made to feel that way.
The house really was perfect in every way, better than we could have hoped for or imagined. On arriving, we were initially rather concerned as to whether we'd find it too remote but we needn't have worried. The stunning, and very quiet, surroundings blew us away so we were more than happy to just stay at the villa. And when we felt like journeying out we found Crochu to be a good location to reach both the north and south of the island. It takes time to get around as the roads throughout the island are steep and winding but there is interest at every turn and travelling around in our hire car was easy. We did need to be organised with food shopping but Devon brought fresh fish when we wanted it and Bruno's restaurant, a 3 minute walk away, was perfect for delicious evening meals when we didn't feel like cooking.
If you are looking for somewhere comfortable, with a pretty swimming beach less than a 5 minute walk away, with a perfect view and genuine privacy this lovely place comes highly recommended.

Perfect!!
What a truly amazing place! Just off the beaten path enough to give you all the privacy you could want, but still close enough.
First the house... Very nice! It is not only beautiful, but built well. Nice attention to detail.
We loved all of the facilities (once we figured out the language on the washing machine!).
The pool was great. Kitchen was great! View was priceless. Loved it... even in the rain.
Great home.
Cherrianne was at the airport to help us get the key and get settled. She was always there when we needed her. She arraigned for a nice meal on the first day and it was delicious. Devon was also very helpful and even brought us coconuts one day and chopped them open for us so we could have the water inside. Terrific on ice when sitting by the pool by the way.
Great service from the Tatou team. Thank you very much
Next the little hotel next door was terrific. Iris was very attentive to our needs and did not have any issue with us being at her place even though we were not staying there. We just told her when we were going to be back next, and she had our table ready for us. Even made adjustments to our likes as we went along. They make a nice drink too for before dinner. Wonderful view!
The area is very much "locals only" that we saw. We did get out and do some sight seeing and drove all the way to the top of the island. Beautiful in many ways. Visited Belmont Estate and had a tour of the farm. Very informative and welcoming. Food was great too.
Also, Peite Anse hotel at the top of the island has a great view and the food was terrific. Nice people too. Really everyone we encountered was happy, nice and helpful.
We also did a short 3 day sail during our trip to some of the islands north of the main Grenada island. Well worth the trip. Very different experience. Great Snorkeling and very peaceful.
All in all we loved this rental. We would love to come again.
Thank you Vikki for being so helpful. You were a pleasure to work with.

Enjoyed Grenada
We enjoyed the island, the house and the local area where we found people to be extremely friendly and helpful.
The house was accurately described, it was spacious, well maintained and appointed with a very pleasant private pool. The management, caretaking and cleaning of the property were all carried out extremely efficiently.
We found it to be an ideal base for exploring the island and is well away from the main tourist area.
The lovely swimming beach is only 200 metres away and generally quiet.
The small, friendly restaurant nearby serves good quality and interesting food in an unpretentious setting. Other eating places are further away involving a car journey although there is the possibility of having a local meal prepared at Tatou House.
We felt that a car was very necessary. There is a good network of local bus services but an uphill 1mile walk to the bus stop can be tiring in the heat. A car also gives greater flexibility to visit areas and attractions more difficult to reach by public transport.
The hilly island covered in lush rainforest is fascinating but do visit the Belmont Estate to see the cocoa plantation and other crops, the River Antoine rum distillery and the nutmeg processing cooperative in Gouyave.
