We really enjoyed our nine days in the house. Extra plus for great pool area, friendly owners and large private property with bakery, small supermarket and a couple of restaurants within short walking distance.

Wonderful week in Selva!
Nice house with amazing view, garden and pool! The kids were in the pool for hours.
You must have a car if you want to go to the sea or the mountins.

We had a very pleasant holiday at this unique place with lemon trees growing next to the pool. We will definitely come back and thank you very much to the very kind and supportive hosts.

We spent 12 hot days in july in this lovely house on the edge of the village Selva. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids, aged 3 and 8 months.
The house is fantastic, even better than in the images. Everything was super clean on arrival, and all nessesaties were there, including a solid selction of pots and pans.
The pool is huge, and very well temperatured so that it is neither too hot or to cold, but perfect for cooling down and for playing. The view is spectacular, and even better than in the photos. The outdoor area in general is really nice with lots of flowers and plants.
Other things that stood out:
Super private, you are completely undisturbed and have total privacy. Yet you are just on the edge of town so you have a short 5 minute walk to the small supermarket in town. Very convenient.
We loved that there were several different shaded areas, especially the area by the pool is brilliant, as it allows you to hang out in the shade but be close by the pool. A must in the summer when traveling with kids. The large seated area by the BBQ was cosy and great spot for family dinners.
Lovely hosts that was welcoming on arrival and who was even accomodating when asked if a later check-out was possible.
We very much hope to be back there in the next couple of years as this was a fantastic house to spend out holiday in.

Spent 10 days in this lovely villa at the start of September - 4 adults and 2 young kids. The location is perfect - open expansive countryside views on one side of the house, and nestled into a small town on the other, so you really do get the best of both worlds: quiet, private and peaceful on the open side of the house, and a few minutes walk to the amenities of the village on the other side - which was one of the reasons we chose this place. The house itself is really nice - as others have said - and was perfect for our needs. We didn't actually make use of the lounge once during our stay because the habit just became sitting out on the terraced areas or round the pool for dinner / drinks in the evening. The kids loved the pool whose orientation is great - not an infinity pool but the way it's built almost feels like it - you can reach out and touch the lemon trees as you swim up and down. Bliss! Location on the island was also ideal - easily accessible to all the places we wanted to visit - no trips for us more than 45 minutes drive - but in a peaceful town in the foothills of the mountains and a taste of Mallorcan life - not many tourists like us around the town, it seemed, compared to the intensive coastal areas a short drive away. Inca very close with all the larger shops you could want. Blessed with unseasonally hot weather so really made the most of the outdoor living the house offers. Wonderful stay and extremely helpful and welcoming host. Gracias Monserrate!

We had a great stay at Es Molinet in Selva; we were greeted by the owners on arrival who provided us with sufficient information such that our stay was enjoyable. The owners took their leave fairly quickly after showing us round and checked on our stay through text / 1 visit during our stay, which was ideal. The villa was very clean with everything working as it should - the electronic gates and external lighting providing an additional sense of security while being a little out of the way, but still attached to the main village. Air con and internet access was available while the villa still maintained its traditional style, highlights for us all were the pool, table tennis and grounds containing lemon, lime, fig, almond, pear, pomegranate trees. Wildlife aplenty with hoopoes and kites along with more traditional residents. We had a car for the duration of our stay which was to suit us - it may not be a requirement for everyone, as most nights were spent in Selva which has a couple of good eateries and quiet places for a drink before returning to relax by the pool for a night cap & take in the last of the ambience. There is a supermarket, bike hire and pharmacy within a couple of minutes walk. It's worth taking a shortcut (as the crow flies) to the church at the top of the village and taking in some of the beautiful streets and residencies.
We were a family of 5 and the house suited us perfectly - really the pictures on the site do not do the house, pool or the views justice - it is superb. Ample seating outside for relaxing or dining while making great use of the views - we' would highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a spot relaxation.

