Lakefront Cabin with dock and gentle slope on Norris Lake
La cabane est nichée parmi d'immenses arbres de feuillus avec une belle toile de fond du lac. Une escapade parfaite pour presque toutes les saisons, la cabine offre quelque chose pour tout le monde. Pendant les saisons plus chaudes, vous pouvez profiter du hamac se balançant dans la brise ou vous pouvez mettre vos pieds et vous détendre sur l'un de nos trois ponts surplombant le lac Norris. Si c'est une soirée froide, vous pouvez faire un feu de joie dans notre foyer extérieur ou vous détendre à l'intérieur d'un feu autour de la belle cheminée en pierre. Pendant les jours, vos choix d'activités sont presque illimités. Passez la journée à jouer sur le lac, à dîner dans l'une des marinas voisines pour le déjeuner, à faire une sieste, à lire un livre ou à jouer à des jeux. Il existe de nombreux endroits à proximité pour pratiquer la randonnée, le vélo ou le rafting. Nous avons également deux plates-formes de vague-runner disponibles pour votre usage. Notre propriété a près de 400 pieds de façade sur le lac avec une belle courbe qui annonce la vue sur l'eau environnante. Norris Lake a 800 miles de ligne de rivage qui serpentent à travers les contreforts du Tennessee. Une grande partie des terres est protégée, ce qui contribue à assurer la sécurité et l'abondance de la forêt et de la faune. Le lac est très profond et incroyablement clair. Profitez de notre chalet pour des vacances amusantes en famille, une semaine de pêche avec les garçons ou un week-end relaxant avec les filles.

The location and roads leading to the property are not great. That is to be expected driving up mountains. Very steep driveway, no issue with a truck. Our main concern was the dock, in need of much repair. No actual boat slip, our boat got beat up by the waves, our extra large buoys helped. The view and the property are gorgeous! Absolutely enjoyed the cabin and the screened in porch, very nice in the evenings. Nice view of the lake in the evenings! Property owner informed us of the new build next door, we had no issues. No construction crew during our stay. Overall, the property was nice, clean, and the view of the lake was beautiful.

This was our 6th year staying there and we love the house but not in love with the dock access.
the concern for next year is that the house will not be there and if it is they are building a house right next to it.
we are looking forward to being there next year

Be sure to read instructions carefully- the driveway is steep and gravel. 4 wheel drive is def needed !! Easy to manage if you have it.

The location and layout of the property is awesome. It is a bit rustic, and you'll have to climb down a step ladder to get to the dock. We are agile and in shape, but many people could have trouble getting to the dock...fyi. It is my 3rd year to enjoy this place, and hope to be back!

The cabin is clean and nice. The driveway has new gravel so was easier. Four wheel drive needed for any inclement weather as it is very steep.
The dock was nice. The fire ring was a plus as was the screened in porch. The screened in porch became our morning place to watch the lake and drink coffee. Very serene and nice. The cabin had very comfortable beds, great kitchen with everything you need. They even provided some puzzles which was nice. Overall very family friendly and good place to swim in the cove area. Campfire with s’mores and relaxing watching the lake is really a great feature. The extra deck and chairs really nice too.

getting onto the dock from the steps, was very, very unsafe that needs to be addressed looking at the reviews in the book at the house. The people before us said the same thing stated that the dock maintenance people came and made it worse. Someone will get hurt going from the steps to the dock I suggest a different platform.
We love the house we have stayed there the last five years and hope to continue to stay there every year. Thank you.

A Nice cabin…very comfortable for the 5 of us. Gorgeous view of lake. The owner has thought of everything! Boat dock, 3 decks, fire pit, comfortable furniture on the screened porch, comfortable beds, fully equipped workable kitchen, all in a serene and peaceful wooded area.

Cozy cabin with private lot and easy access to water. Owner’s were quick to respond to communication. Cabin was well equipped with everything needed for the week! Screened porch and fire pit are a bonus .

The driveway was no joke in just steepness. It was recently redone tho and in great condition. The property looked recently cleared and was nice and open. We enjoyed fires at the fire pit every night. We used the Bluetooth speaker that was provided with the cabin. The cabin was just perfect for us and another couple. The kitchen was very well stocked and everything worked. We put out boat in at Whitman hallow and it was only a 10 minute ride to the cabin. It was amazing to be able to just walk down some steps and be right on the water. The only thing we weren't thrilled about was the transistion from the last wooden step to the ramp on the dock. It was almost a 1 foot difference and it was crooked. It seemed like the dock just needed to be pulled in a couple more feet or the steps extanded down some. It was 3-4 ft below full pool while we were there. Overall the place was amazing and can't wait untill we are able to go back.

Nice little getaway place with all the amenities needed for a lake trip: well-equipped kitchen, grill, hammock nearby, screened-in porch overlooking the lake with a couch, nice outdoor eating area near the grill and kitchen, a great fire pit area overlooking the lake, another deck with lounge chairs overlooking the lake, dock with ladder for swimming and plenty of room for docking a boat (marina with rentals nearby). The owners must have addressed the driveway issues because we had no trouble. The driveway is steep as with many lake properties, but looks to have been recently re-worked. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Viasat was internet service provider and was functional.

