An idyllic 3weeks
What a beautiful house Tasevi is. From the moment we arrived we were delighted.
Willi ensured we were met on arrival despite the late time.
The house has everything you need for a superb holiday. The quirky bunk bed room is fab for youngsters but we didn't need it as just the two of us.
The view and grounds are second to none and in particular the outside space is just stunning. The pool is wonderful and the area around that superb.
The house itself has everything you need and more. One of the best self catering set ups we have had. No intrusion from reps but when I had a question Willi was quick to respond. He and the team who look after the house were so helpful and friendly.
The location is perfect. You cannot get tired of that view!! Just close enough for easy access to Hisaronu and the quieter Oludeniz. Cheap taxis or Dolmus stop for you at the gate with no problems.
There are several supermarkets nearby for picking up essentials but loads of nice local and more social restaurants and bars that will keep any party happy.
We did a few trips to places of interest. This is a good base for those and the service from any of the tour organisers is excellent. In particular the cable car up Mount Babadag is a 5min walk away and a fabulous experience!!
I cannot recommend this house highly enough and Willi and Team give just the right level of help and attention that leaves you to enjoy his wonderful property with complete privacy at your own pace.
We did not want to come home! I would go back tomorrow!!

Beautiful natural setting
This is a lovely house with a beautiful view. We were there in December and the weather was still quite warm most days, between 65 and 75 F. We didn't rent a car, the taxis are very reasonable, and the beach is within walking distance. We did have a little trouble finding a correct number to call a taxi, so had to walk into town to find one. The only suggestion I would have is that some properties we have stayed at left a lot more information as far as things like that, taxi numbers, public transportation routes etc. It was fun figuring everything out, but we only had a short stay and more information would have been more efficient. Other than that, everything was great!

A fantastic property which delivered on all it's promises. Well positioned, quiet, and beautiful.
Outstanding and we want to come back.

My partner Marina and I have a 34kg baby Akita (Satti) and were looking for a suitable place to stay in Turkey for two winter months.
We both write for a profession and wanted a house with a garden, quiet area and a little bit of a sea view.
Marina found "Taş Evi" (Turkish for Stonehouse) and we discovered heaven on earth.
And the whole package was complemented by dealing with the sincere, generous and very interesting German owner Willi Lenz and his two wonderful local caretakers Ilhan and Mehmet.
Our day always started with a 3-minute drive down the beach and a walk with Satti, a Turkish coffee at the beach cafe, pick up some simits (circular sesame seed bread) and then home to get on with the day.
While mummy and daddy did their work, Satti constantly explored the mystical and magical terraced wood area that is modestly referred to as a garden.
A walk in the garden was to be part of a children's fairytale and watching Satti's never-ending game of "find the squirrel".
And before going back upstairs, some grapefruit would be picked for breakfast.
Many afternoons were spent sitting on the patio watching the tandem paragliders floating down to the beach from Babadag mountain.
The villa is perfectly located for easy access to shopping in Fethiye and easy day trips to sights in the area. But always coming back to Taş Evi was that "aaahhh, we are home" feeling and Satti would be off to find that squirrel.
From Marina, Satti and I thank you, Willi, Ilhan and Mehmet for the 2 months Taş Evi experience. We will be back. Cheers Geoff

Absolutely Wonderful Holiday
We went as a family of 3 (17yr old daughter) and I can honestly say this was one of our best holidays. The house, location, resort and people are truly wonderful.
Willi is helpful, informative and allowed us to stay in his apartment upstairs. We arrived to be welcomed by Ilhan who showed us around and kept the pool and grounds clean and tidy. The fridge had bread, cheese, wine, gorgeous fig jam (I assume made from the fig heavily laden tree by the pool), cherries etc - thanks for that, all lovely.
The location is just perfect, when you're in the house you feel like you're in the middle of a beautiful natural valley with amazing views down to Oludeniz, peaceful and tranquil, we never tired of the surroundings. Walk down your driveway onto the road and within 5 minutes you flag down a bus and 3 minutes later you are either down in Oludeniz or up to Hisaronu.
Oludeniz is smaller and had a great selection of restaurants, extremely good value with great bars along the seafront. We had some super meals and enjoyed strolling along, better still when we found an Italian ice cream parlour. The Jade Terrace Restaurant overlooking the sea was our favourite, with amazing food and service.
Hisaronu is larger, louder and a wonderful place to people watch and grab a bargain. Again packed with restaurants and bars - very different from Oludeniz (which we preferred, but loved the madness of Hiseronu).
The Turkish people are really wonderful, so friendly and welcoming, we had no worries whatsoever and felt completely comfortable and safe at all times. There are so many things to see and do, and incredible value for money - which we found so refreshing. We did paragliding (scary but a must and so glad we all did it), quad biking, river boat trip, sunset boat trip, 12 Island Yacht Trip (8.15am-6.15pm, beautiful boat, stopping at 6 islands for a swim, BBQ fish/chicken lunch - £14!!!!), gorge walking (the next down size wise from the Grand Canyon) literally etc etc
The house is beautiful, with excellent facilities and the pool great to cool down. You can wander into the boutique hotel above for a burger and a drink if you just want to chill.
I cannot recommend this place enough and am so glad we went. It's the first place my husband has ever wanted to go back to! Thank you Willi x