Just returned after spending 10 days in Selva with our 2 boys (13 & 16yrs). A great villa for the outdoor living we craved. With the pool......perfect size for us to have fun in and also relax, the BBQ area where we enjoyed numerous meals and the porch area where we relaxed in the evenings reading on the rocking chairs or playing cards around the table. Great views across the valley/orchards during the day to enjoy and come the evening sitting under the night sky star gazing.
We made good use of the table tennis and basketball hoop in the cooler parts of the day. There were bikes to use but we didn't take advatage of these as temps were a bit too hot for us.
The villa is lovely, furnished as you'd expect for a holiday home. Beds were not the comfiest but they never are compared to the ones you leave behind at home so took a couple of nights to get used to. AC available which we used some nights to cool the bedrooms. Bathrooms all nice and airy with instant hot water.
Selva itself is lovely with some great little streets to explore leading up to the church and square. We had some great meals at the local restaurants all within walking distance. Miceli, Es Forn Cafe and Foc I Caliu all highly recommended. Thank you to Monserrate for helping us get a table at Miceli. There is a bakery and 2 small supermarkets within 5 mins walking distance which we made use of. If you want to experience the Spanish way of life this is the place to do it.
Great loaction as only 30 mins from Palma to the south and 35 mins away from Alcudia, Pollensa to the north and minutes away from some interesting drives in the mountains.
Was great talking to Monserrate and his wife in my broken Spanish. They made us very welcome and gave us some great tips of where to go. Nothing was ever to much for them and was great to be able to get hold of them if needed or for advice.
Remember if we win the lottey we'll be back to make an offer :)
Gracias a ambos por todo y hasta luego amigos :)

We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every moment. House is really nice, has beautiful open views and huge field as a backyard. It's full of olive and lemon trees and is well kept. Pool was very clean and big enough for all four of us to swim. Pool area and whole yard is also really nice and secluded. No neighbours are overlooking. Selva is also nice old Spanish hill top village with all needed basic services and few excellent Michelin level restaurants. They are in walking distance. There's also great shopping streets in Inca few km's away. This is excellent location for cycling, there are great flat roads in south, east and west and of course the mountains right there at north. Selva has two bicycle rental places, we used Ross's and were really happy with the bikes. Overall fully recommended!

We had a wonderful time in this old house in Selva, witch is very nicely renovated, very clean and with the most beautiful wiew over the valley and the lemontrees and a big nice pool. Our hosts were very welcoming and relaxed, they just wanted us to enjoy ourselves, - and we did.
The days passed by spending hours in the pool, making lemonade from the lemons that we were offered, walking a small distance and drinking coffee in the historic village - witch also had som nice restaurants (but don't go to Es Park, take one of the others!) - making great dinners in the perfect outdoor-grillplace, listening to the bells from the lambs walking nearby and the small spring that provides the carps with water in the pond, looking at the flourishing garden ... Well this is not a place where you won't enjoy yourselves. It was just a perfect holiday for us and our children.

We stayed for one week in July 2018 and had a great stay. The house is beautiful situated in Selva close to Inca. Very nice pool with clean water and good size and depth for swimming and having fun. Nice quiet surroundings in Selva with local life. Very good bakery 200 meter away and supermarket 400 meter from the house. The house is gently renovated 12 years ago with 3 rooms, nice bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen with everything needed for making nice food. The house was clean and the garden and terraces were fine with good sun beds, lounge furniture and a two wonderful haciendas and a grillarea for barbecue. The owners of the the house were very helpful and kind in all matters. The only thing that you must be aware of is the beds, which are short(190 cm) and two of them makes noice, when you move. The mattresses are ok. Overall it doesn’t matter because the house, garden and surroundings are absolutely fantastic. We look forward to visiting again. In Selva there are nice restaurants and especially Miceli is worth a visit for adults. 7 course gourmetmenu for 5 persons including wine and aperitif was 295 Euro. Great value for money, good service and exceptional food with nice tastes.

