Beautiful property with plenty of room to stretch out. 4 bedrooms and one large bath upstairs and one bedroom with ensuite bath downstairs. All bedrooms had air conditioning but the main areas did not. There were ceiling fans to help move the air. Although we did not use them, the hosts provided soap, shampoo, dish and clothes soap and plenty of towels. Laundry was available as well. There was an outside pool. Clear communication with owners of the Villa. They made sure we were well informed as to what to expect, not only from the accommodations, but from the island as well. Ursel, the property manager, was very kind and helpful. She answered anytime we called her and helped in any way she could. Bonney, the taxi driver, was available to drive us wherever and whenever we needed to go somewhere. Reasonable on his fees. If Bonney was not able to take us,he made arrangements for us to be picked up by someone he trusted to take us. Bonney made suggestions of places to eat and even made dinner reservations for us one night. He gave us a couple of tours of places that we may not have seen on a commercial tour. I can't say enough about Bonney and Ursel. The purpose for us staying was moving our daughter to SGU. The Villa was about an hour drive from SGU Campus. The distance from SGU was the only downfall to this property. Being so far away, we could not go back and forth from the Villa and ended up only sleeping there. If it had been closer, we could have made meals there and swam.

We stayed in this villa for one week. It’s an oasis of tranquility. Beautiful villa, fully equipped with all that you can think of. View of the ocean and perfect pool with gazebos. The booking, communication with the owner, and follow up questions were all perfect. Very helpful with giving guidance on car rental and arranging taxi upon arrival. Since the island of Grenada is small, you can get to any attraction within 30-40 minutes. There is a beautiful quiet beach with a nice restaurant at just 10 min drive. You should consider this place when you want to stay on Grenada.

This is a lovely property with beautiful gardens and pool. The house was large, clean and well appointed and is quite private. We felt like we were staying in our own private tropical paradise. The owner is very communicative and the local property manager Ursel was great. She’s an excellent cook and will prepare you a delicious Grenadian meal at a reasonable cost. The owner recommended car rental firm Sanvics, was great as was taxi driver Bony who picked us up at the airport and will comfortably take you wherever you want to go. We felt very well taken care of. There’s a beautiful beach La Sagesse less than 15 minutes away where there’s a nice restaurant where you can rent sun lounges for a small fee. We had a wonderful vacation at this property and recommend it highly.

Wonderful villa with all the amenities. Very clean and very comfortable for everyone in our party. Pool was brilliant.
Would highly recommend if looking for a quite off the beat location. Lastly the owners provided detailed information on the villas and surrounding areas of interest!

The pictures don't do this property justice. The home is very spacious and complete with every amenity you need for an authentic vacation in Grenada. John communicated more than any other property owner we have worked with as it is truly their families second home. Scheduling an authentic Grenadian dinner prepared at home with the property manager Ursel is also a must. Be prepared to drive to most beaches and restaurants. I absolutely recommend this property.

This was exactly the quiet retreat that I hoped to experience. I recommend this property to anyone wanting the solace and beauty of the country in a tropical setting. The property is charming and well maintained. There are walking trails along the beautiful coastline. The owners are informative, responsive and thoughtful. The property manager (Ursel) was gracious, responsive and helpful. Despite solid planning, our party of six wasn't as prepared for mosquitoes and other biting insects but the Villa was stocked with additional insect repellent, itch relief and bug spray (soooo appreciated). Of course there are a few hiccups with any experience BUT those instances did not detract. The hiccups: water pressure and water temperature wasn't consistent but we reported it and the matter was addressed in a timely manner. The mattresses throughout are definitely on the firm to extra firm side and may not offer the individual comfort that you expect - a consideration but not a deal breaker. At the end of our week, my informal poll to the vacationing family and friends revealed a happy and positive overall experience.

great holiday
Wonderful property. Lots of space both in the house and outside with everything you could possibly need. Lovely large pool and lots of searing with both sun and shade.
The villa is in a quiet area with lots of birds. We particularly loved the hummingbirds.
Some changes in Grenada post covid but everyone is still friendly and helpful. Some restaurants not yet back but those that are have been great. A great villa.