third time in Tas Evi, and still our favorite place to stay in this area! The combination of a private home, with view and pool, and yet still close to the lively places of oludeniz and hisaronu, is perfect!! Owner Willy and his friend Ilhan know how to make you feel welcome!! Will return for sure!!

This was my second visit to Tasevi, what a beautiful relaxing week. An idyllic location away from the hustle and bustle but just a cab/dolmus ride into town. Up the hill to Hisaronau or Down to Olu Deniz. The owner had generously provided us with fruit, wine and breakfast. The pool was maintained and the grounds were kept clean. There are various restaurants within easy reach and a few Azdas if you prefer to eat in. We had many enjoyable meals, the best being a curry in Hisaronau. Daily boat excursions are readily available from Olu Deniz beach for a mere £10 which includes lunch. I hope to be able to return to Tazevi next year for another escape from the rat race!!

First day - I opened my eyes to the sensuous bedroom,. Then tiptoeing through the cool Turkish style villa to the outside terrace, to enjoy the breath taking views. Set on a hillside, next to a national park, the villa faces down to the resort and sea, I sat content and happy taking on the gorgeous view and watching the Para gliders until my family awoke. Once awake we all enjoyed the delicious breakfast left for us by the owners whist sitting on the terrace. We then spent most of the day in the gorgeous pool, sunbathing & relaxing in hammocks. Perfect. We ventured out in the evening, we having a choice of 2 nearby resorts both within a 15/20 minutes walk away or easily accessed by taxi or the local bus which ran close by the house. Both resorts having plenty of choice of bars and restaurants. We returned back to the house and again sat on the terrace , opened the wine the owners had kindly left for us and taking in the night views. Discussing what we could do during our stay, a trip to the colourful market of Fethiye , a visit to the ghost village of kaya, take a boat trip to butterfly valley, maybe one of Oludeniz stunning beaches, visiting the vibrant bazaar of Fethiye relaxed days lazing around the pool and so much more to activities/ days out to choose. Our perfect family holiday had begun, everyday as special as the next. We count the days until our return next year.

We have just returned from a nine night stay at TasEvi. This was our second stay here, and once again we had an incredible holiday. The property is charming, with lots of outside spaces to chill out and enjoy the sunshine (hammocks, swinging chairs... and not to mention the large private pool, with plenty of sun loungers!) As commented on in previous reviews, the location of this house is unbeatable! As you sit on the veranda you have an uninterrupted view straight down the valley, with greenery and flowers all around, paragliders in the sky, to the blue sea and town of Oludeniz below. It was wonderful just sitting and listening to the sounds of all the wildlife around, and taking in the magnificent view. The hosts- Willi, Molly and Leon were wonderful! Going out of their way to ensure our holiday was everything we could wish for. We were even lucky enough to experience Molly's delicious cooking, and take home some of her excellent homemade fig jam!One of our holiday highlights was watching turtles swimming alongside our pedalo in the blue lagoon - absolutely mesmerizing! The town of Oludeniz itself is full of bars and restaurants, with rooftop seating along the seafront, giving beautiful views whilst dining. The quality of food and service is also excellent. There are plenty of different excursions and trips to book, and travelling about is easy with cheap and frequent dolmus' (minibuses), or between four a taxi is often the same price (these too are easily flagged down).Missing it already....... We will certainly return again!!

