Location

After some initial confusion about the number of guests, which was eventually sorted out by paying cash, we settled in to the spacious, very well appointed apartment for four days. We had received a message (see photo) immediately after booking in July stating that there was some work being done on the patio which would mean the patio was not available for use. The message also said we could expect no noise issues due to their being double glazing, and that the work being done would not impact our stay at the apartment. On our second day at the apartment there was drilling and excavation work being done on the patio which caused significant noise. This did not impact us hugely as we were out for most of the day. The problem arose when we returned to find the entire apartment filled with fine dust from the excavation work. The surfaces, floors, beds and clothing were covered. We contacted the host Simona to let her know and to ask that she arrange for someone to come and clean the apartment, as it was unhealthy to sleep there. She completely disputed there could be any dust problems, accusing us of having had the doors and windows open- which we hadn’t. She said if we wanted the apartment cleaned it would cost us an additional €30. We cleaned the apartment ourselves. We appreciate the accommodation is an apartment not a hotel and wouldn’t normally expect to have cleaning while staying, but believe it was Simona’s responsibility to ensure her guests had a healthy, clean environment, which it wasn’t. She was unapologetic and dismissive. If you have booked this apartment and have a cancellable booking, we recommend you cancel and find an alternative while the construction work is going on.

Location, two bathrooms

Microwave was in a high cupboard that could be dangerous as we needed a footstool to reach it. Outdoor area was not as good as depicted. Could do with a blind or shutter in the bathroom that looks straight into the building next door.

Fantastic location. Great communication with the host. Very helpful with key collection and being able to drop off luggage before checking in time.

Location was very good. We liked kitchen and living room.

There were 2 bedroom. One of them which we stayed in was very small. The towels are needed to replaced with new ones.

The apartment was very comfortable for 4 people and spotless clean. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and the host even left some snacks, basics to cook with, and coffee. The location was great for walking to everything we wanted to see (although see my comment about noise). The owner was also very accommodating during check-in. You must meet someone to check-in and the owner was responsive to our change in arrival time. The owner also organized an early morning cab for us on the day of check-out. The apartment also has a washer and dryer which came in handy during our stay!

It is VERY loud on Friday and Saturday nights. We are from NYC, and the noise was very disruptive compared to the loud noises we are used to in NYC. Although the noise is out of the apartment owner's control, given this apartment is in the city center and is on the ground floor, this is something to keep in mind before booking this apartment if you are a light sleeper / need quality sleep. As this is a ground floor apartment, you can clearly hear the people lingering outside the windows for hours making a ton of noise until 5am, as well as loud cars, bottles breaking, street cleaners, etc.

Not the fault of the property, yet potential stays need to be aware it is quite noisy on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 12am - 5am due to revellers from bars and then street sweepers.