The whole holiday was great from start to finish. The house is located on the edge of Selva, with great walking access to the local shops and restaurants. The house itself is as pictured. It has all the necessary kitchen equipment for a holiday house as well as a dishwasher and laundry facilities. We got the AC added but it is not necessary every night, the house is very cool and airy. You will never get tired of the view, and we spent many a night BBQing and just appreciating the silence enjoying a drink. There's plenty of room to entertain or just enjoy with your partner. During the day you are well located for hiking and biking, and its only 30 minutes drive to Palma or likewise the north coast, and you have the pool to come back to! The owners were very respectful of our privacy. We had the house for a month, and they would visit once a week to water the grounds and check the pool. We made use of the cleaner who was very reasonable and changed the linens and cleaned all the communal areas. We would defiantly recommend this property! Thank you.

When we arrived at Monserrate's house we knew we had lucked out. It is much better than the photos make out. The house was really clean, but it is the setting that makes it so special. Monserrate and his family welcomed us when we arrived and were really helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We went with our 2 kids - 6 and 9, as well as gran (80!). The layout of the house really suited us. Being walking distance of a cafe/bar and shops was a bonus. As we live and work in London this was just what we were looking for - a peaceful retreat to hang out and chill out. For the price we think it provided everything you need and more. We agree about the double bed upstairs - but got used to it! That is the only thing we would change. We would highly recommend this beautiful house and surroundings.

We paid €1500 for last week and our family of four (2 adults and two teenagers) had a very, very relaxing time.
The villa surrounds are incredibly spacious - separate large table to eat around by the huge BBQ, large pool with large covered area adjacent -essential refuge from the midday sun for our week- plenty of sun-loungers and chairs. Breakfasts were eaten on the covered veranda area in front of the main house with it's great views of the orchard and far away hills.
Car hire is essential I think - It's about 35-40mins drive from the airport - you are handily located for the north eastern towns and beaches. Selva is a residential town -with a few bars and restaurants. We only ate out once there - At 'Forno' pizzas and Estella beer at €2 a large glass hit the spot well. As we were on the outskirts and surrounded 180degrees by farmland we felt very secluded and didn't feel like we were a bother to any of the locals.
Monserrat and his wife were very welcoming and allowed us to host other friends who visited us during our stay. They were easy and available for contact - no doubt helped by our fluent Spanish speaking daughter. We were visited once for pool maintenance, which was totally appropriate. There is plenty of gear there for scooping out 'suicide wasps' and we were shown how to use the automatic pool cleaner which is a doddle. We were encouraged to use 'as much fruit from the orchard' as we wanted -which includes delicious figs, peaches, pears, oranges and lemons.
The rooms were spacious - shame there's only 3 double rooms really for a villa this size. Look out in the showers the water pressure is phenomenal! :-) The kitchen facilities were totally adequate for our needs - we noted the new crockery. There was a half size dish washer - used once. Our daughter made some great 'home-grown' lemonade with the juicer as well! We didn't use the TV facilities at all.
Make no mistake this is a fantastic place to rent and we are already talking about coming back. If we are going to be hyper-critical then -- We didn't like the bedding - as there's a plastic-type under-sheet, which in this heat makes you sweat A LOT(!) - For the price we would have liked some simple things provided e.g. more plastic bin sacks, basic cleaning stuff like dish cloths and seven dish washer tablets (only one supplied)?... Air conditioning is extra at €10/day - even during our week we only used it for one day.
All in all a fantastic find. A Great stay.

