Good breakfast! The parking,although not very far from the hotel forced us to take minimum things in one backpack.

The house at the top was nice and well equipped. The swimming pool is small but nice in the evening. The bathroom was also well equipped and the breakfast down in the main house was very nice.

The room had no proper windows and was quite dark and humid. Our neighbours kept on smoking in their room and starting the fire alarm. That was unpleasant.

located in the heart of old Obidos. it’s very quiet. coffe service.

it’s nothing special given it’s location. the room smelled. the check in process was rather cumbersome. no site parking. you have to carry your luggage from outside the fort. no service available to help bring your luggage to the hotel. Given the amount they are charging, providing luggage service would be essential. breakfast was mediocre with lot of old pastries and bread. very short of staff.

The hotel is misrepresented on Booking. Based on my filter for the search, photos and description, I was sure to have booked an hotel with swimming pool. Besides we had no indication at all (in any of the mail sent by booking or directly by the hotel) that the hotel was not reachable by car but only by foot (car must be left outside the walls). Only arriving in Obidos we found out about the access (not big deal for us but imagine someone with walking problems or big luggage). Only during check in we found out that there was not swimming pool (apparently it belongs to another building of the same property of the Pausada) in any case not available for us

pretty much everything started with the lady at the reception being very not nice and announcing us that out of 4 rooms 2 where in a separate building, 200 meters away. i didnt see that info at all when booking and didn’t pay attention when the confirmation email said it was « a few meters » away. so no, it s not a few meters away, and the rooms there where for kids, so we had to split families. regarding the decoration, it is rustic and lacking any touch of taste, very simple, which is ok for the price. it is far from being a 4 stars hotel and it is unfair to real 4 stars hotels to leave the rating on! the room cards kept on being demagnetized so we had to ask for new ones all the time, but most of the time there is no staff, or they are busy and not helpful (the lady kept us waiting 10 mns to give a new card because she was checking in new customers, instead of helping us by doing a 10 seconds operation.) there were spiders web in corners of one of the rooms ceilings and actually, compared to the hotel we stayed in Lisbon, the value for money is a shame here

The location is ideal if you want to discover Óbidos. From here you can also get to many nice beaches and towns.

The window seal in my bed room is crap and I got woken up every time someone shouted in the street. Avoid any festivity weeks to stay here.

Located within the castle walls so we readily wandered the castle streets, ate in the restaurants and visited the shops. It is very quiet after 9pm when the restaurants close. There is no nightlife that we saw or heard. This was fine with us as we wanted to sleep so we could travel the next day.

Parking is available but I am not used to driving or parking on narrow cobblestone streets so that was a challenge but we managed.

The property is lovely and it was great to have a kitchen and pool after travelling for a couple months. Though, you do need to go into Caldas (10eu) taxi ride away to get to a supermarket. The rooms were super clean, the cleaning crew were super lovely.

The villa (one of three) is located up stairs and cobbled paths and not accessible by car. You don’t actually check in at “your villa” and reception is right at the other end of the town which means lugging your suitcases up and down quite steep paths and large steps. It is not accessible for the elderly or anyone with any mobility issues. Why Pestana don’t have a golf buggy to meet guests at the main gate with their luggage I have no idea! It would solve so many issues for both guests and staff. The ladies at reception were not friendly or helpful at all. In fact, the cleaners were far more friendly and helpful and if it was my place, I’d be reversing the roles!

Right in the centre of Obidos old town but in a quiet road. Easy walking to everything.

The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

The only suggestion is that directions should be sent with the reservation rather than getting out and walking to the Pousada and then getting the driving directions.

1st. not enough signs to find it 2. check in is not on site 3. no reception eventhough advertosed as a hotel 4. our room is onlupy fit for a storage as it is next to the kitchen thya has the extractor booming from early in the morning and you can’t rest 5. r3ception doesn’t pick the phone up when you are desperate for guidance etc..
