The bed was comfortable, the property was nice, and the attached restaurant was great.
Old fixtures need updating. My bathroom smelled a little off, though it looked clean. The pillows weren't comfortable. The fridge wasn't plugged in, so the leftovers I'd brought spoiled. The lights are harsh. The ac units were loud.

We stayed here to visit Rio Celeste waterfall. They have a farm with lots of animals and birds. A short walk from the blue river where you can swim. Hotel provides towels. Great restaurant for dinner and breakfast. After having traveled all day, it was nice to stay in this relaxing place. Staff is very friendly.
The room and bathroom were small.

The staff and the room where nice.
The kitchen was empty and so not useable.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast there. That was really good and also there the staff was a plus.
You can walk to the bleu river and towels are provided.
We had no hot water to shower. Not in the evening and not in the morning.
That's why the lower score.

Staff were really helpful and persevered when there was a language barrier. The tubing tour was brilliant our guide Milton was good fun and was knowledgeable about the area. He showed us frogs and volcanic mud for exfoliation, our teenagers loved it. The restaurant on site was decent and good value.
The family room was not very large for 4 but it was clean

Direct access to the river from the hotel property -- though a few minutes drive by car. The swing is fun for the kids. Tubing on the river for $30 per person is a fair price.
The room was so small that two people could not cross. There was not even half a meter between two bed. Basically the room consisted only from beds. There was supposed to be a small kitchen. However, it was empty. No microwave, not even a coffeemaker, a glass or a spoon. Upon complaint, they brought some items for cooking the next day. We payed 130$ and found it too be way too much for this little room. We had payed 120$ for a whole (new) house (three bedrooms, kitchen, jacuzzi) in la Fortuna. Upon arrival we were not explained anything about what to do in the surrounding. The location of the hotel is not very conveniant for the Tenorio Park or any night tours. It's just good for the tubing. And its located right next to the street.

Hotel Sueno Real was great! We loved its remote location and the ability to get up in the morning and stroll through the rainforest to the private little blue b lagoon. There are animals all over the property. And the breakfast is great! There was a great ac unit and tan in the room which was also nice because not many places in the area offered ac.
There was a kitchenette but the fridge was unplugged and there was no cutlery or dishes. It seemed like the kitchenette was more for show!

So glad we booked Sueno Real. It's on a main street but try to arrive before dark as there's very little lights and very easy to miss speed bumps and little potholes. The staff are excellent. The hotel is super clean. The restaurant was delicious every time. We drove around and it was good to go to local stores and soda for lunch. Steven the hotel manager is exceptional. He gave us a lot of helpful information about Tenorio National Park, optimal time to go etc. His English is very good and he helped us retrieve our delayed luggage. If it wasn't for him our luggage may have gone round and round. The tubing is excellent and the guide Anthony was so much fun. We stopped and did some jumps into a deep area. The river in the back is a gem and the reason we chose this hotel. Horseback riding was ok but we went on a muddy day. The owner invited us to a bonfire and fireworks for New year's Eve but we fell asleep before midnight. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Sueno Real Rio Celeste.
There's no hangers to hang wet swimsuits and towels. Bring your own hangers.

This is such a gem of a place! We stopped here for a night on our way from Liberia to Arenal and were so glad we did. Beds were comfortable, room had everything we needed. The hotel is on a farm and we loved seeing all the animals in the morning (be prepared for roosters at dawn! ) Made friends with the dog. THe best part was walking down to the Rio Celeste on their private trail and swimming- they have created such a beautiful little oasis down by the river and we could have stayed there much longer. Onsite restaurant was fantastic and breakfast included. We loved this special little inn and it was a highlight of our trip!

the staff (one guy) was great, so friendly and professional. they have animals, like a bull, donkeys, chickens, peacocks, horses and the dog was so friendly! with a view of rio celeste. they have a bonfire. very good value.
the room was small but sufficient. not much else to do around the area.

Access to the Rio Celeste river for swimming. Good price, nice surroundings, breakfast was good. Had two meals at the restaurant as had to drive to find others.
The family room was pretty small with so many beds in it, kitchen wasted as only a fridge to use and lots of storage cupboards, nothing to cook with. Bathroom needs an upgrade.

Room was adequate, Service and staff was a 10. The scenery was fantastic. Woke up with horses literally walking four or five feet at our door. Horse master, spent special time with my 10 year old daughter. He was the best ever!!!!! Staff was incredible. Wish to say more but I am short of time. Will write in Facebook with pictures in a week. P.S. Water tubing was a 10 too! Book with hotel. The little extra was well worth it. Private guide with my daughter and me. A Sloth came down from a vine 5 to 6 feet from the water. We greeted him for a good five minutes at about a distance no more than 10 feet away. Unfortunately, I had no battery power left in my camera.

The staff was super friendly and the surroundings were amazing! There is a river 600m down a road ok the property where you can swim and the water is so beautiful! If you want to stay there you need to love animals though because there are horses, dogs, chicken, pigs, donkeys, etc and sometimes they just wander around (which we found really cool)

The athmosphere was great and the hotel is very conveniently located near Rio Celeste Waterfall. The swimming spot in the river with the rope was wonderful. We also liked the bonfire at night very much.

There is a sweet little farm right on the property-a sorta shangri-la for farm animals
it was a pretty basic hotel. I guess I was expecting something different after the other reviews. The staff wasn’t very attentive when we were there.