Wonderful house with stunning view
We just returned from a great holiday in TasEvi. The villa is absolutely wonderful and offers total comfort and privacy. There is a great pool where you can swim and relax. The housekeeper, which we didn't see a lot, takes good care of the garden and the pool. The village of Oludeniz itself is very crowded and there's a lot of noise from all the (karaoke) bars. However, when you are in the house it all seems far away and we will definitely recommend this place to everyone!! There are a lot of nice things to do/see. We loved the peacefull village and beautifull surroundings of Kabak. Kayakoy and the Patara beach are worth visiting as well. The gorges of Saklikent are amazing and paragliding was to us a once in a lifetime experience!!! We rented a car but it was not really necessary as the dolmus minibuses take you everywhere. Only when you intend to make a lot of excursions we would advice to rent a car. We had a great time in TasEvi and will certainly reconsider going there once again.

Simply Amazing
What a fantastic house. The views are simply amazing. The location is perfect and within walking distance to Olu Denzi. However I advise taking the minibuses, which come every 5 minutes just outside the house or outside hotel Manzara just below. They will take you to Hisoranu, Fetiye and Olu Deniz.
The house was beautiful and very well kept. There was welcome food upon arrival, which was a lovely surprise. The pool and outside are cleaned reguarly by Ilhan, who comes very early in the morning, as we never saw him.
The restaurants in Olu Deniz, Hisoranu and Fetiye cater for every cuisine you can think of. Every meal we had was great and the service is super.
We can not wait to return to this wonderful house. It was a fantastic holiday, just not long enough.
Thanks you Willi

We want to return to the house as soon as possible as it was such an amazing holiday.

Beautiful spot
We had a fantastic week at Willi's beautiful house in Oludeniz. The house is in an incredible setting and very well equipped. The house is close to the resort centre but walking down the main road is slightly dangerous so we used the mini buses. The mini buses are excellent and run into Olu Deniz and all the way to Fetihe and are very cheap so you can manage easily without a car.
The pool is beautiful and the terrace looks out over the sea.
Willi organised a taxi for us from the airport which worked wonderfully, and provided us with a lovely welcome pack!
If you don't feel like cooking Oludeniz has many restaurants to offer.
Would definitely return to Tasevi - a very relaxing and breathtaking spot!

Haven above Oludeniz
We have just spent a very relaxing week at Tavezi. This is a delightful spot in the hills above Oludeniz. The villa on the website was full and the owner kindly lent us their apartment upstairs. This is lovely, the view is fantastic and the whole place is relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed the pool which is fabulous, and the proximity to the town without being in it. Getting up and down the hill was tricky at first, until we mastered the mini bus system. That done we were fine. It would be expensive if there were six of you thogh, so a taxi might work better. The villa has everything you would want from a traditional rustic cottage, it isn't shiney and modern but everything works and the people from Nice Car Rentals who collected us from the airport where great, as was Ilham who looks after the pool and garden. Altogether a great place.
Many thanks for a lovely holiday.

Lovely getaway!
It was a very very pleasant stay at the Tas Evi (Stone House). I've grasping for the right words, here, it was a stupendous stay. The view Tas Evi offers is incredible, the oludeniz beach visible and the enclosing mountains within view--laced with endless colourful flowers and tree's, enriching your sight and dallying your sense of smell. I particularly enjoyed breakfast overlooking this marvellous view. The pool was also great and very private :) a nice relief for the summer heat.
The care takers ilhan and his wife were also extremely kind and helpful--though bear in mind they only speak Turkish, so you will have to either have mobile-dictionary handy or be a charades master.
House is clean, and the caretakers ensure that its always looking as fresh as when you got there. Kitchen features everything you generally need to cook and eat there, you may have to grab a few spices from local shops if needed. Bedroom isn't amazing but very comfortable and doors have mosquito netting so you can definitely keep the mosquitoes at bay if you are careful. The living room, is nice, not as cozy as I would prefer, very traditional looking indeed, and in many ways looks like it stuck in the 70's/80's--which can be nice depending on your tastes--my only qualm is with the fact that the TV is very old and small and the satellites channels are catered to Germans viewers.
You can definitely make your way around oludeniz comfortably using the dolomus buses which stop just outside of the property. I recommend arranging a ride, taxi or otherwise, for the trip to and from the Airport--because it after a flight you tend to be tired and just want to reach your Tas Evi and rest.
The most negative aspect, was the 'Jacuzzi'--if it can be regarded as such--its really just a tub of cold cold water. The pump barely worked and even after the caretakers attempts to fix it and if you were expecting a hot jacuzzi or even a really really cold one that bubbles then you are in for a stark disappointment. So perhaps discount the Jacuzzi from the list of features--now IF it was a functioning hot/warm jacuzzi, well then I think it would have been amazing because it was so nicely fitted into the property surrounded by tree's and stone decorations.
Plenty of local resteraunts at affordable prices in fethehiya ---tasty turkish dishes :) if you don't feel like cooking, maaay activities from tourist agencies who will conveniently pick you up from home.
Totally recommended!