Was an awesome experience! Scenic drive with a picturesque location. Cannot wait to go back during the summer when the water level is up.
Like the other reviews said, make sure you have a vehicle that can handle the rocky driveway. We hiked it but, could pose challenging for some.

Clean, comfortable and quiet log cabin on the lake. Loved sitting on the screened front porch with my coffee watching and listening to all the woodpeckers in the trees. King size bed was very comfortable.

One of my favorite spots to stay because of the woods and privacy around the cabin. I did clean all the air conditioner filters because they were full. Otherwise, a very nice place to for relaxation and rest.

Cute cabin with good location. Pier was very nice for swimming off of and tying boat to. Overall property was nice but could use some loving care with dusting walls, lighting fixtures, windows, etc. Water pressure was hit or miss in lower shower and upstairs shower was less pressure but got the job done. The driveway was no joke and 4 wheel drive can't be recommended enough! Deep ruts in the gravel drive where water has run down causing them. Definitely in need of repair. Would stay here again with better idea of what to expect.

The owners had some issues with the driveway due to rain, and of course warned us in advance. We said, challenge accepted! Adorable little cabin and perfect for the 4 of us. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Very comfy beds. Just a great stay over all ❤️

Great cabin with charm and very easy walk to the lake. Perfect for a family of 4 and only negative is the metal staircase which is easy to walk into while working in the kitchen. Padding of some sort would be good on the sharp metal corners.

Paradise Found!
Beautiful setting surrounded by trees and a beautiful walkway to the crystal water! Cabin was very clean with all amenities and beds were super comfortable! Definitely need a 4 wheel drive for the driveway. Deck was great for swimming and to tie off pontoon! We will be booking again!

A great place to enjoy the lake
This cabin is in a great location to enjoy the numerous marinas and restaurants on the lake by boat. It is about 30 minutes from town but we spent all of our time either at the cabin or on the lake. The cabin has all the essentials for a family vacation. The large bumper on the dock was greatly appreciated to protect our boat as the waves can get high as the wake boats drive by. The only negative was the lack of water pressure in the showers.

Great cabin on the lake
We had a great family trip at the cabin. It had everything we needed. There is lots of outdoor seating and shade. The dock is perfect for swimming and for novice boaters to be able to dock. We did get a bit of a workout from the stairs to the water and the driveway. Overall a terrific place to stay at Norris Lake

Sweet Spot On The Lake
Cutest little cabin in a fantastic location! We are huge kayakers, and this spot was magical. The property is unique with so many places to hang out. The gas grill was a hit, and we ate outside at a nice big table overlooking the fire pit. The cabin’s kitchen was well stocked and handy. If you love the lake life and don’t mind the rustic nature of a cabin, this little gem is for you!

The property and cabin were accurately described in the listing, however words still don't do it justice!! We have stayed at rentals for over 10 years and have never had such a well stocked home! The fireplace was amazing, the view gorgeous, afternoon walks fantastic! Loved the checkers board!!!

Family visit
The cabin was very clean and comfortable for 3 adults and 2 children. We managed the steep driveway just fine with 4-wheel drive trucks, put the boat in at Whitman Hollow Marina area and parked the trailer there. Enjoyed fishing from the dock, boating, tubing and water skiing. Kitchen was great for meal prep. The screened in porch is terrific for relaxing! Highly recommend!

Secluded and relaxing
The property was private and secluded. Check in is in the rental agreement so don’t look on the VRBO app for instructions. Also, don’t message property owner on VRBO app, find their personal phone number in the rental agreement. On the first day my son found a pill on the carpet and I stepped on a 3 inch drill bit, added frustration to the already frustrating check-in experience, but nobody got hurt. There is a metal spiral stair case to the upstairs loft that our 3 year old was very curious about and the railing is a flimsy plastic tube. If you have kids learning to walk or climb, you may want to reconsider. Also for tall folks, be careful you don’t hit your head on the steps when you’re in the kitchen, my husband did a few times. For a small family, the size is perfect- two kings and two twins plus a pull out couch. Very secluded and relaxing, we loved the setting. The boat dock is nothing special and your boat will take a beating from the constant wake so bring extra bumpers, although there is a nice cushion on side of dock. We had a mixed experience but would probably rent again.

Best lake EVER!!!
Amazing place. We loved everything about it. A little yard space to play catch or Wiffleball!! Where we put the boat in was great but was hard to find the cabin from the water. Directions from the marina to the cabin on water would be very helpful. The map of the lake isn’t good enough for that. We can’t wait to go back. Best lake we’ve ever been too. Clean water and very refreshing.

Amazing Vacation
This property was a dream! We traveled with our children ages 3-18. There was something for everyone! Location was amazing and in a quiet cove! The owners responded immediately to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this cabin and will be back!
