Good property, owner fixed some issues while we were there in a timely manner. Kitchen equipped with everything you would need to cook with. Two recommendations: 1) Two trash cans are not enough for a house that can have up to 12 people for a week. (I live with 4 kids and have 2 full cans for a week). 2) Open up the covered boat dock for people to acutally use instead of having a boat docked there (this was fully disclosed in write up).

The house is beautiful, plenty of room for 6. The dock and lake were great! Just know there are many many many stairs. But we all did just fine. Very near stores/restaurants - but we hung out in the water every day and just enjoyed relaxing. Thank you for letting us use your home. We loved it!

Easy drive to home. The sky opened and a downpour followed. Surprised to find the water coming in from the front window and running out of the ceiling in the lower level in front of the bar. Had to keep our large cooler there and a towel in front of the window draining into a towel to absorb the water. Called the owner. He was aware and planned to get it fixed after the season. The last sections of steps (97) had a rope as a hand rail rather than a solid hand rail. This was hard for our older adults. Likewise,the upstairs king size bed was so high off the floor, my husband was unable to get in and out of it. We did use the bed on the lower level, but the couple that slept in the upper level bed had problems getting in and out. Maybe a small step stool would help. The Murphy bed did not have a top sheet when we made it up. Overall , the kitchen was well stocked although a better can opener would be nice. The two refrigerators were great. Enjoyed the deck with tiki bar as well as the fire pit. We had a great time on our vacation. We did come early August which is towards the end of the summer season. I feel that some of our problems may have been results of the home being used all season. I did contact the owner before our trip both by phone and e-mail and he was very gracious and helpful answering all my questions.

As with most places in the area, the home has quite a climb from water to home. It was intense at first but toward the end of the week it you just got accustomed to the extreme workout. The inside of the home also has quite a bit of stairs. If anyone in your party has mobility issues, this isn't the place. Positives: the home is beautiful! The game room area was fun to use. The surroundings were breathtaking. However if you want privacy, it might be hit or miss. At the end of our stay, a rowdy group arrived next door which got a little loud. Only one suggestion, please provide better fitting sheets. They were so ill fitting we ended up sleeping on mattress pad by morning. We fought with it the whole week. The sheets situation was the only reason it got a 4 out of 5 stars.

The house fit the 8 of us well, bunk room was great for kids. Downstairs game area was a hit also. There are a lot of steps to the dock but we are used to that on Norris. Great trip overall and Larry was easy to work with and get ahold of on the couple minor issues we ran across.

Our stay was a week with three families. 3 children (4-10) and 6 adults. The house was beautiful! there was plenty of space for everyone ! Location was perfect . Great communication with Larry and Stephanie! We plan on booking this home again for our yearly Norris trip!

Our large family had a great time at this property on the lake. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Plenty of space for all of us. The location was good as it was near the grocery store, gas station and a couple of marinas. Be sure to check out Bubba Brews while you are there. The one small problem we had was there were not enough sheets and towels upon arrival for our large family, but that was quickly remedied within a couple of hours with a quick call to Larry and Stephanie. Larry and Stephanie were great to work with. A couple of questions I had before we went to the property were answered quickly and we were very pleased with that. The only thing I would say about the property that someone would need to be aware of would be that it sits pretty high up above the lake and requires quite a few steep steps to get to and from the dock. This would not be a problem for most people, but if elderly people were visiting, it might pose an issue. However, there are a few places along the steps where someone would be able to rest if needed. Overall, we would definitely recommend this property to anyone with a large family looking for a great vacation on the lake! Thanks again Larry and Stephanie for allowing us to visit your home!

House and dock was fantastic for 2 families with kids, plenty of room to spread out and a great game room. A couple things to note: there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer until available in the downstairs bathroom, not 2. Also, the 4th bedroom is not a room, my son was ok sleeping there but it is just a Murphy bed in the middle of downstairs, there is no privacy or way to close this off from the other bedrooms. I'd also recommend bringing a fan, there are no ceiling fans and the bedrooms get incredibly hot during the day with the motion sense thermostats.

This property was overall a pleasant experience. The location was great especially near Bubba Brews and other marinas. The house had ample space for our family of 8 and plenty of games for the younger ones. The few challenges of our vacation would be not knowing the steepness of the driveway as we had our truck and boat connected on the way up, and a few parts of the house that were not kept up as far as cleanliness goes- cabinets with pans and Cobb webs here and there. One last thing is the outside light on the back deck did not work so it made it hard to see at night. Overall good experience, we would stay again. The umbrella on the outside deck was broke .

The place where the house is located is nice, 4 cars can park next to the house. This house has 3 bedrooms, not 4. The bathroom on the 1st floor was the only bathroom where you could lock the door, but the tub in that bathroom was clogged. There was no toilet paper in either bathroom. There were only 5 garbage bags. The bathtub on the 2nd floor was huge but we couldn't use it because the water was leaking from the ceiling in the kitchen when we filled the bathtub. Games room is nice kids had a nice time deck is nice too with a nice view of the lake We were not satisfied with the stay as the description didn't match the the condition of the house and all the flaws. Wouldn't recommend staying here especially not for that price.