Week in Grenada
This property was great. Our booking in a hotel had been cancelled at the last minute. John the host was very prompt with communication and getting everything sorted out for us in such a short time. The complimentary driver was superb and was waiting for us at the airport. The housekeeper met us at the property and showed us the facilities. All well presented and very professional.
It is a wonderful villa, very spacious for 6 people. The pool was a real bonus and the view was spectacular to wake up to every day.
You definitely need to rent a car while staying here. Nothing is in walking distance. Although once you’ve mastered the windy roads and the local drivers. Listen for the beeps when they over-take! It was pretty straight forward getting around. Make sure you have a map, just in case you lose your internet and gps signal. The local beach only 15 mins away was a real bonus and the beach restaurant was a hit with my family.
Grenada made us feel very welcome, even if England lost in the test match!!

Our piece of Paradise
This was our 4th visit, which says it all really. The booking process is smooth, and response time for queries is superb.
The house is comfortable, well equipped, and in a beautiful setting. Although Belle Isle may seem a bit off the beaten track, Grenada is a small island, so it is not really far away from anywhere and it's lovely to come back to the peace and quiet after a trip out.
Ursel and Joan look after the guests as if they were family, nothing is too much trouble.
We have our fingers crossed that we will be able to return to 'our house in Grenada' next year

A lovely remote retreat
We had a wonderful week at the Belle Isle Villa. We were two couples and the accommodation was superb and contained all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The gourmet kitchen was well stocked for all meals prepared at the Villa. There were enough towels and the beds were comfortable. We especially appreciated having the beach chairs and towels available for our beach days. The pool was wonderful to come back too after a day of touring Grenada. The garden and yard provided a quiet tranquility and we especially enjoyed picking fresh grapefruit for our breakfasts from the tree on the property. It was a very nice place and very well maintained. We would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in Grenada.
The house is remote so you would need a car. We went to a beach close by recommended to us by the owner called La Sagesse. We went to La Sagesse a few times during our stay and went to the restaurant for lunch and drinks on the beach.
Would highly recommend this home if you desire a peaceful retreat location.
Just a heads up we found the driving in Grenada to be nerve wracking

Beautiful villa in lovely peaceful surroundings
We have just returned home from this lovely light and airy well equipped villa surrounded by wonderful gardens and great pool with beautiful planting and views of the sea. We saw and identified many tropical birds - the binoculars left in the house were much appreciated. Brizane and Bonney gave us a great guided tour on arrival, when they drove us from the airport to the villa, We received a very warm welcome from Fiona the house manager and Joan and Ursul who brought us lemons and fresh mangoes.
The detailed notes from John and Paty about local beaches and restaurants were very helpful. We particularly loved the unspoilt beach and bar/restaurant at La Sagesse - only ten minutes drive away where we spent many happy hours under the palm trees and in the warm sea. We also found other beautiful beaches and did a lovely boat trip with Dive Grenada with some great snorkeling and one of our party did a deep sea dive. One of the many highlights of the trip was a beautiful walk to the waterfalls at St Margarets where we swam in the icy cold pools.

Gorgeous villa 5 star vacation
John & Paty,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. The villa is stunning, beautiful view, magnificent pool and gardens. This was our first visit to Grenada and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the island. A rental car is a must, or hire a driver (both very reasonably priced). Scuba diving was top notch - excellent visibility with untouched reefs. We enjoyed visiting the various beaches, especially enjoyed La Saggase - 5 minutes down the road with a wonderful restaurant/beach bar and returning to the villa at the end of the day to relax by the pool. Amazing stars at night. Every day was 82 degrees with a breeze so we did not experience any issues with bugs at the villa or on the beaches. I would highly recommend this villa to the traveler that is looking for a well maintained luxury home with a beautiful ocean view.

