My son went for his Liverpool Game and stayed for the night. Carmela took really great care and made his stay very safe and comfortable. She even put some English gums in his room. He will definitely consider staying with her another time.

Cute, handy, helpful touches like kitchen access, milk, cereals, washing hangup in the little yard, electric blanket (which we actually needed as got cold and wet feet from rain that evening).

Location is perfect for a layover near the airport. Some nice restaurants right around the corner on Penny Lane and a huge park one block away.

Really noisy room, flooring, neighbors, other guests. Everything just felt outdated and not that clean. Bed had lots of cat hairs in it. Never seen the host, so can't say anything about them. Somewhat of a hassle to keep locking every door (as requested by host) with single keys. Bed not very comfortable, blanket suitable for really cold weather, but not at all for the current heat. Overall a little disappointing.

Breakfast was enough for me and I had to make it.

Host was informative, everything was clear and easy, facilities were absolutely fine for a one night stay. Our stay was a breeze!

Bathroom not cleared out of hair by previous user, although hardly a complaint from me as I didn't need to use; just an observation.

House was near to Wavertree park which was good for our needs. Parking was good. Bedrooms were clean and a good size

I booked and paid £330 for one night for three double rooms for 6 ladies, which we got, but I really didn't think we would be sharing with the owner and her partner. Not cheap by any means. Found it extremely strange that the owner and her partner were still living in the front room. Seemed odd that we were using the kitchen and bathroom and dodging the owner at the same time. Bathroom needs attention, it's not pleasant at all. Kitchen so small and not really clean. Nowhere at all to sit to eat and drink. Breakfast may have been provided but no area to eat it so we didn't bother. The photos on your site do the house justice, very cleaver photography skills

Lovely friendly host and it was very quiet in a nice location. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. All in all its excellent value for money.

Bathroom needs some TLC but it was adequate for what I need.

Great hostess. She was quite friendly as she really is inviting you into her home.

Limited parking. Once I procured the parking spot directly in front of her property, I was reluctant to move my car for fear that I wouldn’t find an appropriate parking spot later.

Real 'home away from home' experience, Comfy bed, great host, access to kitchen and really nice tea and coffee facilities beyond the typical. The courtyard was nice to read at the end of the day and proximity to mystery park and the facilities on Allerton Road/Smithdown Road are great. Easy bus routes into Liverpool or out to the airport. At the price not sure you could do better.

The bedrooms were good, with everything you could need.

There was an overwhelming chemical smell throughout, which one of our group says was TCP. The bathroom is badly in need of a total renovation as many tiles were broken, grouting and sealant missing. The kitchen was bizarre - we didn't know if the food in the cupboards was for our breakfast, but one slice of white bread between five of us was beyond inadequate. Likewise two kitchen stools - for a booking of five. The tea towel looked like a floor cloth.

it was convenient

i knew there were rules but I found the reminders of them and the ‘ don’t slam the door ‘ signs too much. i also looks forward to a bath after my long day but was instructed via the rules on arrival that the bath was out of bounds.

Carmel was lovely :) Great location - quick bus journey away from the city centre. Had tea making facilities in the room. Had access to kitchen to make breakfast and other meals if wished to do so. Shared bathroom was lovely too. lovely little place to stay. Gerard the cat was a delight too.

Walls are very thin so woke up when one guest was being loud. Bathroom could do with some paint and radiator paint too:)