The house was very nice and the location was great. The views and lake were spectacular. The interior was very spacious and the rooms were all big enough to hold 2 adults and kids in each room. Would have been 5 stars but for a couple things. The paddle boat was left in the lake by the previous tenant so it was full of dirty rain water and we couldn't use it. It was a little dirty in some rooms, like the crew was in a hurry and the shower in the bunk room had a super slow drain. A bit of TLC and updates would make this an easy 5 star. Would stay again if we had the option.

Long time friend trip and we had this property booked for awhile. The hosts were available to answer questions promptly. Great location! Although we had a few snags along the way we enjoyed our stay. My recommendation is to go into detail about the septic to renters for those who are unaware how that type of plumbing works and also provide the code for the thermostat so the renters will be able to adjust it as they please. We loved the game room and enjoyed the deck/fire pit! Overall great time and we appreciate the kindness of the host.

Great location on Norris lake! Lots of space so never felt on top of others in the house. 4 bathrooms a huge plus. Kids room beds (bunks) were the most comfortable. Both king size beds very firm/hard mattresses. Lots of stairs! Not a problem at all. Just be prepared from dock to door is a climb. Beautiful view. Great outdoor space on deck and fire pit. We truly enjoyed our time here

The property was great, it looks exactly like it was presented online. There was ample room for 6 adults, loved having 2 refrigerators and plenty of extra amenities. The dock is located in a quiet cove which was perfect for hanging out and swimming. The Beach Island marina was right around the corner and made it easy to rent from. Overall it was a great place to stay and would recommend it for anyone looking to make some fun memories!

We recently stayed here for a week long boating vacation. It was two families of 5, with 4 adults and 6 kids ages 5-13. Check in process was easy, instructions were well communicated, and house was as described. We had a great week, but were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Upon arrival, we noticed ants in the downstairs master. There were no sprays in the house, so we purchased ant traps and spray ourselves. After a few days, we discovered the problem when my husband stepped on a half eaten chocolate chip cookie left on the rug in the bedroom (it blended in with the dark colored patterned rug). So clearly the house wasn’t vacuumed prior to our arrival. Upon further inspection, there were candy and cheese stuck wrappers under the bed as well. The other problem we had with bugs was in the dining room. Multiple mornings we woke up to a large number of dead bugs (unsure what kind) all around the windows in the dining room. We did sweep daily, but it would have been nice to have had access to a vacuum. The only other minor issues were that the shower in the laundry bathroom leaked and there wasn’t enough silverware for the allotted number of guests (less than 10 forks) which made eating meals together difficult. We would rent again because overall it was a nice house and we liked the location. The beds were clean and comfortable, deck had ample seating, and dock allowed for securing our pontoon (launch and trailer storage at Turkey’s was close and easy). Hopefully the cleaning crew can improve their process.

House was great, location was great. Don’t let the driveway scare you. So much to do and see on and off the lake. The family thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Boat ramp and trailer storage was easy and inexpensive. Bubba Brews is close and excellent. House was nice, cove was neat, lake was amazing.The only issue was hot water for showers. You could only have one person in a shower at a time.

We enjoyed our stay at Norris Lake. The view was breathtaking and the home was lovely. Fantastic week. Fourth bedroom is not private. There was a Murphy bed and. Trundle bed but doubled as a family room. Beds were very comfortable and deck was wonderful with plenty of outdoor seating.

Property was beautiful but house was not very clean cobwebs in doorways and on baseboards, chairs at bar in basement were broken (not safe to sit in) checker board chairs need some work (legs were very loose). House cleaning needs to dust under furniture and beds.

Owners even provided the basics to get you started like paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap, etc. It was nice not having to run immediately to the store to grab basics. Again, starter so don’t expect a stockpile. I promise you, everything you need to cook is here including crockpot, starter veg oil, colander, mini food chopper, cookie sheet, pizza pan, spatulas, tongs, serving spoons, dishes, silverware, skillets, etc... Views were amazing! I was blessed to have my adult children with me. We made priceless memories at this gorgeous and clean house. Driveway is a bit steep coming in, but the driveway in front of garage is flat to make loading/unloading easy. We brought our own corn hole set and played on the flat driveway. We swam off the dock. There is a great secure ladder to get in and out easily. We never used the paddle boat provided....just too busy swimming and boating. We rented a pontoon. Owner allowed us to dock it there, where they have their boat, it worked out great! No issues, very grateful. Location is so close to Beach Island Marina which has boat rentals and Bubba Brew’s bar and grill (family friendly). I have a son in the military so getting us all together was a bit tricky, but getting to spend time with our family in this great house was priceless!!!!The only things we would have wanted or would recommend (won’t keep us from booking again)1)hot tub—neighboring houses had them 2)cornhole —-not everyone’s game but we love it! 3)better handrail on stairs—-part of it had a rope for the handle....but not a huge issue. May have been a temporary fix until they got handy an there. Highly recommend this house and these owners. Thanks again for the wonderful memories!!!! Sherri

We enjoyed our trip and the lake home on Norris Lake. Great family quality time spent in the well equipped and spacious home. Perfect for all ages.

This place is awesome. The pictures don't do the updates due justice. This place is like a bed and breakfast modern hotel. A mix of historical wood fixtures with up to date furnishings. The view of the lake especially in the morning is breath taking. Only thing missing is a hot tub on the back deck. If you want a lake house on the hill that overlooks the lake and mountains this house doesn't disappoint. The owner was available for all my questions so there were no issues. I will be back.