Fabulous Property!!!
This was our second time at the Villa, and just as the first time, we loved every minute of our stay. From the interior, with it's comfortable furniture and well stocked kitchen, to the gorgeous grounds, complete with beautiful flowers and fruit trees, along with amazing views and huge pool, you couldn't ask for more.
The owners are quick to reply to any questions you may have. They provide detailed instructions on all the island has to offer, and instructions regarding the Villa itself, including how to use all the appliances, along with phone numbers to call if anything should go wrong. Transportation is provided from the airport to the Villa, with a stop at a local grocery store on the way, which also helps in starting the ultimate vacation.
All in all, we highly recommend the Villa and are already looking forward to planning our next trip.

Great place with Atlantic views
The Villa at Belle Isle is beautiful, and lavish. Absolutely gorgeous, huge house with everything you might need. Beautifully and comfortably appointed, immaculate. Remarkable gardens. Photos and other positive reviews are all spot-on. We particularly enjoyed hanging out by the pool, and on the second story porch, affording us views into the tree tops of many birds, and of the Atlantic. Quiet, lush, extremely mellow place. Other really nice bonuses for us: cooler, ice packs, yoga mat, pool-safe cups, binoculars, West Indies bird guide, and bluetooth-compatible soundbar (speaker). Not terribly feasible place if you wish to use public transport, as you need to walk up the road about a mile or more to the main road to catch buses. If you are renting a car, as we did, highly recommend you use Google Maps app as that was a godsend to us in navigating to and from the villa and all around the island. Local contact and caretaker Fiona, is very funny and a great help. Housecleaners, pool cleaners, gardeners are all excellent: top notch services and skills and very friendly. A bit frustrating to look at the ocean but not actually have easy access to it, though nearest swimming beach, La Sagesse, a real gem, is about an 8-minute drive away. Initially we were not too keen on having to take a taxi from the airport to the villa, as recommended here by the host, but our time with driver Winston turned out to be a really cool intro to Grenada, and a highlight of our trip. Note: Belle Isle is definitely off the beaten path for tourism, and yet we really enjoyed it, as we ended up exploring most of the island instead of just, say, hovering around Grand Anse Beach and St. George.

Gracious living at its best
I’ve never been so relaxed! Lovely house, lots of room to find a quiet place to read, elegant and comfortable. Especially enjoyed Ursul and Joan, here for the afternoon to tidy up, and Fiona, wealth of good info and stories. A spacious villa in the country on the East Coast of the island.
Our experience started with a complimentary taxi from the airport, who stopped en route so we could buy basic provisions (bread, milk, beer). A warm welcome by the local manager, who was then always contactable and happy to give advice. The weekly help kept the garden tidy and the villa absolutely spotlessly clean. There was an extensive pack of information on island attractions, restaurants, beaches, etc.
The villa has a beautiful garden, with many visiting (resident?) birds: mocking birds, doves, humming birds and others. The swimming pool is a good size. Inside the villa all rooms are large and beautifully furnished. The extensive kitchen equipment all looked new.
Some hints. Take care if you have non-swimming children - the pool is 5 feet deep all over. Remember there is no terrestrial or satellite TV. When using the wooden staircase indoors at night, switch on the lights and hold the banister – we found the colouring of the wooden strips could make us misjudge the step edge.
Don’t let the last paragraph put you off. The villa felt very spacious and luxurious with a great garden and pool. We recommend hiring a car to explore the island attractions, restaurants, to shop at the supermarket, etc. We strongly recommend that you visit Sagesse and Grande Anse beaches, buy local fruits at the roadside stalls, and try the Dodgy Dock restaurant and Umbrellas.