????????????? ?????!!! Want to come back to Tasevi
We lived in this beautiful villa in June 2011 and memories about this stay keep us warm during frosty Russian winter 2012. We pass our regards to the most hospitable family - Willy, Molly and Leon! Thank you again for the great time we had in your house. It has a great location with beautiful sea view and real nature around. It is convenient to rent a car to be more flexible and travel to Fethie market and Koyakoy, otherwise it is also possible to take public transportation which is easy to find and which goes by regularly to all required destinations. We stayed there with 1 year old baby and I can tell that baby food and pharmacy and hospital were not a problem to find when needed and personnel is very professional and available day and night. We used swimming pool a lot when the sun was too hot to go to the beach. The house has a unique location, there is always breeze and shade during hot days. I really liked the way Willi planned and constructed his villa and how all functions are thought through with love and detail. There is everything you need. Really looking forward to coming back again, we will try fall 2012)) Anna Grisha, and Demyan

A beautiful and very very very special home
We have just returned from a fantastic week in this property. The location is idillic, peaceful and magical. The pool is amazing and the scenery fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything better.
The owner was very helpful and arranged the taxi transfer and vehicle for our stay from 'Nice car rental' the people there lived up to their name and were very 'nice' and extremely helpful when we decided to change from a scooter to a car and then again to a Jeep.
Upon our arrival We were pleasantly suprised to find a welcoming bottle of wine and a fridge stocked with our first breakfast. Many hours were spent on the terrace watching the paragliders, until eventually I decided to give it a go.............. What An experience!
The weather in September was beautiful, Turkey is a lovely Country, and the people we met were very friendly. Our stay and this Villa completed the perfect holiday and we hope to be able to return some time soon.

The best welcome ever
The property proved to be just as good as the photos suggested - beautiful views, clean, spacious and well-equipped. The outside areas were especially good, with seating and shady nooks which just had to be tested out and enjoyed! What couldn't show on the website was the delightful welcome we received from owners Willi and Molly, who did everything in their power to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible, but didn't intrude in the least.
The pool was warm, surrounded by lovely recliners, sun brollies and gardens. The cool pool (according to Willi, the 'British' pool!) was just what was needed to cool down when temperatures got a bit too hot.
The location of the property, up the hill from Oludeniz, benefited from slight breezes and complete privacy.
If you want to stay in the Oludeniz area, I can't think of anywhere better.

We stayed here for a week in July 2011 with our 15 year old son. We were looking for a special place to stay away from mass tourism and where we could enjoy a relaxed holiday in an authentic setting..... and that's exactly what we found at Tasevi. The house has been sympathetically designed and built by the owner, with lots of areas in the grounds to explore, seek shade or sun, swim, and spot wild life; we saw gekkos, lizards, red squirrels, jays and dragonflies. There are hammocks and loungers dotted around the property so that you can relax from every vantage point possible! The views are stunning. Watching the para-gliders descend from Baba Dag mountain, manoeuvre the thermals and land in Olu Deniz beach was mesmerising although we didn't try this ourselves!
This beautiful stone house is clean, cool (air-conditioning in the bedrooms if needed) and very well equipped- orange juicer, coffee-maker etc. Marble floors and pristine white walls give a contemporary feel, while the Turkish rugs, cushions and artefacts add detail and interest. The owners, Willi and Molly, were unassuming and kind. On their advice we chartered a private boat to sail around the coast- (wonderful), sampled chocolate/banana gozleme (Turkish pancakes) at Calis and Fethiye markets, and enjoyed home-made fig jam for breakfast.
Although we were content to enjoy the views and beautiful pool, there are many trips and excursions available; gorge walking in Saklikent, paragliding, jeep safari and all sorts of water sports. A car is not essential, but we found it very convenient to have one.

indeed a special house
This is a really nice house in a secluded area. It is well-equipped, almost perfect holiday house. Owner of the house is very helpful from the very first day.
The breakfast at the terrace with a gorgeous scenery is precious.
It has a very nice pool for days too hot to go to the beach.
The house has a little garden with lots of flowers and trees which makes it even more cosy. In rather cool evenings, sitting at the balcony overlooking Oludeniz, listening to crickets makes you really feel like you're on holiday.
Overall this is an indeed a very special house for those who want to have a cosy and comfortable holiday.
