Alex met us at the dock with mules in tow to help us find the house and get our luggage delivered. He then gave us a wonderful history of the house and town, as well as restaurant recommendations, as we walked the 400 or so steps to the house. Every one of them worth it! The view was fantastic, the house terrific. This is such a unique place. Loved by the whole family.

It was a privilege to have the opportunity to stay in such a remarkable home. Everything about it was exceptional - the elegant architecture, the personal treasures, the ample space, the views and the generous welcome. Perched high on the hill, it was a haven from the hustle and bustle of the port, and caught a gentle breeze even in the middle of the hottest days. The effort to climb the stairs (easily managed by an active middle aged couple and our young adult children) was more than rewarded every time we entered the lounge and saw the jaw dropping view. Hydra port is a very special place and Rallou House is even more so. We look forward to returning some day.

We found very little to dislike. The WIFI was patchy in a few of the rooms (thought the owners have added multiple APs to alleviate this and both Vodafone and Nova mobile data connections were solid). Apart from that no-one in our part of 5 had any complaints.

The outstanding view over the town from the property. It is an interesting family home with many levels and terraces. The island has an amazing restful atmosphere due to the absence of cars and hopefully this will not change.

Slightly hard work to get up the hill in the summer heat

The loved staying in a traditional Greek home that full of art to enjoy. The views from the many terraces were beautiful. The property owner went out of her way to assist us with arranging transportation from the Athens airport to the Rallou House. Sophia meet us at the harbor and assisted us with grocery shopping on the way to the house.

It was perfect for us. It is a hike up from the harbor, so you need to be able to walk up stairs and would be difficult for someone with limited mobility.

The property was wonderful and the view amazing. The outdoor space was fantastic and internally it was authentically furnished and well equipped. The host was very helpful and kind. We loved everything about it.