Beautiful Villa
The Villa, gardens and pool are beautiful and well maintained. We were met at the airport by Bonney and we were so glad he drove us to the villa as I’m sure we would never have found it otherwise. Fiona was waiting for us to show us around and tell us how things worked. Fiona was very helpful throughout our stay and went out of her way to find out where the Steel Pan Wizards were playing. They are great too!
A car is absolutely essential but driving is not for the faint hearted.
La Sagesse beach and beach bar/restaurant are very good as is Laura’s beach bar, both for lunch and dinner. They are both within a 15 minute drive.
We did find we spent quite a lot of time driving to the better supermarket, other beaches and restaurants and for us, the villa, amazing as it is, was just a little too far away from the main tourist spot.

Beautiful property and home
The home is lovely and has all the kitchen items that you need to be able prepare meals and enjoy doing so.
The hardwood throughout the home makes it feel very inviting, and we loved being able to open up the patio doors and feel like we were almost living outside during the day.
The driving was a bit intimidating but we got accustomed to it. La Sagesse Beach was about a 15 to 20 minute drive and the beach is not busy, the restaurant food is good, and it is very relaxing.
Laura's at Grenada Marina is another good option for a restaurant within about 20 minutes drive.
We loved buying fresh passion fruit, petite bananas, plantains, papayas, watermelon, etc at the local stands.
It was very reassuring to know that the tap water is safe to drink. Overall, we had a lovely and very relaxing vacation plus we fell in love with the people in Grenada as they are friendly, polite, and helpful.

Beautiful, Well Appointed House!
We loved The Villa! It is a beautiful,well appointed house in a gorgeous setting. We had 4 people staying at the house, so we only used 2 bedrooms - they were both comfortable and fit our needs perfectly. The house had everything we needed for our stay and then some - so much thought has gone into their guests having the best vacation! The pool is well maintained and the yard is amazing. The fruit trees and vegetable garden were such a nice surprise and we used the outdoor / patio areas extensively! Everything in the kitchen is labeled, which is so nice when you are trying to use an unfamiliar kitchen. We really appreciated this extra touch. We ate at Laura's at the Grenada Marina and at La Sagesse Hotel. Both were very nice. We also ate at Carib Sushi and Umbrellas in Grand Anse and loved them too. We used Footloose Yacht Charters and Day Sails for a wonderful day on the water. They were fantastic! Beautiful house and property, very well managed
Our stay at the Villa was great. The directions to the house were very detailed. We were greeted at the house by Fiona who showed us around and happily answered all of our questions. The house is very spacious, nicely decorated, well equipped and was very clean when we arrived. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The owner, John, was very pleasant to deal with, quick to reply and was very well organized.

Perfect vacation spot in secluded location
Beautiful place in quiet location. Perfect for families or groups of friends. House, garden, pool and all equipment are in perfect shape and you will find everything you need for your vacation and then some. Owners have a perfectly detailed process in preparing you for the trip and the complimentary airport pick up is a great way to not have to worry about finding things. Would recommend any day!
Just make sure to make use of the offer to buy groceries on the way in as the availability of grocery stores close to the home is limited. A reasonable selection of foods and beverages only exists in the main hub stores which is a 30 -40 min drive each way!

The Villa is extremely nice. Large enough for a family. Exceptional grounds and the pool was great. Very quiet neighborhood. As pointed out it is remote and you will be best to have a car. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Our most relaxing holiday
We have just spent 3 weeks at The Villa , Belle Isle, Granada and we have returned to the UK with the island spirit - CHILLED!
My wife and I agree its been the best holiday we have had.
The Villa is all that you can wish for and the people we have met who look after you and the villa while you are there have been exemplary in everything they have done.