In many respects, this was the best property we have rented. The house is spacious, clean and well-maintained, stands on a substamtial plot and is decorated and furnished in traditional style. The pool is large with an outdoor shower, sunloungers and parasol and a shady terrace with elegant rattan furniture, all complemented by an abundance of flowering shrubs and palms which are lovingly tended. The view from the house over the pool and orchard towards the Tramuntana mountains is outstanding. The setting is peaceful, private and secure with negligible traffic noise and we enjoyed picking and eating plums, pears and lemons from the huge orchard.
My husband, grandson (13) and I had great fun playing table tennis but we did not use the bikes as my husband deemed them unroadworthy.
We flinched at paying an additional 70 euros for airconditioning for our week's stay but, given the extreme temperatures, it was worth every cent.
The lovely owners met us on arrival and, after explaining what we needed to know, requested feedback, which I have given. We ate out twice but self-catered for the other meals and this is where my difficulties lay. There was insufficient usable crockery (e.g. 6 dinner plates but 1 chipped, 5 mugs but 3 chipped) and I had to be creative in the use of equipment to compensate for the lack of mixing bowls ( e.g. beating eggs in batches in cereal bowls), bread board, oven cloth, etc. These shortcomings were frustrating and the kitchen wasn't always a happy one! We were a group of 3 so a party of 6 guests would have struggled further. Supplementing the crockery stock and providing more non-electrical equipment would make catering less stressful and the whole holiday more enjoyable, This was the first property we have rented that did not have a basic kitchen store cupboard (just salt) or cleaning materials.
This property sits on the edge of Selva, a delightful old, hillside village, so the only way is up - but it is worth the climb for the superb views and to wander through the village's maze of streets and alleyways. The two little supermarkets (open 9.00-1.30 on Sundays) and bakery are a short walk from the property and provide most essentials, which enabled us to top up our main shop at Hipercentro in Inca.
As we did not want to travel far in the heat, we spent a lot of time at the property but can recommend a trip to the caves at Campanet and the little beach of Playa de San Joan. We loved this area of Majorca.

Easy to find with Monserrat's directions from Inca to Selva.
The house itself is in a quiet area and in very secluded grounds, the view from ground and upper floors is out over the pool and across open countryside, with the owner's (help yourself!) lemon, pear, olive and fig trees in the foreground.
The pool was fantastic, and the outdoor eating areas very good. There is a nice shady spot to park the car. Other outdoor facilities were the table tennis table, and the basketball hoop, plus there were cycles available to use (not for us in 32 degree heat!). The outdoor area was very clean and tidy.
On the ground floor was the kitchen / dining room on entry. The kitchen area was very limited for workspace, but we managed. Dishwasher was good, fridge/freezer did its' job. The washing machine is in the outhouse and worked well, iron/ironing board all good. Hob and oven were good, and we cooked at home about 65% of the time.
Also on the ground floor was a double bedroom and a nice bathroom. (A note on the beds....in the villa there were two double beds and two single beds. The doubles were small (definitely smaller than king size) and we found them uncomfortable. The singles were fine for comfort. Plenty of towels and toilet rolls on arrival. The towels were not replenished but we just ran them through the washing machine and hung them on the drying rack for an hour.
Upstairs there is a comfortable lounge which had two settees, tv and dvd player. Could only find one english channel on the tv. A number of decent movies on DVDs in the cupboard. Accessing other content was helped by the wireless internet which was very good.
Two bedrooms upstairs and another really nice bathroom.
Selva is a lovely little town, people very friendly. There is a very small supermarket about 4 minutes walk, with a slightly larger one about 7 minutes walk (it's straight uphill, but has a car park!). As you walk to the supermarkets, you'll see the municipal waste bins on your right - you need to take your rubbish here. Inca has Aldi, Lidl and Eroski supermarkets - ten minute drive away, very easy to find. No supermakets anywhere on Sundays! The Thursday market in Inca is excellent.
Monserrat was very welcoming and helpful. During our time there he attended the property twice to maintain the pool and the orchard and gardens, and was very unobtrusive.
Air conditioning is at a 7 euro per day supplement :-(
All in all, a really nice place and yes, we would go again.