Exceeded expectations!
Wow! Step inside this amazing villa and you cannot help but be blown away. Extremely spacious and elegant with absolutely everything you will need for a fabulous holiday on the gorgeous island of Grenada.
Complimentary transfer by Bonney was a lovely touch. A great guy, friendly and will stop enroute for you to pick up the basics. Met at the villa by Fiona who welcomed us and showed us around.
Next morning we saw the gardens and pool in glorious sunshine and it proved to be another " wow" moment. The huge garden is really well established with beautiful coloured trees and flowers and affords total privacy. Numerous tropical birds including hummingbirds and butterflies can readily be seen. In fact we spent the majority of the time poolside.
We hired a jeep from Sanvics who delivered to the villa and went to the local beach La Sagesse. Very quiet, calm gently sloping waters with a great bar restaurant. Good for dinner, freshly caught fish daily on menu.
Locals are great! Very friendly and helpful. Local supermarket was great for everything we needed. Alcohol is expensive so stick to the Rum! Reasonably priced.
John the owner was great! Answered all emails immediately and went out of his way to help. After I told him I was totally confined to a wheelchair he bought a set of portable ramps which his wife then took over from the UK for me! I couldn't thank him enough. Pre arrival information pack was amazing, covered absolutely everything.
With regard to the staff ( housekeeping and gardeners ) we arranged beforehand via John to have Althea just once. The gardeners come every Tuesday which was a beach day for us however we met them briefly, again lovely friendly Guys, all unobtrusive.
Love Love Love this place and would have no problem recommending to both couples looking for R&R or families and larger groups. Definitely going to return.

Breautiful house and grounds
Exactly as advertised, except grounds were even more lovely than the photos. Close to two good restaurants and La Sagesse beach which is calm and sheltered. Only issue for us was we drove a lot to get to other restaurants and to the island’s other beaches. Otherwise, a really great place.

Excellent Villa with Exceptional Customer Service!
We had the pleasure of spending a couple weeks in The Villa. The Villa is in excellent shape with all the amenities and luxuries of home. The bed is comfortable, the A/C is cold, the furnishings are modern, the kitchen is well stocked and the pool is surrounded with flowering plants in a very private setting.
On top of all that, the customer service is outstanding. You will receive all the information you need to make your vacation stress free. We opted to only have maid service once but you can arrange maid service any way you desire. The Villa rental experience is top notch and we highly recommend The Villa for privacy and luxury. Be prepared for a ride or a drive outside of the main town but that is where you find this type of serene privacy without distracting noises and a night sky that will amaze you.

Private island paradise
We spent an incredibly relaxing two weeks at John and Paty’s hand-crafted villa. It was wonderful to wake up first thing and swim in such beautiful surroundings; the pool is a perfect size and because the climate is tropical, the temperature was ideal for swimming any time of day or at night under the stars. The house was built as their primary residence, so there was huge attention to quality and detail, which comes through very clearly. The house is built so it enjoys a breeze, but isn’t hit strongly by the local wind gusts, so it is very comfortable to sit outside by the pool, on the first floor terrace or in either of the two wonderful gazebos. They grow local fruits in their extensive garden which guests can eat (starfruit, mangos, papaya etc), plus there is the option of a regular delivery of fresh coconut water. The upstairs bedrooms are all very spacious, airy and light, with comfortable beds.
The villa is in an unexploited part of the Atlantic (east) coast of the island, just over half an hour’s drive from Grand Anse or St George’s. The area has a very authentic Grenadian feel rather than being dominated by expats and American students. The local villagers are friendly, and there is a gorgeous sheltered beach (La Sagesse) less than ten minutes by car.
The kitchen is very well equipped, with two refrigerators and a freezer, so it is ideal for anyone who wants to cook for themselves. There are restaurants nearby at La Sagesse and at Grenada Marine. We took advantage of being on the east coast and visited the Belmont Estate (cocoa, fruit and spice plantation), plus continued north to beautiful Bathway Beach and ultimately to Sauteurs and also Petite Anse. The roads are well maintained and driving was not difficult.

Just got back from 10 days at The Villa in Belle Isle. It is in a quiet peaceful area of a beautiful island.
The villa and it's gardens are exceptionally well looked after and maintained and very well equipped.
Communication with the owners was very easy and they replied so quickly to any questions.
A very relaxing hassle free holiday, we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay on Grenada.
